About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I've owned and cared for dogs since I was 8 years old and have experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, personalities, and temperaments. Along with dogs, I've cared for cats throughout my life and have completed extended cat-sitting assignments lasting up to 8 months. My animal experience doesn't stop there—I have also cared for exotic pets, including lizards, reptiles, and birds, and have owned birds myself. I understand that every animal has unique needs, and I pride myself on adapting my care to each pet's personality and routine. One of my specialties is working with larger reactive dogs. As the owner of a reactive dog myself, I understand the importance of patience, consistency, reading body language, and maintaining a safe environment. Safety is something I take extremely seriously—for your pet, for myself, and for everyone around us. I always follow owner instructions carefully and prioritize responsible handling practices during walks, drop-ins, and house sits. Over the years, I've provided house-sitting and drop-in care for many friends and their pets, giving me experience adapting to different homes, schedules, and care requirements. Whether your pet needs a high-energy play session, medication reminders, quiet companionship, or a structured routine, I'm happy to accommodate their needs. As an added bonus, my apartment complex has a dog washing station available for baths if requested. I also love building genuine bonds with the animals I care for and occasionally leave owner-approved treats or small gifts for pets I've gotten to know well. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I treat every pet in my care with the same love, attention, and respect that I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry, feathered, or scaled family members! My schedule is perfect for pet care throughout the week! I'm available on weekdays before 10:00 AM and again after 5:00 PM for drop-in visits, walks, and check-ins. On weekends, I have open availability and can provide care at any time of day. I'm happy to work with your pet's routine whenever possible, whether they need an early morning visit, evening care, or multiple check-ins throughout the day. Feel free to reach out with your needs, and I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule! I provide pet care directly in your home, helping your pet stay comfortable in their familiar environment while you're away. This includes drop-in visits, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, walks, and any other routine care your pet needs. Staying in their own home helps reduce stress for pets, especially cats and animals that do better with consistency. I’m happy to follow your instructions closely to make sure everything stays as close to their normal routine as possible while you're gone.
About: 👋🐕🦺 Hello there! My name is Anh. I retired from my pet daycare attendant job years ago. Now I'm working my heart out to build my own business ventures while getting back to my love for pet care. Working as a pet attendant has not only enforced my love for animals even further but it has also taught me how to handle various animal-related situations. It was one of those jobs that after you quit for years, you still reminiscing about. I reminisce about the pups I took care of every single day. Seeing the joys on the pets and their owner's face after the end of each daycare session always makes my day — bonus point when the dogs do their little exciting dance when they see you! During my time working fulltime there, I worked with 100+ fur babies a day (from small babies to big boys!) From giving your fur children medicine to showering them due to digestive issue, I've done (and mastered) it all. I'm currently working as a digital designer but the corporate working culture is killing my soul. Hence, I would LOVE to branch out to different paths and journeys. If it makes any different at all regarding you feeling confident about my services, I know how to train cats to do tricks! 😏 So if you're feeling easy-chris-breezy, let's chat! 🐕🦺🫶 Also an honorable shout out to Ariel, a senior German Shepherd who was under medical procedure that I took care for — I miss you every day bud <3 I'm currently working on my own businesses with this on the side so my schedule is super flexible and can be adjust based on your needs. Morning and early afternoon are the ideal time slots for me, but I am open for discussion. At the end of the day, your pets healthy routine is what matter! I am active and love hiking. Although my place doesn't have a yard, I can take your babies out for fun walks and activies in the park. I am also very organized in my home so your pets will feel absolutely comfortable with an odor-free and cleaned environment. My security, Storm (from X-Men), will also make sure no bugs can attack your pets.

About: My house has been filled with pets since before I was born! My family has rescued dogs, cats and horses from shelters, bad homes, and the streets in order to give them loving forever-homes. As an only child, my dogs and cats were more like siblings than pets. I've taken care of dogs since I was old enough to do chores and have loved every animal in my life, whether they were my family's pets or those of friends. I have two cats with me here in Maryland and a Lab and Corgi who are with my family in Minnesota! I'd love to take your pup on a walk or care for your dog or cat while you're away! I'm a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule. I work from home and try to inject breaks into my day by taking walks, which I'd love to do with your dog! I have a vehicle and am happy to drive within my listed range to walk or sit for you. I have a townhouse with a back yard and there is a dog park 4 minutes from my home. Depending on your pet and their needs, I may be able to host your dog at my home while you're away. In my home, pets' safety, comfort, and needs are always met. Preventative measures are taken to make sure no dangerous objects/ingestibles are laying around. Water is always available and food is given at the proper times. Playtime and walking are essential, but proper leash and collar/harness and baggies are always a must when outside! To me, dogs are the focus of a walk and should not just be closely watched to make sure they are safe, but should also be engaged with, praised, and loved throughout. Similarly, pet-sitting is an active role that requires my attention--lucky for me I also get to have a blast playing with and caring for your dog while sitting!

About: Hi I have been pet sitting for family and friends for about 5 years and have pet sat all different kinds of pets of all different ages, sizes, and personalities . I treat every pet like my own, with lots of patience, engaging playtime, and lots of love. I am currently working on getting my realtors license so I have plenty of free time to play with your fur babies. I am free weekdays and weekends. In your home please walk me through where your pets food is, litter, their favorite hiding spots, their toys , etc. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable regardless of the fact that their family isn’t home.

About: I am a lifelong pet lover and owner, here to help with your furry family! I use Rover for my own dog when I travel and know how important it is to find someone you can trust when you are away from home. I have decades of pet ownership and care experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and more. I also have experience as a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raiser (2 years), worked in veterinary hospitals (3 years), and am capable of assisting with oral medication and other needs. Currently I have a 40lb pitbull mix who keeps me on my toes, but I have some extra time to help with your pet care! Sombra does not play well with other dogs, so she will stay at home while I care for your pet. I am a DOGE-d federal worker trying to make ends meet until I find new full-time work. At the moment I am available on weekdays and weekends. I will care for your pets in your home. I will respect your home and house rules and strive to follow any requests you have related to the care of your pets. My dog can be territorial and does not appreciate canine guests in my home.

“Didi is friendly and has a clear love of animals! She arrived promptly, sent photos, and left a message about how the walk went. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Monats was super helpful and really came through for our pup during a schedule pinch! She took excellent care of Rosie and was very on top of making sure Rosie’s care requirements were met. And I really appreciated her experience and diligence in catching and thwarting my dogs attempts to eat sticks and mulch even though I had forgotten to warn in advance!”

“Hired Brittany to walk/play with Mason during the workday (60 minutes). He had a blast and was relaxed and tired when he came back. Brittany was timely and efficient and sent pics/update when finished. Will be hiring Brittany again.”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. I’ve previously provided cats and dogs care with a company called Pet Nanny and was certified through Pet Sitters International. I especially enjoy walking small and medium-sized dogs and always make sure each walk is filled with patience, attention, and lots of love. After my job ended in September due to a reduction in force, I decided to follow my heart and focus on animal care full time, beginning with dog walking from 11am-10pm. I also except dogs day care. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I walk with full attention to my surroundings and to what your dog needs in the moment. We take our time so they can do their business, enjoy plenty of sniffing and “reading messages,” stretch their legs, and truly enjoy the walk before heading home. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and will always keep you updated about anything special, unusual, or urgent that comes up.
“Laura is amazing!!!! She walked my skittish labradoodle, and it was clear my dog was fully at ease with Laura. She was timely, communicated well, and sent photos. Would highly recommend her to any dog owner!”

“Jess is great at communicating any little delays in her arrival, and I never worry while I travel. She will do whatever is needed to see that my sweet old dog is taken care of while I am away.”

“Heidi was great with my babies. She communicated great. There was an issue with my address and it sent her to my old house. She was very understanding and went the extra mile to drive 30 minutes to my current house. You want a sitter like that. You should definitely book with Heidi.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. “Victor is great with my dog Marcie! She can sometimes be wary of strangers but she liked him immediately. He is very conscientious and kind. Victor will take good care of your pets.”
“Hana is a truly kind and caring animal lover who took exceptional care of our pup Dexter (and his humans by providing lots of updates and super cute photos) while we were out of town! Highly recommend her and we plan to ask her to come back for future dog walking/pet sitting needs too!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gaithersburg
“Romario was fantastic with Nalu! He was incredibly communicative throughout, always letting me know exactly when he arrived and when he was leaving, plus sending pictures during the walk so I could see Nalu having a great time. That level of communication put my mind completely at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks; Nalu came home happy and well-exercised every time. He’s reliable, punctual, and clearly experienced with different dog personalities. I’d trust him with Nalu again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone looking for a walker who treats their pup like family.”

We did a meet and greet earlier in the week and it went great. My dog can be shy with strangers so she was patient and let him sniff her. Then for the scheduled walk, they walked along a trail that I recommended since my dog is people and dog reactive. She gave him more water and put him back in the playpen as requested which is important since he gets into stuff. Overall, great experience.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
