“Danielle did a great job. We have a nervous dog who doesn’t always like to walk but she tried lots of tricks and got her to at least pee on every visit. She kept us posted along the way. Thank you!”
About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life and, for the first time, find myself without any pets. I have an abundance of ear scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles just waiting for pets who are missing their people. My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules so are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. We also have two children, 8 and 11, who both grew up with dogs and cats and are experienced and comfortable with both. Your pet will be the only one in our home, so they will get lots of attention, playtime, and snuggles! We have a big house that pets are free to explore and where they can make themselves at home. We also have an unfenced 3-acre backyard that connects to a path through the woods - your dog can enjoy a daily hike through the forest, smelling the many interesting smells and splashing in the creek if so desired. And we live on a cul-de-sac in a residential area perfect for safe neighborhood walks. If you are looking for someone who loves dogs and is responsible and loving to take care of your pups when you're not around, please reach out! Please note: 1. All dogs must be fully potty trained, neutered or spayed, vaccinated, and on flea and tick preventative. All pets must be comfortable with children. 2. “I only had Doc for a month before I needed a reliable and professional walker who I could trust. Marc is the perfect fit! Doc is skittish at times but he warmed up to Marc almost instantly. He's punctual and always sends a few pictures of the walk. I definitely recommend him!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 16, helping my friend take care of their dog when they needed to go on vacation and whenever I would visit. Additionally, I’ve taken care of my sister’s dog for extended periods of time. I’m currently on winter break from college, so I’ll be here for about 3-4 more weeks. So for the time being, I should be available about every day except for Sunday. I have a fenced yard and large home. I can care for a pet in just about any place around my home at almost all times.
“Mila LOVED her! Like immediately! Never seen her respond so nicely within seconds to a stranger before. She could clearly sense Leticia’s good energy :) I appreciated that Leticia was available to walk her on such short notice. Mila came back tired (a sign of success) and clearly had a good walk.”

“Lauren did an excellent job with being patient and waiting for Rocket to get comfortable with her. She was able to get him to go out and walk rather than staying in and sleeping which her prefers. I would highly recommend her.”

“Jessica was so amazing with our pups, they loved her! She arrived promptly and left a very detailed description and shared many cute pictures of the dogs. We hope to book with Jessica in the future.”

About: I gotta be honest, I don't have an extensive list of pet sitting experience on my resume. But, I have pet-sat two dogs (a german shepherd and a minipoo) and have cared for three dogs throughout my life, one (collie) whose back legs gave out a year before she passed, and another two since they were puppies (black lab, jindo). My dog has hypothyroidism so I give him levothyroxine everyday and am familiar with diets to not trigger pancreatits. I have a fairly open schedule with an exception to Friday nights and Sunday mornings. Any time else I am fairly flexible and open to working! I can feed, walk, pick up, and play with your dogs anytime necessary. I can't house them but I am willing to drive reasonable distances!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life so taking care of pets has always been second nature to me. I’m used to all the basics like walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure they are getting plenty of attention and maybe a few extra treats if allowed. For the past five years, I’ve been regularly pet sitting for friends, family, and others and I’ve met all kinds of personalities from high-energy dogs who never want to stop playing to the ones who just want to hang out and relax. I like to stick to your pet’s usual routine so they feel comfortable while you are away, and I will make sure they are well cared for and getting lots of attention the whole time! I am home from College for much of the Summer, so I will have a very flexible schedule to be able to care for your pets! Any day, any time I could be there to help you out! I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and kept on their normal routine as much as possible. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication administration, and household rules. I always double-check doors, gates, and leashes for safety before and during care. I keep the environment calm and give pets plenty of attention so they feel relaxed while their owner is away.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs then owned two blue heelers: one hearing and one deaf. Happy to take good care of your sweet doggies and that you can relax while you are away. I work from home and have a super flexible schedule. I have a doggy door and a fenced yard, and nice trail for long walks. Will invite your doggie(s) as part of our routine and happy to walk more than once a day- will give attention and be sure your dog is happy and comfortable

About: I currently work at a dog daycare where I help care for dogs of different sizes and personalities throughout the day. My responsibilities include feeding, supervising playtime, cleaning, and making sure each dog is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I also have experience volunteering with dog adoptions and assisting at an animal hospital, where I was able to learn more about handling and caring for animals in a medical and shelter environment. I’ve been around animals my whole life, especially my own dog, which has helped me understand how to be patient, gentle, and attentive to their needs. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine because I already work with dogs regularly at a daycare. I’m used to early mornings, consistent routines, and staying flexible with different schedules. I also have time in the afternoons, evenings, and some weekends to dedicate fully to pet care, walks, and check-ins. I always prioritize safety, trust, and comfort when caring for pets. I closely follow each pet’s routine and any instructions provided by the owner. In my home or the client’s home, I make sure the environment is clean, calm, and secure. I supervise pets at all times, give them lots of attention, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m patient and gentle, and I treat every pet like they’re my own.
“Sabina is friendly, caring, and energetic! She is great with dogs, and my pup had a fantastic time on his walk. He didn’t even look back as he left the house, was so excited to go with Sabina!”

“Cecilia is always incredibly responsive, and my dog absolutely loves her! She is kind and caring, and it is obvious that she really cares about Levee. I can go to work for the day knowing that levee will be in good hands with Cecilia.”
North Potomac dog parents share their Rover experiences
Monika is an excellent dog walker. She helped us out on a fairly last minute request to walk George while we had to go out of town unexpectedly. She was friendly, calm, extremely kind and efficient. Monika was very punctual each day and kept in touch with us on a regular basis with photos and updates. I’d highly recommend Monika and we would definitely use her again. She’s the best!! Thank you Monika for all your kindness.

Katie has provided phenomenal care for Paige. She communicates well and is always prompt, reliable, and kind. She has been a godsend, not only with respect to affording me the ability to more easily adjust to new work schedules despite having to leave Paige at home, but also in enabling us to feel secure in knowing Paige is in incredibly competent and compassionate hands. Most importantly, Paige loves Katie. On several occasions, I have had to work from home but did not cancel the walks and observed Paige run to the front door when Katie comes in (she doesn’t even do that with me!). Thanks, Katie!

Pilar is amazing!! She is so friendly, kind, and positive - she is also a certified dog whisperer because my pup, who is normally very shy around strangers, loved her almost immediately. It was so awesome to see how he was always so happy to see her. I also really appreciated how professional and communicative Pilar was - I knew my pup was in capable hands and having a great walk every time!

Kristin did a wonderful job taking care of our two girls! She was communicative and kind, and really got along with our girls and their friendly, boisterous personalities. We felt very comfortable having her take care of them, and definitely will be reaching out to have her back when we need someone!
