“Mila LOVED her! Like immediately! Never seen her respond so nicely within seconds to a stranger before. She could clearly sense Leticia’s good energy :) I appreciated that Leticia was available to walk her on such short notice. Mila came back tired (a sign of success) and clearly had a good walk.”

About: Back in Maryland for July for Summer Break!I’ve had two dogs (including a GSD!) Additionally, I have fostered two cats. In my current apartment, I have no pets. I understand all animals have different personalities and that’s what makes them special. I’m a medical school student so actually owning a pet is a little difficult but I would to help take care of yours from time to time! As a medical school student I would love to fit my time to help between my studies! I believe rover is perfect for that. Thank you! For cats - I can board them ! For dogs - I can take them for walks, I enjoy taking walks myself and if a dog can get some extra air - it’s a win win!
About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life and, for the first time, find myself without any pets. I have an abundance of ear scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles just waiting for pets who are missing their people. My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules so are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. We also have two children, 8 and 11, who both grew up with dogs and cats and are experienced and comfortable with both. Your pet will be the only one in our home, so they will get lots of attention, playtime, and snuggles! We have a big house that pets are free to explore and where they can make themselves at home. We also have an unfenced 3-acre backyard that connects to a path through the woods - your dog can enjoy a daily hike through the forest, smelling the many interesting smells and splashing in the creek if so desired. And we live on a cul-de-sac in a residential area perfect for safe neighborhood walks. If you are looking for someone who loves dogs and is responsible and loving to take care of your pups when you're not around, please reach out! Please note: 1. All dogs must be fully potty trained, neutered or spayed, vaccinated, and on flea and tick preventative. All pets must be comfortable with children. 2. About: Hi, I'm from Colombia. I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I've had pets all my life, so I know how important and valuable they are to us. With me you'll find an excellent caregiver; I love playing with them, taking them for walks, feeding them. You can fully trust me to leave your four-legged friend. I have full-time availability every day of the week, including weekends. Since I don't have other work commitments right now, my schedule is incredibly flexible. I can easily accommodate your pet's specific feeding, walking, and playtime routines at any time. When staying at your home, I strictly follow your rules and routines to keep your pet comfortable. I ensure all doors and gates are securely locked, maintain a clean space, and provide regular photo updates so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away.
“Payton did an amazing job walking our sweet Polly, even though Polly was hiding and reluctant to walk at first. We would recommend Payton to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog walker!”

About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs and cats my whole life. I love to take care of pets and go on walks! I also am very flexible with timing and am always looking to be of help! I’m currently working part time, so I have a lot of free time to take care of and play with your pets! I am flexible with distance and timing as well. I will always be open to whatever you feel comfortable with in terms of keeping your pet safe. Their safety is my main priority always!
“Jessica was so amazing with our pups, they loved her! She arrived promptly and left a very detailed description and shared many cute pictures of the dogs. We hope to book with Jessica in the future.”

“Lauren did an excellent job with being patient and waiting for Rocket to get comfortable with her. She was able to get him to go out and walk rather than staying in and sleeping which her prefers. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I am currently only accepting hypoallergenic dogs for boarding and doggy daycare! These include but are not limited to: Bichon, Poodles (or any doodle), Yorkies, Maltese, and Schnauzer. I own two dogs, one is a young Miniature Goldendoodle that I have had since she was a couple of months old, and the other is a senior Toy Poodle that I have had since she was 5 years old. I have 10 years of experience caring for animals and always research how to best care for the animal in question. I have 2 years of experience with professional pet sitting. I am currently a student living at home, so I have plenty of time to care for pets, especially since I care for my own. I am available most of the week, every week. My yard is unfenced; however, we do have a chicken-wire fence in the backyard for my own dog, who has plenty of space to run around and play. We have lots of toys for your fur baby, and a kind and playful dog to keep your fur baby company. I can crate small dogs, but do not have large enough crates for large or medium dogs. If caring for your pet at your home, I can ensure your fur baby gets lots of playtime and walks.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 16, helping my friend take care of their dog when they needed to go on vacation and whenever I would visit. Additionally, I’ve taken care of my sister’s dog for extended periods of time. I’m currently on winter break from college, so I’ll be here for about 3-4 more weeks. So for the time being, I should be available about every day except for Sunday. I have a fenced yard and large home. I can care for a pet in just about any place around my home at almost all times.
“I only had Doc for a month before I needed a reliable and professional walker who I could trust. Marc is the perfect fit! Doc is skittish at times but he warmed up to Marc almost instantly. He's punctual and always sends a few pictures of the walk. I definitely recommend him!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for a few years now and decided I want to help those in need of a dog sitter and some training. I’m a nurse and work 3 days a week and looking to dog sit or walk on my days off. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can switch my days around if needed. I have an American Bully named Milo who is 10 months old. He loves meeting new dogs and is very friendly. I have a small fenced yard but I will take my puppy on walks at least 2-3 times a day. Because Milo is still a puppy having another dog will also help his energy levels.

Monika is an excellent dog walker. She helped us out on a fairly last minute request to walk George while we had to go out of town unexpectedly. She was friendly, calm, extremely kind and efficient. Monika was very punctual each day and kept in touch with us on a regular basis with photos and updates. I’d highly recommend Monika and we would definitely use her again. She’s the best!! Thank you Monika for all your kindness.

Katie has provided phenomenal care for Paige. She communicates well and is always prompt, reliable, and kind. She has been a godsend, not only with respect to affording me the ability to more easily adjust to new work schedules despite having to leave Paige at home, but also in enabling us to feel secure in knowing Paige is in incredibly competent and compassionate hands. Most importantly, Paige loves Katie. On several occasions, I have had to work from home but did not cancel the walks and observed Paige run to the front door when Katie comes in (she doesn’t even do that with me!). Thanks, Katie!

Pilar is amazing!! She is so friendly, kind, and positive - she is also a certified dog whisperer because my pup, who is normally very shy around strangers, loved her almost immediately. It was so awesome to see how he was always so happy to see her. I also really appreciated how professional and communicative Pilar was - I knew my pup was in capable hands and having a great walk every time!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
