“Kyrstin was wonderful taking care of our two cats while we were gone for a week! She kept us very updated and shared a lot of photos. She managed medication administration for one of our cats as well. We would trust her over and over again to take care of our boys 💙🐾”

About: I loved growing up with a dog so much, so after college I joined Rover and started pet sitting + walking. I gained 10 years experience (walking, boarding, and sitting) through apps like Rover, Wag!, and Trusted Housesitters, and connections. I I am always around animals whether at home with my one eyed dog or at a pet sit + drop in. I am comfortable with most dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for them. When I have a sit or drop in, I will dedicate my time to loving and supporting them. I would love to support their routine and activities, where they can get plenty of pets, affirmations, play time, and any necessary medication, while you're away. I have experience with administering injections, oral meds (pills + liquid), diapers, and specific conditions like early IVDD, seizures, anxiety, no teeth, one eye, and hip dysplasia. I've looked after puppies to seniors, and breeds like english/french/american bulldogs, labs, dachshund, mini poodle, cavapoo, pit mixes, boston terriers, newfoundland, and irish wolfhound to name a few. I'm currently a pet sitter full-time, so I can offer my complete attention to the care of your animal(s). My availability is updated often for sits and drop-ins. I'm very comfortable with short and long term sits after pet sitting across Europe last year. I care for pets with a decade of pet care experience. That means preparation prior to bookings, taking notes on their needs + care, asking necessary questions, maintaining their daily routines, respecting your personal spaces, and offering clear communication + updates through your preferred method. My goal is to support your pet's well-being as well as your peace of mind. I understand the trust it requires to allow another to take care of your pet + home.
About: I’ve had dogs as pets my whole life! I grew up volunteering at animal shelters so I have plenty of hands on experience. I’ve been freelance pet sitting for about 5 years now. I have cat sit for 5 different families in the past. I never had a cat so I feel this helped me gain some cat experience. I’ve dog sat for senior dogs requiring special medication and have had senior dogs myself. I’m a huge animal lover and am so excited to meet your pups/ kitties! I’m perfect to call for mid day dog walking or a drop in visit when you’re at work! I’m currently unemployed and am looking forward to pet sitting/ dog walking full time! I am a very structured person so I will follow any and all directions that you leave for me. I will do as much as I can to make your pet feel at ease while you are on your family vacation, work trip, etc. I’ve been an animal lover all my life so I promise to give your pets the same love & affection that I do give to my own fur babies! I know everyone says that, but I truly enjoy being around animals!
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I can remember. From house sitting, to walking them, to even taking care of my own dog. I’ve worked with different breeds and ages, and I love them all! I stay at home mostly throughout the week, and I’ve been wanting to get out a couple of times, and this would be the perfect opportunity to take care of your dogs in walking, or dropping by to play! I live in an apartment complex, so I would have to go to where you are to walk/play with your dog, or I could take them to a dog park!

“Leticia was amazing. She took such great care of our dog Scooby and our cat Sandy while we were away for the weekend. She kept us updated, was easy to communicate with, and clearly loves animals. We came home to two happy and relaxed pets, which is all we could ask for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”
“I am consistently impressed with Don’s attentiveness and excellent communication when caring for my two cats! I am a repeat customer of Don’s and will continue to hire him. I am often out of town for long stretches of time for work and I always come home to two happy, well cared for cats. Don always makes note of my cats’ behavior, as well as general care he performed. It’s a comfort knowing that Don is giving thorough attention to detail when I’m away.”

“Andrew is a cat owner who understands senior cats. My cat is almost 16 and rather persnickety, which didn’t faze Andrew one bit. He was reliable, thoughtful and trustworthy in the care of my kitty and I would absolutely hire him again.”

About: My first experience caring for pets began with my golden retriever, Max, who I got as a puppy when I was 9 years old. We had him for 10 amazing years until his passing in 2017. The following year, I began working at an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant, where I developed a genuine interest in veterinary care. During my six years at the clinic, I gained a strong understanding of what it takes to properly care for both dogs and cats. I've worked hands-on with pets of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities—from Chihuahuas and Yorkies to French Mastiffs and Great Danes, as well as cats with a wide range of temperaments. My experience taught me how to safely handle and care for animals while also recognizing when they may be stressed, uncomfortable, or simply need a little extra patience. The health, safety, and well-being of your pet(s) will always be my top priority. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members, and I'll put both my experience as a lifelong pet owner and my veterinary healthcare background to good use to make sure they're safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they're with me. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the week and on weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. With six years of veterinary assistant experience, I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and will closely follow any instructions you provide.
“Xiaoyi was absolutely amazing with my dog Bella. At first, I was skeptical about this service as I am very picky about who I like to work with Bella. That being said I would absolutely book Xiaoyi without any hesitation or reservation. If you like someone who is very attentive communicative and very caring, please look no further. While I was away on my trip, she kept me informed with pictures and text messages on my dogs experience. I look forward to working with her in the future! 10 out of 10 experience!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for other people’s dogs for years, and for the past two years I’ve especially loved walking and doing drop-in visits for dogs in my neighborhood. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each fur baby, learning their personality and routine, and making sure they get plenty of love and attention while their humans are away. I’m also a dog mom myself, so I know how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your dogs. After having such wonderful experiences using Rover for my own pups, I decided it was time to join the sitter side and share that same kind of care with other families! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which makes welcoming another fur baby into my home an easy fit! I personally provide all care, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, playtime, and love throughout the day rather than spending long stretches alone. I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, potty, walking, and bedtime routine as closely as possible. Your fur baby will be welcomed into my dog-loving home with a fully fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs who love having company! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so your dog will get plenty of attention, outdoor time, and companionship throughout the day. I walk my dogs regularly and would love to include your fur baby in our walks when appropriate. I’ll personally provide their care and follow their normal feeding, potty, sleeping, and care routines as closely as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while their humans are away.
“We couldn’t be happier with Jina! She went above and beyond to make our skittish cat comfortable with her during drop ins. Her reports were detailed with plenty of pictures. We look forward to book Jina again!”

“Jessica was wonderful with all of our pets! I always get anxious leaving my “pack” (3 dogs, 4 cats) for the weekend but Jessica was wonderful and took such good care of them. I would totally hire her again!”

Lingshan was incredibly attentive to Walter, my senior Ragdoll kitty. He generally does not take well to strangers, but Lingshan has the magic touch with him! She even got him some extra kitty treats when his were running low. Lingshan will be taking care of Walter again this week and I can't wait to have her back during future trips. It gives me a lot of peace of mind to know Walter is so well cared for and I think having Lingshan there takes the edge of his stress that comes with us being gone.

Brooke has been a Godsend to me and my fur baby, Henry. I’ve used her for all my cat sitting needs recently because she is so thoughtful, communicative and responsible. My cat is quite shy and has warmed to her - I recommend any nervous cats to be in her care. She also helped me out last minute due to a family emergency. She was very flexible and responsive, cleaned out my fridge and even brought over litter to help when I ran out. She is my favourite cat sitter 🤍

Andrew was an excellent sitter for our two kitties while we were away. He sent us numerous photos and adhered strictly to their routine. It was evident that our kitties adored him and were delighted to see him in the pictures. We’re definitely planning to use Andrew again for our next trip away.🥰

Jony is a great sitter— communicative, responsive, friendly, and professional. We’re grateful he was available on such short notice and that he cared for our cats like they were his own. We especially appreciated the pictures and updates that showed each cat’s personality.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
