About: I’ve had dogs as pets my whole life! I grew up volunteering at animal shelters so I have plenty of hands on experience. I’ve been freelance pet sitting for about 5 years now. I have cat sit for 5 different families in the past. I never had a cat so I feel this helped me gain some cat experience. I’ve dog sat for senior dogs requiring special medication and have had senior dogs myself. I’m a huge animal lover and am so excited to meet your pups/ kitties! I’m perfect to call for mid day dog walking or a drop in visit when you’re at work! I’m currently unemployed and am looking forward to pet sitting/ dog walking full time! I am a very structured person so I will follow any and all directions that you leave for me. I will do as much as I can to make your pet feel at ease while you are on your family vacation, work trip, etc. I’ve been an animal lover all my life so I promise to give your pets the same love & affection that I do give to my own fur babies! I know everyone says that, but I truly enjoy being around animals!

“Nathalie was very kind and patient with our pup, and great at communicating with us despite a 6 hour time difference. Very reliable and trustworthy, will definitely be using her services again in the future.”

“Kyrstin was wonderful with Shae. Shae is most times timid and afraid of new people, being a small dachshund. Amazing Shae took to Kyrstin, because she was so patient and sweet with her. Also, Shae jumped on her and wanted love, which she never does with new people. If I could give 10 stars , I would. Kyrstin is definitely an animal person , my Shae loved her , and your dog will too. I highly recommend Kyrstin to other dog owners looking for the right person. She will the go to for me and Shae in the future. Thank you so much Kyrstin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
About: Hi, I'm Delaney! I've been an animal lover my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters, even rats! I have experience with high energy and high prey-drive dogs, as well as pets with behavioural issues and physical limitations. Your pets safety and comfort is always the top priority, and I'll keep you updated so you have peace of mind during your time away from them. I primarily offer dog walking services, and I especially love working with families in need of a consistent walker. I've been a walker for a few families for over four years now, and it never gets old seeing all those tails wag. Let's set up a time for a meet and greet so your pets and I can become acquainted! I am currently a part-time student, so my schedule for the foreseeable future is wide open. Just give me a window, and we'll make it work! I strongly recommend a meet and greet with you, me, and your pets before our first walk or drop-in. This allows me to understand your expectations as well as any of your pets' quirks that I should be aware of. I am very attentive both to instructions and to my surroundings while taking care of fur babies to ensure everyone's safety. Unless directed otherwise, for dog walks I will mostly stray away from other dogs to avoid any possible conflict. For checkins, I will make sure your pet has everything they need: clean water, food if requested, and a clean & comfortable space. I love sending updates and pictures so you know how your pet is doing throughout the day 🐾

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since 2000 and cats since I was 8. From kitten, puppies to senior dogs and cats, I love them all. I will care for your dog like they were my own. I currently work from home everyday. I can walk dogs before work, pet sit all day, or watch them in the evening or overnight. I am available for long stays as well. I have no pets at this time so your pet can be comfortable and roam around freely. I can feed, play with and give lots of attention.

“Gloria was WONDERFUL. It was the first time we went with the sitter for our cat, and she eased all our anxiety. She was very communicative, kind, and thorough. We cannot recommend her enough.”

“Jessica was able to sit for us on short notice and took care of our fur babies during the holiday season. She was flexible, able to administer medicine and spent time playing with our cats to help de-stress them while we were away.”
About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life and, for the first time, find myself without any pets. I have an abundance of ear scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles just waiting for pets who are missing their people. My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules so are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. We also have two children, 8 and 11, who both grew up with dogs and cats and are experienced and comfortable with both. Your pet will be the only one in our home, so they will get lots of attention, playtime, and snuggles! We have a big house that pets are free to explore and where they can make themselves at home. We also have an unfenced 3-acre backyard that connects to a path through the woods - your dog can enjoy a daily hike through the forest, smelling the many interesting smells and splashing in the creek if so desired. And we live on a cul-de-sac in a residential area perfect for safe neighborhood walks. If you are looking for someone who loves dogs and is responsible and loving to take care of your pups when you're not around, please reach out! Please note: 1. All dogs must be fully potty trained, neutered or spayed, vaccinated, and on flea and tick preventative. All pets must be comfortable with children. 2. Drop off time: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Pick up time: 7:30 am to 9:00 pm 3. Things to bring: a. Bed or blanket or crate, whichever your pet prefers. b. Food and treats, along with feeding instructions. “Susan has been absolutely fantastic as a dog walker! She is reliable, punctual, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dog immediately felt comfortable with her, which gave me great peace of mind. She always provides updates after walks and goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is happy and well cared for.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I can remember. From house sitting, to walking them, to even taking care of my own dog. I’ve worked with different breeds and ages, and I love them all! I stay at home mostly throughout the week, and I’ve been wanting to get out a couple of times, and this would be the perfect opportunity to take care of your dogs in walking, or dropping by to play! I live in an apartment complex, so I would have to go to where you are to walk/play with your dog, or I could take them to a dog park!

“Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of my cats this weekend. My cats tend to have accidents outside the litter box and occasionally vomit. But she did an amazing job letting me know if they did that and that she cleaned it up when they did. She also sent lots of pictures! I would highly recommend her! 😊”

“Pilar is awesome! She is great at communicating and left a very detailed report of her time with our puppy after each visit. She is also great at being patient with our puppy. We are definitely hoping to book with Pilar again!”

“Dymond took absolutely fantastic care of Justin. She is thorough, asks great questions, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I received a detailed Rover Card each day with the cutest pics, which put my mind at ease while leaving my kitty at home for a week. We will be rebooking the next time we are away and cannot recommend Dymond enough!”

Lingshan did a wonderful job taking care of our 19-year-old cat, which included administering oral medication twice a day. She was punctual, responsive to queries, and took all her responsibilities seriously. I highly recommend Lingshan for taking care of your pet!

Brooke has been a Godsend to me and my fur baby, Henry. I’ve used her for all my cat sitting needs recently because she is so thoughtful, communicative and responsible. My cat is quite shy and has warmed to her - I recommend any nervous cats to be in her care. She also helped me out last minute due to a family emergency. She was very flexible and responsive, cleaned out my fridge and even brought over litter to help when I ran out. She is my favourite cat sitter 🤍

Andrew was an excellent sitter for our two kitties while we were away. He sent us numerous photos and adhered strictly to their routine. It was evident that our kitties adored him and were delighted to see him in the pictures. We’re definitely planning to use Andrew again for our next trip away.🥰

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
