“Monika was FANTASTIC and took excellent care of my little guy. She went above and beyond by giving him a light wash around his face, due to his long hair getting slightly messy when he eats. She gave me regular updates and adorable photos of Biscuit during his stay with her and her family. He seemed very happy and upbeat when he first met her, and seemed to bond with her very quickly. I appreciated her making time to let me bring him over for an initial meet and greet, so he could get familiar with his temporary home away from. She was incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgable and had excellent response time. I will absolutely book with her again!”

“Katherine was super responsive and super sweet to my pup, Kobe. She also sent tons of updates and made Kobe feel right at home. I would 100% recommend Katherine!”

“Piero and his family did a wonderful job taking care of my two dogs. They were willing to accommodate my dogs’ feeding and potty habits, but I also trusted them to do what would work best and what fit with the household’s vibe while my dogs were their guests. Communication was great, and they sent photos and videos of the dogs’ stay. Would definitely use Piero for boarding or grooming again!”

“Tatiana was simply wonderful! Our pup truly thrived in her care and seemed so happy with her and her family. She sent us so many delightful pictures, which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. I’m so grateful for her kindness and attentiveness, and I will absolutely reach out to her again to care for our fur baby. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a loving and trustworthy person to look after their pets.ss, and I will absolutely reach out to her again to care for our fur baby. About: For over 20 years, I’ve devoted my life to caring for dogs with the same love and attention I give my own. As a professional groomer and lifelong animal lover, I’ve learned that every dog has its own personality, quirks, and needs—and that they all deserve a safe, happy place to call home while their families are away. At my home-based boarding, your pup isn’t just a guest—they’re family. With a cozy indoor space, a secure outdoor play yard, and plenty of cuddles in between, I make sure every tail wags with joy. Whether it’s playtime, rest time, or a little extra pampering, my goal is always to give them comfort, care, and peace of mind—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Pet care is my life and my passion. As a home-based groomer with 20+ years of experience, I combine professional skills with the comfort of a family environment. Dogs aren’t just clients—they’re guests in a loving home where every wagging tail is noticed, every need is met, and every pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. My home-based setup allows me to give personalized attention, cozy care, and consistent love that bigger facilities often can’t match. My home doubles as a haven for pups! I have a cozy basement workshop where I work, a special indoor play yard where puppies can romp safely, and a fenced outdoor yard for fresh-air fun. And of course, after work, it’s family time—they’re free to snuggle, play, and enjoy life with me beyond the yard.
“Chash, we can’t thank you enough for the attention and care you gave our pup this week! Tons of walks, play time and cuddles.. we couldn’t ask for anything more! We would HIGHLY recommend Chash to anyone that wants their fur baby to be well loved. We so appreciated all the daily updates and photos. And even sending our pup home with some sweet new treats, so thoughtful! Our dog Birdie can’t wait to stay with Chash again 💕”

“We couldn't be happier with Marylee! My lab had a great time at Marylee's place. During the two days when my dog stayed with Marylee, she kept us updated by frequently sharing my dog's pics and videos. I felt very comfortable having my dog staying with her the entire time, and I think my dog also felt very comfortable staying with her. Additionally, she kindly shared with me lots of information and dog training tips that were very helpful to me as a first-time dog owner.”

“Chris was amazing! It was clear in all of his photos and videos that our pups were well taken care of, and most importantly, felt safe with him. Our pups got a vacation while we did too! Will absolutely be using Chris whenever he is available. Thank you for taking such good care of them!!!”

“Jason went above and beyond taking care of our pup. We got daily updates and could thoroughly enjoy our time away knowing our dog was taken care of by someone we could trust to give him the best care. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. My whole family have them as family members. I adopted Colby, a mini poodle, 13 years ago and he recently passed on Mar 7, 2026 due to oral cancer one month before he turned 14 yr-old. I will board ONE NON-SHEDDING dog at a time so I can spend quality time with that dog ☺️ I would love help dog owners to walk, play, and love their dogs while they cannot and get some dog love for myself. I miss my dog tremendously so I am not ready to have another. Let me take care and play with your dogs and make them happy ☺️ I work full-time remotely. I can customize my schedule to fit your needs as long as I am given a notice to adjust (I set my work schedule a week in advanced every monday). I love taking a long walk when the weather permit. 😁 Whatever your dog accustomed to, I can adjust. I live in a one bedroom condo right now. I will provide a safe and loving environment for your dog.
“We left our two Beagles with Mindy for 3 nights, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they received. From the initial meet-and-greet, it was clear Mindy loves animals and knows how to handle energetic pups. She sent daily updates with photos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away—seeing our dogs happy, well-fed, walked made all the difference. Both dogs came home relaxed, and excited to see us, with no signs of stress. Thanks Mindy!”

About: I am currently only accepting hypoallergenic dogs for boarding and doggy daycare! These include but are not limited to: Bichon, Poodles (or any doodle), Yorkies, Maltese, and Schnauzer. I own two dogs, one is a young Miniature Goldendoodle that I have had since she was a couple of months old, and the other is a senior Toy Poodle that I have had since she was 5 years old. I have 10 years of experience caring for animals and always research how to best care for the animal in question. I have 2 years of experience with professional pet sitting. I am currently a student living at home, so I have plenty of time to care for pets, especially since I care for my own. I am available most of the week, every week. My yard is unfenced; however, we do have a chicken-wire fence in the backyard for my own dog, who has plenty of space to run around and play. We have lots of toys for your fur baby, and a kind and playful dog to keep your fur baby company. I can crate small dogs, but do not have large enough crates for large or medium dogs. If caring for your pet at your home, I can ensure your fur baby gets lots of playtime and walks.
“Sabina and her family have been great to Apollo! She took him on the adventures and made him happy. That definitely put a huge cheese on my face. I mean, he had so much fun with her family! She kept me updated with those photos while I was away. That’s wonderful because I wasn’t even worried too much about him with Sabina and her family. She took care of him well. He loved them since day one! Will definitely ask Sabina again in the future! She rocks!”

“Raghavi and her family were great. From the start, they made sure to get to know Archie and understand his needs, and Archie was very comfortable with the family as well as their dog, Simba. If you’re looking for a sitter who will love and care your pet like their own, I highly recommend Raghavi!”
“Carolina was fantastic with communicating updates and taking great care of Henry! He had a blast running around and playing with her dogs. Will definitely have him stay with her again in the future!”

“Andrea and Mike were wonderful sitter for Max. Max was really happy and looked really healthy. We were happy to find them and looked forward to see them again!”

“Right from the beginning, Leah was fantastic. She communicated with me very promptly and politely, and she was easy to connect with. She followed the instructions for our dog and took great care of him while we were gone with walks and love. She also sent lots of pictures and videos. When we picked our dog up I told Leah, next time we go out of town, I will definitely be calling her first!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Darnestown
We are so happy with Tanya’s care for our two dogs while we were away. Meeting her beforehand to go over the dogs’ routines and how they like to be cared for made us comfortable that this was a great match. Her updates with photos showed our dogs happy and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy our trip without worry. We had an unexpected event on our travels, and Tanya was so flexible to extend our dogs stay and her attention to detail making sure that our one dog would be ok without her daily medicine was very impressive and I know she would have done anything to help us out. Our dogs came home relaxed and calm. We highly recommend Tanya to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive care pet sitter who will treat your pets as their own for their stay.

James, Nicolette, and their children took excellent care of our nine month old Portuguese Water Dog puppy. Lizzy was treated as part of their loving family and had plenty of exercise and attention. My wife and I received constant updates and photos. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation in the future.

Andrii was really good with our cats and they looked incredibly peaceful in every picture he sent to us. He was also super responsive to any messages from us and even helped carry all of our cat gear in and out. We would definitely use Andrii again if he's available.

Sabina takes excellent care of our dog! She follows our instruction exactly and updates us daily with pictures. She also gives lots of attention and does lots of activities with Saska. He’s definitely very happy at her place! We would not hesitate to choose her again in the future!

Sure! Here’s a polished review you can use: --- We couldn’t be happier with Katrina as our dogsitter! She is incredibly communicative and keeps us updated every step of the way. It’s clear she has a lot of experience. Our dogs warmed up to her right away and are always relaxed and happy when we return. Being able to go on vacation with peace of mind, knowing our dogs are getting the absolute best care and attention, is priceless. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
