“She is my go to person always for our pup . On time communication , I never have to follow up on how my dog is doing and I know our pup is in safe hands :) 200% recommend her .”

“We had a wonderful experience with our Camilo. He was very communicative throughout the entire stay, sending regular updates and pictures that gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dog was well cared for, happy, and comfortable. We truly appreciated his reliability, attention, and kindness. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Once again Camilo, thank you!”

“My two French bulldogs made themselves right at home with Piero and his family. They treated my doggos with great care and attention. It was also a huge plus that someone was always home with my girls. Piero was great with sending pictures and keeping me updated. It was super easy and I will be using him again to watch my dogs. 100 percent recommend - a wonderful sitter!”

“Kallie didn't want to come home! She was pampered beyond a doggie spa vacation. Tracey, Kevin, and family took amazing care of our sweet puppy. I highly recommend them for attentive and loving care of your dog. They were so amazing that we already requested two more future bookings.”

“I can not say enough good things. Leaving my dog is always hard. Kasey completely but my mind at ease. I loved the daily updates and pictures. Kasey took excellent care of Penny. I will absolutely be booking with Kasey again.”

“I highly recommend Rosie and Lorenzo! My dog got lots of exercise and enjoyed having other small dog friends. They had no trouble with my (slightly unusual) feeding instructions and they sent ample pictures. My shy dog came back relaxed-not stressed. I will definitely book with them again.”

“My dog was well taken care of. I received multiple photos, videos and messages. House was well laid out for dog care including a fenced shaded yard. I would use Xiao again.”

“Lorenzo was a great overnight dog sitter for my 1 year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. He has two other small dogs so he had plenty companions, plus it was great price and communication was good.”

About: I’ve had my own dogs for 20 yrs. I’ve fostered abused dogs for 10 yrs. Dogs are my therapy, they bring me peace and I love spending my time with them. I have been a special education teacher in Montgomery county for over 25 yrs. I have evenings, weekends and holidays available to care for pets. I try to spend my time with animals because they bring me joy and peace amongst the chaos. I have one very large, playful 3 yr. Old Great Pyrenees. He loves making new friends and playing until he falls asleep. I live on an unfenced 40 acre farm. My dog has an e collar so visitors would need a long lead for outdoor walks. I can easily crate overnight but I let the dogs roam during the day with scheduled walks.
“This was my first time leaving Jack with someone else and Marco and Margaret made it sooo easy and comfortable!! I got daily photos and a video of him playing!! He had such a great time!! I am sure Jack will be visiting in the future!! Thank you guys soooo much!!”

“Frankie absolutely loves his time with Theresa!!! I love that she regularly shares action pics and checks in to let me know everything is okay. She is the very best!”

“Josh and Jennifer took care of our dog Daisy for 5 days and did great with communication and updating us daily with photos. She's an anxious dog and they made sure she was comfortable and stayed active. They were also very accommodating when our pick up schedule changed. Thank you!”

“This was our first time looking for dog sitter and we couldn’t be more happy to have found Lily! She is truly a dog whisperer and a blessing in disguise! We fell in love with Lily and her sweet dog Ted. It was Winston’s first time having a playmate and they bonded instantly. It was adorable to see their social interaction. Lily has the perfect home and back yard for Ted and Winston to play and run. When we left Winston for the first time, he didn’t even look back to say goodbye to us. Lily was so responsive when we reached out to her and she took the time each day to send a picture and a status on Winston. Lily gave us the peace of mind we needed while on our family vacation. When we brought Winston back home, he was super sad. We believe he misses Lily and Ted. We highly recommend Lily!!! She has a warm and natural way of welcoming you! You will love her and Ted!!!”

“Cooper enjoyed his time with Huan, her family, their dog and the daycare dog. She fussed over him and let me know of any concerns immediately. We also got daily pictures and videos. He came home exhausted.”

Evvery took such wonderful care of our furry spoiled boy, BooBoo! ❤️ From the moment we left, I knew he was in loving and capable hands. She kept us updated, gave him so much attention, and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says everything about the care he received. Thank you, Evvery, for your kindness, patience, and excellent care. We truly appreciate you and will definitely trust you with BooBoo again. Highly recommend!

Chash is incredibly caring and responsible. She was very responsive and sent many pictures and updates. It was obvious that she has a genuine love for dogs. She also did not need to be reminded to administer my dog’s medication. It was great to have the peace of mind that my dogs were safe and being loved on while I was out of town.
Anisa has watched my pup several times, and it’s been great every time! My dog can be skittish with new folks, especially because she’s deaf. Anisa worked with her and her quirks, and my dog loves staying with her! I never worry about Serena when she’s with Anisa. She sends regular updates and photos and worked with some of my schedule changes. Your furry friends are in great hands with Anisa!

My dog had a great experience and enjoyed spending time with the other lovely dogs. We received daily notifications like clockwork every evening which was highly appreciated. My daughter and I were able to travel for 10 days with assurance that our doggy was in the best of hands. Will definitely use Sophia every time moving forward for our doggy day care needs :)

Gail and Kris are amazing sitters. They kept me updated with Buddy & Poppy’s schedules with photos and videos that no other sitters have ever done. Poppy usually doesn’t eat well on the first day, which she did not do with Gail and Kris. I am so lucky to have found them and if l could, l would give them 10/10 for their care, professionalism, and ability to connect with my two…

Vanessa was terrific with our energetic little Berkly! She kept in touch daily with updates on how she was eating, getting along with other furry friends and staying active! We truly appreciated this and highly recommend Vanessa for your pet too! I will definitely use her services in the near future.

Lorenzo accepted my last minute request and my dog is in a good hand. Lorenzo took extra step to take care of my 16-year-old dog, who is sometimes poop inside when goes to a new environment. Lorenzo also communicated with videos and pictures on daily basis, to let us know how our dog is doing. Thank you! Lorenzo.

This was Leo’s first time staying with someone who wasn’t family and we couldn’t have been luckier to find Shen-Huan! Our fur baby can be a little needy and ended up requiring way more than we expected, but she handled everything like a champ. She kept us updated, took amazing care of him and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
