“Piero took great care of our two dogs during our two-week vacation! He provided photo and video updates and was flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Both dogs were happy and healthy at the end of their stay. We’d happily leave them with Piero again in the future!”

“Andrea and Michael were wonderful hosts for our two dogs! Our lab is a bit introverted but they made her feel right at home and both dogs were very happy in the photos they sent and when we came for pickup. We had a last minute adjustment on our drop off time and they were wonderfully accommodating. I’m so grateful that they took such good care of our sweet girls!”

“Robin was amazing! I received plenty of photos throughout my pups stay, and I loved that they got to play with the other pups. Robin is definitely a dog-whisperer! My pups loved her and I would definitely book with her again!”
“Monika was FANTASTIC and took excellent care of my little guy. She went above and beyond by giving him a light wash around his face, due to his long hair getting slightly messy when he eats. She gave me regular updates and adorable photos of Biscuit during his stay with her and her family. He seemed very happy and upbeat when he first met her, and seemed to bond with her very quickly. I appreciated her making time to let me bring him over for an initial meet and greet, so he could get familiar with his temporary home away from. She was incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgable and had excellent response time. I will absolutely book with her again!”

“Karen and her husband were great! I left our 3 week old kitten and was super nervous and she would send me updates of her throughout the day! She bottled fed and cleaned our little baby kitten!”

About: I am currently only accepting hypoallergenic dogs for boarding and doggy daycare! These include but are not limited to: Bichon, Poodles (or any doodle), Yorkies, Maltese, and Schnauzer. I own two dogs, one is a young Miniature Goldendoodle that I have had since she was a couple of months old, and the other is a senior Toy Poodle that I have had since she was 5 years old. I have 10 years of experience caring for animals and always research how to best care for the animal in question. I have 2 years of experience with professional pet sitting. I am currently a student living at home, so I have plenty of time to care for pets, especially since I care for my own. I am available most of the week, every week. My yard is unfenced; however, we do have a chicken-wire fence in the backyard for my own dog, who has plenty of space to run around and play. We have lots of toys for your fur baby, and a kind and playful dog to keep your fur baby company. I can crate small dogs, but do not have large enough crates for large or medium dogs. If caring for your pet at your home, I can ensure your fur baby gets lots of playtime and walks.
“John and Viona took great care of Chase. Gave him his meds and let him take it easy with their senior dog. We got photos and videos of our dog during our trip. And communication was a breeze. Would gladly recommend them.”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Thank you Marco & Margaret for the updates & photos of my pooch. I felt comfortable leaving him in your care. And thank you again for your patience with my delayed flight for pick up.”

“What’ a wonderful experience. Oreo had a great time and was treated like a prince. Not sure he wanted to come home!! :) really appreciated all the communication and care. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Peppa had a great time with Tatiana. We felt very comfortable leaving Peppa with Tatiana. She is patient, calm and loving. Her home reflects that as well. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter for their furry one!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Potomac
We are so happy with Tanya’s care for our two dogs while we were away. Meeting her beforehand to go over the dogs’ routines and how they like to be cared for made us comfortable that this was a great match. Her updates with photos showed our dogs happy and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy our trip without worry. We had an unexpected event on our travels, and Tanya was so flexible to extend our dogs stay and her attention to detail making sure that our one dog would be ok without her daily medicine was very impressive and I know she would have done anything to help us out. Our dogs came home relaxed and calm. We highly recommend Tanya to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive care pet sitter who will treat your pets as their own for their stay.

Ivan was incredible! He provided daily updates and pictures of Nalli which made us so happy to see how great she was doing. He also made sure she stayed inside during the very hot temps this past week in MD! We are so grateful and would absolutely recommend using him again.

Melissa was absolutely amazing with our Goldendoodle, Jasper. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves dogs, and that showed in every part of Jasper’s stay. She and her family treated Jasper with so much love, care, and attention that he truly felt like part of their family. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Jasper was happy, comfortable, and having a great time. When we picked him up, he looked so relaxed and happy. it honestly seemed like he wanted to stay there with them. That says everything about the kind of care Melissa provides. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of our boy, Jasper.

Tatyana was great as usual! This is our second time using her and she is now our exclusive sitter (assuming she's available!). Our dog, Archie was excited to see her and seemed to be right at home when we left. She always kept us informed of how Archie was doing and the activities they did together with pictures and texts. Archie looked very well taken care of! Highly recommend!!

My little bichon had a wonderful time in Peko’s house. He seemed to settle down with her family so quickly. She updated me frequently and very flexible with schedule. It is always so hard to find a right person when I leave my furry family behind. I think we found the right place now.
James, Nicolette, and their children took excellent care of our nine month old Portuguese Water Dog puppy. Lizzy was treated as part of their loving family and had plenty of exercise and attention. My wife and I received constant updates and photos. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation in the future.

We reached out to Brenda for a last minute trip but she was able to quickly arrange a meet and greet with us so we could proceed with the booking. The stay was almost a month long for Emma but looked like my girl got tons of hugs and love while under her care. Tons of photos and she was also responsive during Emma's stay.

Carolina and Ana were fantastic sitters and treated our dog as if she was their own. You can definitely tell they treated our dog with love, care and attention. We loved the constant updates and pictures, and felt comfortable knowing our fur baby was in good hands. We will definitely use Carolina again in the future.

Kathleen did an exceptional job watching Tyson. Communication was great. In every picture he looked at peace and happy. Kathleen exceeded my expectations. Tyson was so perfectly cared for. I will definitely be using her services again. I cannot recommend Kathleen enough.
Sabina takes excellent care of our dog! She follows our instruction exactly and updates us daily with pictures. She also gives lots of attention and does lots of activities with Saska. He’s definitely very happy at her place! We would not hesitate to choose her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
