“Thanks 🙏 so much!! You are lilos favorite person! You are so kind and you always treat lilo like family. You are my number one babysitter. You are not just a babysitter you are our friend. Until next time 🥰😊😊”

“Jill and her family made sure to keep our dog on his medication schedule and monitor his healing knee injury. It wasn’t an ideal time to go on vacation but Jill reassured me and explained to me that she had experience giving medication and that her home would be a safe environment. I came back to a happy dog that was moving better than when I had dropped him off.”

“Sammy’s first boarding with Kris and Gail went very well. They lovingly cared for her like she was part of their own family. They were dedicated in providing fun nature walks which my pup loved even when the weather was less than ideal. I know she can’t wait to see them again!”

“We had a great experience with Camilo. He is super friendly and my dog had a blast. My dog has some dietary restrictions and he fulfilled our needs. He sent pictures of my dog every couple hours which was very helpful. I honestly have no complaints and would definitely recommend booking with him as I will be too in the future.”

“Todd took great care of Sunny. He has a comfortable home and it was an exiting time for Sunny to meet new human friends and doggie friends. Todd made the effort to take Sunny on long walks in the park. I’m sure that made Sunny happy. I would highly recommend Todd as a sitter!”

“Wenyan was a super caretaker for my senior dog and accommodated his special needs with gentleness and compassion (at almost 12, he has trouble with stairs, loses his appetite when he boards, etc.) I recommend Wenyan and will book with her again!”

“Peko and the entire family were amazing to us. They were great with communication for the entirety of our dogs two week stay, and the concern they showed for both our dogs was very telling of their care. We definitely feel lucky that we were able to find such great sitters on our first go with Rover. To say that as a family we were nervous to leave our dogs behind for the first time would be an understatement, but we feel incredibly lucky and grateful for Peko and her care. We will definitely be reachibg out again for future needs!”

“Sean and Eve were fantastic sitters. They continually sent me pictures of Rocky and kept me up to date. They even went above and beyond and gave Rocky a bath when he got into something smelly. I appreciate the care and love they showed my dog, and would recommend them in a heartbeat.”

“Carolina was fantastic with communicating updates and taking great care of Henry! He had a blast running around and playing with her dogs. Will definitely have him stay with her again in the future!”

“Brandon and his whole family were taking great care of Amy, she got loads of cuddling and playing. We got photos regularly showing that she enjoyed her time there. And Amy had a great time with River (great dog company, a good girl). We will definitely book again!”

“We had a truly wonderful experience entrusting our 4-year-old cat, Mufasa, to Tatiana’s care. She provided thoughtful, attentive care and kept us updated with daily messages, which was incredibly reassuring. Knowing that Mufasa stayed comfortably at home, happily spending time with her beautiful cat Enzo, gave us great peace of mind. We highly recommend Tatiana to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter!”

“Kathy did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs, and they are a good bit of work! One dog is 14 months old, with never ending energy and curiosity. We adopted her 6 months ago, and she is working through anxiety. She was not anxious at all with Kathy! Kathy's granddaughter was with them for part of the week and we heard the two of them became fast friends and were inseparable. Our second dog is 13years old, much lower energy, a picky eater, has medicine that is a game to get her to take. Kathy was great with our old pup as well! She ate most meals, took all her medicine, and looked very content. Kathy sent pictures, videos and updates twice a day, so we knew how they were doing everyday. I highly recommend Kathy to take care of your pups and will ask Kathy to take care of our dogs if available the next time we are out of town.”

“Brenda took excellent care of my pups! We found her last minute before a trip and so glad we did. She sent daily pictures and updates, was thorough in learning about my dogs needs, and the pups had a great time with her. Would recommend her highly!”

“First boarding but hopefully won't be the last. Ann-Marie was great with the dogs, very careful and attentive. My shy pup warmed right up, which never happens. They came back happy and well cared for!”

“Max took wonderful care of our doggies and they will definitely stay with her again! She made them feel right at home and was really great helping each dog get comfortable in their own way. The dogs were happy and healthy when we picked them up. Wonderful place!”
“Thanks a million to Shiva for taking such good care of our baby. He is an anxious pup and shiva and her family were so patient with him. We received detailed updates with pictures that nearly teared us up as we have never seen our pup so calm and content with anyone else up until now. Our long weekend was extra special knowing he was in good hands. 14/10 recommend.”

Buddy had a great time with Wenyan and Purple as always! It’s so sweet to see how excited Buddy is to see Wenyan when we drop him off. He even came home with the cutest little bow tie this trip! So cute! Wenyan really takes care to the next level and we always feel comfortable with buddy staying with her!

Mellie is a wonderful, kind and caring person, she took excellent care of Murray. It was the first time Murray stayed with Mellie, and she texted me whenever she had questions about him; she communicates very quickly.. It's very comforting knowing that Murray was getting such loving care while I was away. Thank you Mellie and Murray will definitely come to visit again-

Dawn was wonderful with Ollie! She was so kind, attentive, and flexible, and I really appreciated all the pictures and videos she sent throughout his stay. It was clear that Ollie was happy and well cared for, and I could tell how much affection she showed him. I would definitely recommend Dawn and would happily have her watch Ollie again!

Sean and Eve and their family were so great looking after my dog. We had a meet and greet at their house to make sure it was a good match. Sean and Eve will only look after one dog at a time, and they don’t have any other pets. They watched my dog for a week and sent pictures and videos, as well as texts throughout his stay. They were very caring and I’d definitely recommend them!

Isabel was wonderful! She cared for our Golden Retriever, Daisy, for a week while we were out of town. She sent us daily updates and pictures, which gave us such peace of mind. She lives in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, and Daisy was very happy and well cared for. I would definitely book Isabel again!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience boarding our dog with Wendy. Our pup is a bit nervous, but Wendy’s care and approach put her and us at ease. Wendy communicated with us regularly, sending pictures and updates. When we picked our pup up, we could tell she was well taken care of and happy. This has not always been the case when we’ve boarded her. We have found our pet sitter!

We left our 6 yr old golden doodle with Jayendri for 4 days. She managed him very well specially his food as he is a picky eater. The best part of leaving my pup with Jayendri was that I got transparent updates about food and walks and even if the walk schedules were modified. This is something I have not seen with other sitters. Gibbs came back happy and I would love to leave him back again when we go on holidays.

Huan was the absolute BEST with our Chip. She was so loving, so attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure his needs were understood and he was safely cared for as a senior dog. She was extra attentive to his feeding needs and went above and beyond to ensure our picky eater ate well. Huan is very communicative and responsive. We already have Chip booked to see her again!

Nathalie is excellent! Highly Recommend! I booked her for the first time over the weekend and she exceeded all my expectations! Communication was fantastic from the very beginning — she’s super easy to talk to and replied to all my messages extremely quickly, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She sent lots of photos and updates every day, so I never felt out of the loop. It was clear she genuinely loves dogs and is very responsible. I’m already planning to book her again for our next trip. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative dog sitter, look no further — she’s fantastic! Thank you so much! 🐾
Monika was such a great sitter for our Bernese Mountain dog, Samson. Communicating with her was so easy, and it was clear that Samson was in very good and caring hands. I would highly recommend her and I'm sure Samson is looking forward to getting to spend time at her house in the future, and especially seeing the rest of her family again.

Tatyana was great as usual! This is our second time using her and she is now our exclusive sitter (assuming she's available!). Our dog, Archie was excited to see her and seemed to be right at home when we left. She always kept us informed of how Archie was doing and the activities they did together with pictures and texts. Archie looked very well taken care of! Highly recommend!!

My little bichon had a wonderful time in Peko’s house. He seemed to settle down with her family so quickly. She updated me frequently and very flexible with schedule. It is always so hard to find a right person when I leave my furry family behind. I think we found the right place now.
James, Nicolette, and their children took excellent care of our nine month old Portuguese Water Dog puppy. Lizzy was treated as part of their loving family and had plenty of exercise and attention. My wife and I received constant updates and photos. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
