About: Hi!! I’m Michele and I live in a townhouse community in North Potomac/Gaithersburg, adjacent to the Kentlands. I have owned rescue dogs for 30 years, and I have always chosen dogs that are “hard to adopt” due to having a traumatic history, having accompanying anxiety or other behavioral challenges, and/or being a wrongly stigmatized breed. All of my dogs have been mixed breeds — a Doberman mix, a Shepherd mix, a Rottweiler mix, a Pitbull mix, a Mini Pin mix, and a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. I have also been helping my daughter over the past two years with her growing petsitting business. I have spent much of my career as a consulting writer and communications specialist in the global health and international development field, and have mostly worked from home. Due to recent changes in the federal government, most U.S.-based professionals in this field lost employment in 2025, and I am taking the opportunity to branch into more entrepreneurial paths that speak to my other personal passions. I always make sure my dogs (and yours!) have plenty of exercise, water, and hugs! And of course food and any medications according to your exact instructions. When I walk dogs, I am conscious of allowing them to have ample time to sniff and explore, as this gives them the mental exercise they need and tires them out for good naps during the day. I also love to give dogs play time in fenced yard/areas with any balls/toys they enjoy. I am available for walks at any time of the day, as well as housesitting in your home (or my home if you prefer!) when you are away! I am also happy to care for cats and any other pets. When we're out walking, I pay special attention to the surroundings to watch out for other dogs that are off of their leashes roaming, bike riders etc... You can let me know if there are activities they especially enjoy...walks, playing catch, afternoon naps etc...and I'll take care of the rest. If your pet has some reactivity issues during walking or other activities, I'll keep an eye out for it so there are no problems. Many pets who visit are endlessly entertained by all of the action at the park directly across the street. They'll spend time sitting at the front window watching everything that passes by, There's no need for your pup to be crate or cage trained but it's fine if they are. One of the absolute great features here are the various ramps we have leading inside and outside for pets that are older or have mobility issues. I've had many dogs, cats and others at all different energy and age levels throughout my life including beagles, pitbulls, poodles, cats and many others. I'll care for yours the same as if they were my own, giving them the attention they deserve so they don't experience any anxiety. They'll be allowed to hang out pretty much all over the house, including sitting on the couch if you allow it. If your pup loves walks, parks, creeks, playing catch and fenced yards, this is the right place for them. I currently don’t have any pets of my own and I'd be happy to care for yours. I've had a few dogs just like this so I understand how to work with these situations. I always keep things safe as my first priority. If pets don't seem to get along that well, they can remain separated as necessary. There's plenty of room here and I make sure everything is dog proof, including making sure there's nothing they can get into on the counters or floors.( I know some dogs are like magicians and are very good at reaching things anywhere) If you have any questions or would like any other information please let me know anytime. About: I am currently only accepting hypoallergenic dogs for boarding and doggy daycare! These include but are not limited to: Bichon, Poodles (or any doodle), Yorkies, Maltese, and Schnauzer. I own two dogs, one is a young Miniature Goldendoodle that I have had since she was a couple of months old, and the other is a senior Toy Poodle that I have had since she was 5 years old. I have 10 years of experience caring for animals and always research how to best care for the animal in question. I have 2 years of experience with professional pet sitting. My yard is unfenced; however, we do have a chicken-wire fence in the backyard for my own dog, who has plenty of space to run around and play. We have lots of toys for your fur baby, and a kind and playful dog to keep your fur baby company. I can crate small dogs, but do not have large enough crates for large or medium dogs. If caring for your pet at your home, I can ensure your fur baby gets lots of playtime and walks.

About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life and, for the first time, find myself without any pets. I have an abundance of ear scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles just waiting for pets who are missing their people. My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules so are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. About: My first experience caring for pets began with my golden retriever, Max, who I got as a puppy when I was 9 years old. We had him for 10 amazing years until his passing in 2017. The following year, I began working at an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant, where I developed a genuine interest in veterinary care. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Having pets myself, my oldest dog being 11, I have experience in taking care of senior dogs but I also have a 3 y/o and have raised puppies myself so I am aware of everything that requires a young pup to a senior. I’m working part-time because of college so I would love to enjoy some more time with dogs!!! I am home almost everyday and don’t usually go out so I love being at home with my doggy’s! I have two friendly dogs, 1 a senior pup so he isn’t much involved and another 3 year old who loves meeting new friends and he needs friends to play with!! When I visit your home, I bring that same level of attentiveness—never rushed, always respectful of your cat’s pace and space. I also keep my bookings intentionally limited so each cat receives steady, thoughtful care. Whether your cat needs quiet companionship, playtime, or medication, I make sure every visit feels consistent and reassuring for both you and your cat. My primary service is caring for cats in their own home, where many feel safest and most relaxed. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding and medication to doors, windows, lights, and entry routines. Very lucky that we found Shahan - she replied right away and was able to take our buddy Jeb with only 2 hours of advance notice! Shoham has a large fenced in backyard, great for pups to get their exercise. She also provided walks and kept me updated on Jeb throughout the weekend. You can tell she is very good with dogs because Jeb was very relaxed when we arrived, and took the time to introduce him to the other dogs visiting to make sure everything was OK. We will definitely be using Shoham again for future doggie visits!”
