I have owned rescue dogs for 30 years, and I have always chosen dogs that are “hard to adopt” due to having a traumatic history, having accompanying anxiety or other behavioral challenges, and/or being a wrongly stigmatized breed. All of my dogs have been mixed breeds — a Doberman mix, a Shepherd mix, a Rottweiler mix, a Pitbull mix, a Mini Pin mix, and a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. I have also been helping my daughter over the past two years with her growing petsitting business. I have spent much of my career as a consulting writer and communications specialist in the global health and international development field, and have mostly worked from home. Due to recent changes in the federal government, most U.S.-based professionals in this field lost employment in 2025, and I am taking the opportunity to branch into more entrepreneurial paths that speak to my other personal passions. I always make sure my dogs (and yours!) have plenty of exercise, water, and hugs! And of course food and any medications according to your exact instructions. When I walk dogs, I am conscious of allowing them to have ample time to sniff and explore, as this gives them the mental exercise they need and tires them out for good naps during the day. I've had dogs, cats and other pets at all different energy levels throughout my entire life. I've always had a beagle, pitbull, poodle and others in my care. Your best buddy will be allowed to hang out all over the house, on the couch and furniture if they like and have someone with them at all times. If your dog loves walks, parks, creeks and fenced yards, this is the place for them! I don’t have any pets of my own at this time, and I’d love to care for yours in the meantime. Pets are allowed on all furniture (unless you say no!), they have a fully fenced yard to play in, a park right across the street to walk in, a creek to play in, and more right across the street! If your dog is uncomfortable around other dogs or people, i am able to walk them in non populated areas. One of my former dogs was also not a huge fan of people or other pets so I know how to work with these situations.

We have a single family home and large fully fenced in yard and love pet sitting all our neighbors' pets! About: I have taken care of dogs for a few years now and decided I want to help those in need of a dog sitter and some training. I’m a nurse and work 3 days a week and looking to dog sit or walk on my days off. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can switch my days around if needed. About: I have two dogs, although one lives with my ex currently. I have had them both since 2008 and having them has been nothing short of a blessing. Besides having my own, I have also frequently dogsitted for a friend, staying at his place and taking care of his two dogs. I have an acre of fenced in backyard, but have no problem leashing your dog if they could hop the fence. My dog is very friendly with other dogs his size, so he will be happy to play! Please be aware, we are not a 100% smoke-free household, however, we do keep smoking restricted to a single ventilated room that our pets (and yours) do not have access to.
