“Kathy did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs, and they are a good bit of work! One dog is 14 months old, with never ending energy and curiosity. We adopted her 6 months ago, and she is working through anxiety. She was not anxious at all with Kathy! Kathy's granddaughter was with them for part of the week and we heard the two of them became fast friends and were inseparable. Our second dog is 13years old, much lower energy, a picky eater, has medicine that is a game to get her to take. Kathy was great with our old pup as well! She ate most meals, took all her medicine, and looked very content. Kathy sent pictures, videos and updates twice a day, so we knew how they were doing everyday. I highly recommend Kathy to take care of your pups and will ask Kathy to take care of our dogs if available the next time we are out of town.”

I was a little nervous the first time because Millie is only about 20 pounds, and Koda is a big Husky, but, true to Nithya's profile, Koda is very well behaved. About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was young, and since her passing I have routinely dogsit for friends and family. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I took care of her in her old age, so I have some experience in dropping medicine on the floor and pretending it’s a delectable morsel so dogs devour it! I also have handled plenty of bark-happy dogs, and like to bring treats on all my walks to incentivize more calmer adventures. About: I’m a professional dog groomer and currently manage a grooming salon located inside a veterinary clinic. I’ve been working in the veterinary and pet-care world for about 3 years, and I absolutely love being surrounded by animals every day! Working with pets has been incredibly rewarding for me. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, making them feel safe and comfortable, and helping them live happy, healthy lives. When we're out walking, I pay special attention to the surroundings to watch out for other dogs that are off of their leashes roaming, bike riders etc... You can let me know if there are activities they especially enjoy...walks, playing catch, afternoon naps etc...and I'll take care of the rest. If your pet has some reactivity issues during walking or other activities, I'll keep an eye out for it so there are no problems. Many pets who visit are endlessly entertained by all of the action at the park directly across the street. They'll spend time sitting at the front window watching everything that passes by, There's no need for your pup to be crate or cage trained but it's fine if they are. One of the absolute great features here are the various ramps we have leading inside and outside for pets that are older or have mobility issues. I've had many dogs, cats and others at all different energy and age levels throughout my life including beagles, pitbulls, poodles, cats and many others. I'll care for yours the same as if they were my own, giving them the attention they deserve so they don't experience any anxiety. They'll be allowed to hang out pretty much all over the house, including sitting on the couch if you allow it. About: For Cat Sitting - I have two adorable cats of my own, Timon and Pumbaa and grew up with two, as well. I understand their perks and how a cat earns your love! Taking care of them is second nature to me and I know I could be a great help. I have more experience with indoor cats and understand they need playtime when their owners are away! For Dog Walking - I grew up with one of the craziest! Ringo was his name-o and he was part husky, border collie, maybe even part chow? A total mutt. I have recently taken care of neighbors dogs who range from French bulldog to German Shepherd. I love spending time outside with the pups and would love help expend their energy with a good walk! I am in the midst of a major career pivot. I used to work in television production in NYC for 17 years, became a teacher, and currently going back to school. I can absolutely fit daily and/or weekly walks into my routine. Mornings and evenings are not a problem. I have two cats of my own and they are super loved and taken care of! For the dog parents, I love them and I love a good walk!

About: Know that your dog is safe and comfortable on their walks in the hands of a qualified, positive reinforcement dog trainer! My reactive-inclusive walks can alleviate reactivity by preventing unwanted habits (barking, lunging, etc.) and encouraging calm behaviors on walks. These walks are great not only for reactive or fearful dogs, but also folks with puppies who want proper and positive socialization, or simply anyone who wants their dog to be in qualified hands. I am currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting at 11am. Last walk is at 2pm or 5pm depending on the day of the week. I'm happy to provide your pup with whatever they need in your home. I can play with them on leash, or off leash in your backyard. I can crate them or not, give them a Kong when I leave - whatever works for you and your pup!

“This is the second time I've used Nithya for my dog Millie. I was a little nervous the first time because Millie is only about 20 pounds, and Koda is a big Husky, but, true to Nithya's profile, Koda is very well behaved. Now there is also Snowy who is also very friendly. I think Millie and Snowy had fun together, and Koda made sure they were behaving themselves. Nithya was great at keeping me informed about how Millie was doing. Millie is a snuggler, and, thankfully Nithya let her snuggle as much as she wanted. Although Pepper, the male dog, is scared of everything due to his trauma of being a street dog in Oman, Pepper became comfortable with Todd in less than 10 minutes. Todd took our dogs for a walk to the park next to his house almost every day and our dogs were having a good time walking in the forest. Our dogs love to go out in the backyard.
