About: Hi!! I’m Michele and I live in a townhouse community in North Potomac/Gaithersburg, adjacent to the Kentlands. I have owned rescue dogs for 30 years, and I have always chosen dogs that are “hard to adopt” due to having a traumatic history, having accompanying anxiety or other behavioral challenges, and/or being a wrongly stigmatized breed. All of my dogs have been mixed breeds — a Doberman mix, a Shepherd mix, a Rottweiler mix, a Pitbull mix, a Mini Pin mix, and a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. I have also been helping my daughter over the past two years with her growing petsitting business. I have spent much of my career as a consulting writer and communications specialist in the global health and international development field, and have mostly worked from home. Due to recent changes in the federal government, most U.S.-based professionals in this field lost employment in 2025, and I am taking the opportunity to branch into more entrepreneurial paths that speak to my other personal passions. I always make sure my dogs (and yours!) have plenty of exercise, water, and hugs! And of course food and any medications according to your exact instructions. When I walk dogs, I am conscious of allowing them to have ample time to sniff and explore, as this gives them the mental exercise they need and tires them out for good naps during the day. I also love to give dogs play time in fenced yard/areas with any balls/toys they enjoy. I am available for walks at any time of the day, as well as housesitting in your home (or my home if you prefer!) when you are away! I am also happy to care for cats and any other pets. The work paths that I am building will all be mostly work-from-home. I will provide long and short walks, additional exercise in fenced areas, water, food, and medications! I am forever a dog-on-the-furniture/bed person but will happily respect your wishes if you prefer not to allow that. I will also provide crate training if desired! I currently do not have dogs living with me full time, but my daughter has two dogs and can bring them to my house anytime if you would like some social time built in.

About: I have a lifelong passion for dogs and have been surrounded by them for as long as I can remember. My most recent companion is an eight-year-old Basenji–Pit Bull mix that I adopted from a friend who was unable to care for the litter. I raised him from just three weeks old, nurturing him through sleepless nights and watching him grow into a happy, well-adjusted dog. I’m available for morning and evening walks Monday through Friday, and on weekends, I can offer morning, afternoon, and evening availability. I will care for your pets with the same attention and affection I give my own. I’m a dedicated, hardworking individual who treats dogs like family—because to me, they truly are our most loyal and loving friends. I work 8am-4pm but I’m up early in the morning. There’s always someone home so your dog will never be alone. I’m able to leave my job at any time in case of emergencies. I have a big yard with enough space to run if not comfortable being take out to parks. If your dog needs to be crated before being left alone I can do that as well. My home is smoke-free and super clean.

About: I’ve had at least 1 dog in the house since 2016, I love taking care of pets and being present with them. I love their unconditional love and would love to help as many as possible!🙏🏾 I’m currently a student at Stonehill College and we have scheduled breaks. For now, when I am home on breaks, my schedule is wide open. I have a pretty consistent unofficial routine of going on runs, lifting weights, and hanging out with my girlfriend Personally, I have one dog at home and when I get back I love to take him on long walks. I also just have a mental clock of refilling his food and water. Every other week or so we get him showered and cleaned up. I’ve also helped take care of other peoples pets stopping by and taking them on walks.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 16, helping my friend take care of their dog when they needed to go on vacation and whenever I would visit. Additionally, I’ve taken care of my sister’s dog for extended periods of time. I’m currently on winter break from college, so I’ll be here for about 3-4 more weeks. So for the time being, I should be available about every day except for Sunday. I have a fenced yard and large home. I can care for a pet in just about any place around my home at almost all times.

Currently working remotely so house sitting during the week is no problem. Can easily take dogs on pee breaks/shorter walks during the day and longer walks in the morning/evening. I take pride in my patience and empathy when working with pets. I’ve taken care of several puppies and work strongly on training during my care! I’m currently taking a gap year after graduating from college while I apply for nursing school! Luckily that means I have plenty of free time when I am not working my restaurant job. I have my own transportation and am looking for pet care jobs at least a few times a week! I am also available for overnight pet care! In my home, I have two dogs and one cat. I share responsibility of feeding them, taking them on walks, play time, and enforcing rules (such as no begging, no jumping, etc.).
