“Huey took such great care of my pupper Winky, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Winky can be super shy at first, so I always get nervous leaving him with someone new, but he got comfortable with Huey so quickly it was amazing! She has two super friendly dogs of her own(a little bichon and a corgi), and they got along so well with Winky which is awesome. She also sent me updates and photos during the stay and it looked like he was completely relaxed and having the best time. I also added on grooming during his stay, since she’s also a home based groomer and did such an amazing job(she told me she has 20 years of grooming experience!!) Winky came home looking so clean and adorable with the cutest haircut! You can really tell she has a ton of experience with dogs and genuinely cares about them. I’d absolutely book with Huey again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and caring for their pup!”

I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. About: I only found about my love for dogs when I decided to get a dog a few years ago. My experience includes raising a chow chow puppy into a member of dog society by individual and dog park playtime, walks outside, administering medication, and enforced chill time as necessary. “I cannot recommend Jessica enough! She was fantastic with our two older dogs! It was the first time we left them with someone other than a friend, so I was a bit concerned as to whether our little dog (who is very skittish) would warm up to Jessica. I was also concerned because our bigger dog has a lot of medical issues (including mobility problems). Jessica was phenomenal. She arranged some time to come by and meet them and us beforehand. She asked really detailed questions - which let me know she was tuned into their care. She gave great updates on her visits and sent photos, too. Her updates let me know how well she was getting to know their unique quirks and personalities. She kept in touch with everything that came up - and even suggested some things to make our bigger dog more comfortable. I was blown away by the care she gave to our girls! Her thoughtfulness erased my concerns about how the dogs were doing while we were gone. I was able to relax and have a worry-free trip. And our little dog was giving her kisses and greeting her at the door after only a couple of visits! If we travel again without the dogs, I wouldn't want anyone else to care for our girls.”

About: My house has been filled with pets since before I was born! My family has rescued dogs, cats and horses from shelters, bad homes, and the streets in order to give them loving forever-homes. I have a vehicle and am happy to drive within my listed range to walk or sit for you. I have a townhouse with a back yard and there is a dog park 4 minutes from my home. Depending on your pet and their needs, I may be able to host your dog at my home while you're away. In my home, pets' safety, comfort, and needs are always met. Preventative measures are taken to make sure no dangerous objects/ingestibles are laying around. Water is always available and food is given at the proper times. Playtime and walking are essential, but proper leash and collar/harness and baggies are always a must when outside! To me, dogs are the focus of a walk and should not just be closely watched to make sure they are safe, but should also be engaged with, praised, and loved throughout. Similarly, pet-sitting is an active role that requires my attention--lucky for me I also get to have a blast playing with and caring for your dog while sitting!

“It was our first time with Marylee and I loved the fact that she took the time to get to know us and Cosmo. I felt confident leaving him for three days with her. Marylee was super communicative while we were gone and sent us photos twice a day which I loved receiving. He had such a great time and was taken such good care that I wasn’t sure he would want to come back (lol!). Marylee was also very accommodating and flexible as there was an unexpected schedule change we needed to make right before our date. She was very quick to respond which also made me feel confident. Cosmo is our third baby (after two human babies) and we felt so good leaving him in her care. Looking forward to him having more future stays with Marylee. Cosmo had an absolute ball.
