“Poh Huey is absolutely amazing. She took great care of our dog Belle recently when we were out of town. She was responsive, courteous, and very professional. Huey was genuinely attentive to Belle, which was greatly appreciated. She provides video/photo updates. Her fenced backyard with artificial turf provides a safety and clean playground for dogs. Her two dogs are super friendly. Huey is the best!!”

“Sriju is an Angel! She was able to help us with last minute care for our Rosie bookending our trip (with my parents babysitting in between) and Rosie was simply obsessed with her. She got all the cuddles and plenty of exercise and I was thrilled knowing she was in such capable hands!”

“Marissa and her son were wonderful! They took us on as a last minute sit job and saved our weekend. She was so friendly and kind and laid back. Her energy is what I loved for my dog, because we are training for calm and chill and that’s what she came off as being. She was flexible and her dog got along great with my dog. I felt comfortable and at ease leaving our pup with her and this was our first time using a pet sitter. I highly recommend Marissa and if ever in town again will call her up.”

“Andrea is the perfect sitter! I appreciated her flexibility with drop off and pick up times and her very calm, personable and welcoming demeanor. Sarge loved being at her house and was already exploring the house by the time I left. Andrea made sure he had all the comforts of home and even got him to sleep in a dog bed that she provided. When I picked him up, he was very content and in no hurry to go home. I have already booked another stay, as I know Sarge will be in good care with Andrea.”

“Melissa was absolutely amazing with our Goldendoodle, Jasper. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves dogs, and that showed in every part of Jasper’s stay. She and her family treated Jasper with so much love, care, and attention that he truly felt like part of their family. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Jasper was happy, comfortable, and having a great time. When we picked him up, he looked so relaxed and happy. it honestly seemed like he wanted to stay there with them. That says everything about the kind of care Melissa provides. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of our boy, Jasper.”

“We are so grateful to Pam! She treated Mikko incredibly well. And he played with toys for one of the first times (he’s a rescue and an older dog so this was amazing). His food has multiple steps to it and she was very detail oriented regarding this. Thank you again Pam!! 💌”

“Good experience for our dogs. We received an update and photos every day! A great way to see what was happening. We could see one of our dogs snuggling and enjoying the big yard! The dogs got home in good moods.”

“Rong was fantastic! She communicated regularly and Ralphie came home happy. I can’t ask for much more than that! Her dog, Lucky, is also a sweetheart and made a good companion for my dog.”

About: I have been taking care of my personal dogs for over 20 years, since I was a child, I have always had a dog in my house. In the past 5 years, I am the go to person my family and friends go to when they are out of town and they need someone to care for their pet. I recently decided to go back to college to finish my degree, in the mean time, to earn some money I would like to do something with a flexible schedule and something I enjoy, which is taking care of pets! The way I would care for someone’s pet is with love and attention, that is something I would expect as a dog owner myself, I understand how important pets are and how important they are to a family. Prefer if dogs are crate trained, although they will be free to roam during the day I prefer they sleep on a crate since it is the only time of the day I cannot keep an eye on them to make sure they are safe. I work full time from home and am able to spend time with dogs! I am able to provide short-term and/or long-term walks twice a day when caring for your dog. I am able to handle both small and large breeds. I prefer if your dog is comfortable with other dogs as I own a Samoyed puppy. My dog is free to roam around my apartment but sleeps in a crate when it’s bedtime or when unsupervised. Also do take him out for potty breaks every 3-4 hours and goes on 1-2 long walks a day (45 mins to an hour). Can provide more potty breaks/walks to your dog as requested. I would prefer if your dog is crate trained so they can sleep in crate to make sure they are safe during the night. During the day they have full supervision to make sure they are safe! I know carrying a crate is not easy, I have additional crate for them to sleep in! My wife and I recently crate trained our 7 month old Samoyed puppy, we can help your dog as well 😊
“Joseph and his wife are amazing. My pup has the absolute best time staying with them and playing with Odin (who btw is the sweetest dog). When I drop Chewie off for a long stay, I know he will be well taken care of, and loved like he is at home. What more could you ask for?”

“Travis was great with our beagle! Atlas definitely came home spoiled! Travis sent pics and videos to show us how things were going. He was very responsive and the whole process was incredibly easy!”

“Gisela is sweet, friendly, and organized. Booking this vacation with her was easy and straightforward, and I will most definitely be a repeat customer! I never had to wonder how the dogs were doing - she sent pictures and updates each day which was such a nice touch and put me at ease. My dogs are far from "easy going" dogs but she handled their quirks like a champ! Highly recommended.”

“Only good things to say about Camilio. Every morning we got a photo; he went to a specific area to throw a ball to Konjo even when it rained. He was super communicative and does not take more than one dog at a time, so 100% of his focus is on a single dog. Very recommended.”

“Our puppy, Rocki, was absolutely well cared for by Josh & Andres H. They were so attentive, kept him safe and well entertained during his stay. We got lots of photos while on our vacation. This was Rocki's first overnight and I know he would love to stay with them again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Amanda watching our puppy for 9 days! She was incredibly kind, accommodating, reliable, and responsible. She took the time to ask about all of his routines and our instructions beforehand, followed everything to the letter, and kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos. She was also very flexible when we needed to adjust our pickup time. It’s clear she genuinely loves dogs, and we felt confident knowing our pup was in such caring hands. We would absolutely recommend her and will happily book with her again!”

“Andrea and Michael were wonderful hosts for our two dogs! Our lab is a bit introverted but they made her feel right at home and both dogs were very happy in the photos they sent and when we came for pickup. We had a last minute adjustment on our drop off time and they were wonderfully accommodating. I’m so grateful that they took such good care of our sweet girls!”
“Jeannie’s house is certainly my dog’s home away from home! She is so happy there, and it gives me great peace of mind knowing she is safe and loved while I am away.”

About: Let me first say thank you for considering me for the role of walking your little fur member! As a practicing vegetarian- I can tell you that my life is devoted to animal welfare. With me - your dog will be treated with the utmost care and attention. Furthermore - I’m extremely punctual and follow directions specifically . I communicate appropriately and effectively. I never call out and am always on time for any job I have. As far as experience - I have dealt with a variety of dogs since I was 12 years old. I currently am “dog dad” to a Yorkie and a Labrador. I have seen a range of behaviors and personalities over the years and am equipped to manage each dog’s unique personality. I’m 6”2- roughly 220lbs- so I can manage larger dogs comfortably. My lab is about 110lbs so I’m used to handling larger dogs. I also have a 9lb yorkie - so I can manage a wide range in sizes. Both of my dogs were rescued from really bad situations. I pay very close attention to the small things . If your dog is with me- he/she will never be in better hands. They will have fun and they will be well cared for. I currently am on leave from work due to a back issue - so walking and getting out is good for me. I love to walk and enjoy keeping ur pup safe and happy. I have two friendly dogs who are my world . They get tons of exercise - and 5 walks per day. They easily spend 3.5 hours outside per day- whether that be fetching or walking - to even just laying in the grass and people watching !

“Buster enjoyed his return visit to Theresa, and Theresa was (again) excellent with communication and making sure Buster was safe and cared for while I was away. Thank you, Theresa!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Redland
Sharon was our first dog sitter on Rover and we are so glad that we found her. She made us so comfortable with all of her communication, pictures and updates. We felt that our dog was in great hands and that she was loved and happy in our absence. We are looking forward to using Sharon again when we travel.

Copper spent 3.5 weeks with Lucy's family. Lucy was patient and calm. They took good care of him, including brushing his teeth, and they sent a lot of photos everyday. Copper missed them when we picked him up; he came back happy and well rested. We will definitely have them watch Copper in the future.

Wow, my boy, Paxton, hit the jackpot staying with Marissa and her family. Its hard handing off your boy to strangers. Within minutes of meeting them I knew it would be great and I was right. Marissa sent me daily updates including pictures. Paxton had tons of walks and play. He was treated like one of the family

First time using Rover and was a little nervous but Ashley treated Violet (my pup) like her own. Her and her family kept her entertained and sent me updates through her stay. Couldn’t be more satisfied with trusting Ashley with Violet. My pup was so worn out from the playtime she slept the entire car ride home. Definitely will be booking for her next stay. Thank you Ashley!

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Redland can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Redland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Redland.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
