“Marylee (and her husband) were amazing!! I pick Rover people based on if I would want to stay with them lol!! At the meet and greet she was very thorough with her questions about the cat and dog and making sure all their needs were met. It felt like she has an understanding about the types of issues that could arise and how to deal with them. Very organized. Very attentive, warm loving people. I was sent updates and photos throughout my time away. Her yard is crazy big and beautiful and fenced in. My dog LOVED it! She was able to accommodate my daughter’s cat at the same time last minute. I felt so secure knowing they were being well taken care of while I was gone. Cat had her little cat tower and pictures of the cat by the glass door able to look outside and see everything. I am done searching for Rover people… will definitely use Marylee again. Excellent!!”

“Sophia - thank you for taking great care of our dog Emmy while we were on vacation! Emmy always comes back healthy and happy. Sophia is great with dogs and I highly recommend her for boarding!”

“Asher and Olivia had a wonderful time with Jason! We really appreciated Jason's frequency of communication. This was our first time boarding our puppies and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Caden was great, buddy, my 9 year old border collie love him and I got updates regularly, he took great care on him and I will definitely be booking with him again. Highly recommend”

“Sharon is amazing. She took great care of our little hound girls. Our newest girl is quite shy and it was amazing how quickly she warmed up to Sharon — dogs must know great caregivers instinctively ;-) Communication was also excellent.”

About: For over 20 years, I’ve devoted my life to caring for dogs with the same love and attention I give my own. As a professional groomer and lifelong animal lover, I’ve learned that every dog has its own personality, quirks, and needs—and that they all deserve a safe, happy place to call home while their families are away. At my home-based boarding, your pup isn’t just a guest—they’re family. With a cozy indoor space, a secure outdoor play yard, and plenty of cuddles in between, I make sure every tail wags with joy. Whether it’s playtime, rest time, or a little extra pampering, my goal is always to give them comfort, care, and peace of mind—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Pet care is my life and my passion. As a home-based groomer with 20+ years of experience, I combine professional skills with the comfort of a family environment. Dogs aren’t just clients—they’re guests in a loving home where every wagging tail is noticed, every need is met, and every pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. My home-based setup allows me to give personalized attention, cozy care, and consistent love that bigger facilities often can’t match. My home doubles as a haven for pups! I have a cozy basement workshop where I work, a special indoor play yard where puppies can romp safely, and a fenced outdoor yard for fresh-air fun. And of course, after work, it’s family time—they’re free to snuggle, play, and enjoy life with me beyond the yard.
“My two French bulldogs made themselves right at home with Piero and his family. They treated my doggos with great care and attention. It was also a huge plus that someone was always home with my girls. Piero was great with sending pictures and keeping me updated. It was super easy and I will be using him again to watch my dogs. 100 percent recommend - a wonderful sitter!”

“Nithya took care of my Cinnamon for a few days, looks like she had a great time. There were a few other dogs staying with her so there were plenty of friends around to play with. She came home pretty tired from all the excitement, as she's used to being an only dog at home on the couch all day.”

“Thanks so much to Jared for watching Murphy during our weekend away! We received lots of updates and pics during the weekend showing the fun Murphy was having. We'll 100% request Jared again!”

“Another great "staycation" with Everry! Everry is absolutely the best person to leave your pups with, she's Kingsley's favorite person and he absolutely loves his time with her every stay :) thanks for everything again Everry!”
“Tanya and her whole family were absolutely wonderful with our dog, Pippa! She felt right at home from the moment she arrived, and they provided the best care possible. We loved receiving the photo updates Tanya sent—it was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable Pippa was while we were away. Thank you, Tanya, for creating such a kind and loving environment for our pup. We were able to truly relax and enjoy our trip knowing that Pippa was safe, happy, and so well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“Sammy’s first boarding with Kris and Gail went very well. They lovingly cared for her like she was part of their own family. They were dedicated in providing fun nature walks which my pup loved even when the weather was less than ideal. I know she can’t wait to see them again!”

“Pam was amazing with my pup! She sent regular updates, was very well prepared, and definitely gave lots of love to her throughout the stay. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a boarder!”

“Mindy did a great job communicating with us, especially since this was our first time leaving our dogs with her. Our flight was delayed and she was very understanding when we came a little late for pick up. Everyone looked happy when we picked them up!”

“Iwona was awesome! Our dog Naya hadn't stayed at a Rover with another dog but she became best buddies with their doggo. We loved all the picture updates and it really looked like she had an amazing time! We even ran into car troubles on our road trip and needed an extra night of sitting and Iwona was such a lifesaver. Definitely recommend! Thanks so much, Iwona!”

“My dog is very anxious which is why I moved her from a kennel to Ana. And she loves just being with people. Ana and her family gave me regular updates and pictures which set me at ease. They really loved her like we do. And she followed the routine which made it easy to transition her back to home. I will definitely use her again.”

“Shelley and her family were wonderful caretakers for our 7-year-old dog Ivy. Our kids were delighted to receive several photo updates each day, and Ivy enjoyed her daily walks and playtime. It was great to know she was in good hands while we were away.”

Ellie was such a lifesaver and was so great with Rhett. She kept him safe and happy and made sure to keep me updated! My dog is a bit anxious and usually takes time to recover from new situations, but he must have been pretty comfortable happy and relaxed with her because he slipped right back into routine with no fuss! Highly recommend for a smooth experience for you and your pet.

We booked Ren from Tennessee. We came to visit DC for July 4th. Constant 5 star reviews. A beautiful place for our dog to be hosted. We could not be happier. Great communication and a great vibe. Thank you so much. Dolly appreciates you and wouldn’t hesitate to come over again. 😁

We had Siva board with Jessica and her family, and words can’t describe how happy we were with his stay! We could tell Siva received all the love and attention he needed and more! Jessica will always be our #1 choice if we need to have boarding for Siva again and highly recommend her if you need someone to look after your pup!

Poh was amazing. I’ve used 3 other sitters through Rover and she was by far the best one. She has experience with dogs which made me very comfortable leaving my pup with her for 10 days. Very professional and responsive. Poh is dedicated to caring for the dogs in her care. I will definitely be using her again!

Buddy has stayed with Caden twice now, and both experiences have been fantastic. The fact that I’ve trusted him with Buddy more than once says everything. Caden is reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. Throughout each stay, he kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind. Buddy always comes home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, and it’s obvious he gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while he’s there. It’s hard to find someone you can trust with your pet, but Caden has earned that trust. If you’re looking for a Rover sitter who is responsible, kind, and treats your dog like family, I highly recommend booking with him. I’ll definitely continue using him whenever Buddy needs a place to stay.

Iwona was a fantastic sitter and I will definitely be using her again to watch our fur baby. She took such good care of our pup and gave us daily updates with pictures. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing our baby was given love and being taken care of. I highly recommend booking with Iwona!

Our dog Lex had a great time with Tessa while we were on vacation for a week. She took him on lots of walks, played ball with him, gave him cuddles, and provided the structure he needs. We got lots of updates, photos and videos. We will definitely book with Tessa again!!!!

Mary was absolutely fantastic with my dog. Reliable, communicative, professional, and clearly someone who genuinely cares about animals. I got regular updates, photos, and total peace of mind knowing my pup was in great hands. My dog came back happy, relaxed, and probably wondering why I can’t provide five-star service and belly rubs full time. Highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover walker!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
