“Piero took great care of our two dogs during our two-week vacation! He provided photo and video updates and was flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Both dogs were happy and healthy at the end of their stay. We’d happily leave them with Piero again in the future!”

“As always, Sophia took exceptional care of Dr. Frank N Furter. :) Pictures came to me every day of his stay and she communicated any questions promptly. Her house is clearly a place where my pup feels its a home away from home, and that's so important as someone who travels extensively for work! Thank you, Sophia!”

“FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! Highly recommend! We chose Sriju, in part, based on other excellent reviews...and she did not disappoint! From our first communications and introductory meeting before we left our 11mo Goldendoodle with her, Sriju was welcoming, gentle, extremely responsive, organized, completely accommodating, and loving. This was our first time leaving Benny with someone else (we were away six days) so we were already a bit on edge; Sriju put us at ease immediately. Everyday while we were gone Sriju sent texts and pictures (usually once in AM and once in PM). She took Benny on numerous walks throughout the day as well as to the dog park. She adjusted to his needs, not the other way around, and provided an atmosphere that made Benny completely comfortable, as evidenced by his affection toward her when it was time to pick him up upon our return. We highly recommend Sriju and can't thank her enough for making our Benny feel at home while we were away...and giving us the peace of mind we needed to truly enjoy our trip. THANK YOU, Sriju!”

About: For over 20 years, I’ve devoted my life to caring for dogs with the same love and attention I give my own. As a professional groomer and lifelong animal lover, I’ve learned that every dog has its own personality, quirks, and needs—and that they all deserve a safe, happy place to call home while their families are away. At my home-based boarding, your pup isn’t just a guest—they’re family. With a cozy indoor space, a secure outdoor play yard, and plenty of cuddles in between, I make sure every tail wags with joy. Whether it’s playtime, rest time, or a little extra pampering, my goal is always to give them comfort, care, and peace of mind—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Pet care is my life and my passion. As a home-based groomer with 20+ years of experience, I combine professional skills with the comfort of a family environment. Dogs aren’t just clients—they’re guests in a loving home where every wagging tail is noticed, every need is met, and every pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. My home-based setup allows me to give personalized attention, cozy care, and consistent love that bigger facilities often can’t match. My home doubles as a haven for pups! I have a cozy basement workshop where I work, a special indoor play yard where puppies can romp safely, and a fenced outdoor yard for fresh-air fun. And of course, after work, it’s family time—they’re free to snuggle, play, and enjoy life with me beyond the yard.
“Good experience for our dogs. We received an update and photos every day! A great way to see what was happening. We could see one of our dogs snuggling and enjoying the big yard! The dogs got home in good moods.”

“Our dog Bonnie stayed with Theresa for 10 days. She is amazing! I didn’t worry about Bonnie for a second. Theresa was communicative, sent photos, and took great care of our girl. Highly recommend!!”

“Rong was fantastic! She communicated regularly and Ralphie came home happy. I can’t ask for much more than that! Her dog, Lucky, is also a sweetheart and made a good companion for my dog.”

“Carlos and his partner were so patient. Zero had a fresh injury and was very trepidatious at the beginning of her stay. They were so gracious and patient with her and she was getting belly rubs every night by the end. Stellar sitters!!”

“Our third time boarding with Sharon, and our pup got great, responsive care as usual! Freeda settles in quick and gets plenty of exercise and love. Sharon is very responsive, keeps us updated each day with pictures, and coordinates her schedule to check in on Freeda even during her in-office days. We had some travel issues and schedule delays, and Sharon was incredibly flexible. We highly recommend Sharon and will continue using her as our first choice for Freeda's care when we're out of town!”

“Ashley kept me updated on my dog by texting me and also sending pictures. It was nice to know that she was doing well and that someone enjoyed having my dog around and was taking good care of her while I was gone”

“Chris was great with Moose for in-house stay! He anticipated us at drop-off and pick-up, was open to providing personal reference before booking, followed directions well, and sent several video updates daily. His house has a large fenced yard that Moose enjoyed. Moose was walked several times per day and clearly had a relaxing vacation with Chris. Would book again!”

“Joseph and his wife took amazing care of Kashmere over night. They sent updates through out the entire day/ night with pictures and videos to make sure we knew he was doing ok. Also kept him on schedule for us so there were no issues for us when we got him back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Another great stay for Kingsley at his favorite place on earth! Evvery takes such great care of Kingsley and it's always a joy to know he's being loved while we're away :)”
“John was fantastic, and I definitely plan to use him next time I go away! He was super-professional (yet very friendly), sent me lots of pictures, and I could tell my dog Venus was happy as a clam while she was staying with John. I can't say enough about how great John was.”
“Jason is amazing as always! We had a last minute request and he was very accommodating. This time our pup stayed with him and Jason was absolutely fantastic. Jason kept us updated with regular messages and photos, and it was clear our furry companion was comfortable and well cared for. Pickup/drop-off was smooth, communication was quick, and our pup came home happy and relaxed. We’ll definitely be booking with Jason again, and I’d recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and professional sitter.”

“Brianne was amazing with my cat Goose. She kept me updated and followed his feeding instructions perfectly. She played with him and kept him company and he was a happy boy when I got home. Couldn’t ask for better.”

“Cathy did a really great job watching our sweet older kitties. One of our cats needs oral medication twice daily and she was able to accommodate this without any issues. Our shy boy even warmed up to her quickly. I felt very comfortable with our cats in her care and it allowed for a very relaxed week away.”

“Cecilia was great ! very responsive and committed, she genuinely cared about taking good care of our cat, and my shy cat warmed up to her. Would definitely recommend and book her services again when needed.”

“William and Andrea were amazing. They took great care of our cat and birds. We were skeptical about how our shy cat, Melanie, would handle a stranger. She typically doesn't trust anyone but our family, and we thought she'd just hide the whole time. Our hope was that she would at least get fresh food and water daily. We were pleasantly surprised. Melanie didn't hide at all; instead she greeted William and Andrea at the door. She even purred while getting her daily brushing! William and Andrea sent daily pictures, which showed us how happy our pets were with them—and that made us happy, too. Our birds were also treated very well. William and Andrea sent us daily pictures of how the birds were cleaned, fed, and tended to, which gave us peace of mind all around. While we were out of town, we felt completely comfortable knowing our pets were in great hands.”

“Katelyn has watched both our dog and cat several times. She is super reliable and friendly and I know my pets are in great hands! I would recommend Katelyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

About: While I don't own a dog, I have been around them all my life, and have never know i dog I didn't love, or didn't love me. Rover has opened doors for me to meet and relate to new people and pets. I am a supervisor at my job and i also am in school as a grad student, so i take responsibility very seriously. As a dog sitter, I view this as an oppurtunity to connect with different people and of course animals. Also, forcing me to get outside and be more active! I would like to be able to walk your dog, complete check ins, and house sit. Unfortunatley, as much as I would like to, I cannot dog board with my current living status. My schedule is very tight, so I do have to limit myself to the number of clients I take on. The more time advance a booking is offered, the more I will be able to adjust my schedule to meet those requirements. I care to the standards of the pet owners, and frequently send pics an updates as well as I ask questions when necessary. I also do my best to go above and beyond when i can!

“Dymond took absolutely fantastic care of Justin. She is thorough, asks great questions, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I received a detailed Rover Card each day with the cutest pics, which put my mind at ease while leaving my kitty at home for a week. We will be rebooking the next time we are away and cannot recommend Dymond enough!”

“Teresa did a fantastic job checking in on our cats! She was available for a last-minute holiday booking, was super patient with our shy cat, and we felt safe and comfortable having her stop by our home.”

“Ruohan was an excellent cat sitter to my cat Max while I was away for the holiday. She was always on time and took lots of pictures and gave me an update of each visit. I hope she is available the next time we go out of town as well! Thanks again Ruohan!”

“Huey took such great care of my pupper Winky, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Winky can be super shy at first, so I always get nervous leaving him with someone new, but he got comfortable with Huey so quickly it was amazing! She has two super friendly dogs of her own(a little bichon and a corgi), and they got along so well with Winky which is awesome. She also sent me updates and photos during the stay and it looked like he was completely relaxed and having the best time. I also added on grooming during his stay, since she’s also a home based groomer and did such an amazing job(she told me she has 20 years of grooming experience!!) Winky came home looking so clean and adorable with the cutest haircut! You can really tell she has a ton of experience with dogs and genuinely cares about them. I’d absolutely book with Huey again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and caring for their pup!”

“Krista and Roger are our wonderful neighbors, and we recently started using them for occasional daycare for our dog, Grover. Grover loves spending time with Shyloh and their whole family. Krista’s incredibly responsive to my requests and any questions I have. We know Grover’s safe and loved when he visits Krista and Roger’s home!”

I have more than 5 years of experience in pet grooming services, and I also have basic obedience training dog skills I work part time as a dog/cat groomer from monday to friday so basically i have the rest of my time to take care of your lovely friend and also my wife is a pet groomer too but she stay at home with my kids i have a fenced back yard for your pups for pee and poo. they can stay free inside the house unless you want them to be in his/her crate

“Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. I would absolutely be comfortable leaving Rudy with Shadid again and am so grateful that I found her. If you love your dog and don’t know which sitter will be best, contact Shadid!! Your dog will have the best day and you’ll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. I’m in medical school and was taking an exam during Rudy’s stay, so it was important to me that the sitter be professional. Shadid was perfect. She responds quickly and is completely reliable. I strongly recommend her!”

“This was our first time dropping off our dog for daycare with Iwona. While he can be very anxious in new environments, we were thrilled he did very well under her care. We received numerous pics of our dog during the day, showing how he was settling in nicely at her home and with her own dog. Iwona has been very quick to respond with every communication, and we were very pleased with our dog's care.”

About: Are you a dog parent who’s worried whether your sitter will treat your dog as family AND actually provide them with individual care and attention instead of just being one of MANY dogs staying within the home? I know this experience first hand as I also worry about my dog’s safety especially when a sitter’s home has several dogs, which pretty much mimics a boarding facility. This defeats the purpose to me of my dog staying in a home, so as a dog sitter myself, I aim to do just the opposite. _______________________________________ Hi! My name is Dianne, and I am a long-time foster dog mom and have a foster fail of my own. I have been fostering since 2017 and have successful adopted out 11 dogs through Fetch WI rescue and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in DC. •• MY CARE APPROACH •• I aim to always provide high-quality and safe care by hosting AT MOST 2 dogs at a time (in addition to my resident dog, Kona). This is especially important to us as we know how crowded boarding facilities can be (AND sometimes sitters’ homes) and the stress this can cause on dogs. My goal is to be able to provide constant and undivided attention to your pup while in my home. I also require meet & greets before booking to ensure your dog is comfortable with mine. After booking, I still ensure that all dogs get properly introduced to each other (first outside on a leash, then through a gate barrier, and finally without barriers). As an experienced foster parent, safety will always be my top priority. You can expect to get an immediate update to how your pup is settling in after drop off and daily after that. You won’t have to wait around for updates. Leaving your baby is also stressful, and I hope to alleviate some of that stress with constant, reliable communication (I know I expect the same with my Kona 🙂) My husband, Jake, and I work from home and would love the opportunity to provide individualized care for your pup. ———— ———— ———— ———— —— Since I do not have a backyard, I provide several walks throughout the day for daycare and boarding dogs as well as providing dedicated play time either in the house or in an unfenced grassy area behind our house using long rope leads to allow the freedom for dogs to run around (if requested). I make sure to account for each dog’s needs whether they need a lot of activity and stimulation or if they would just prefer to hang around the house and nap. I hope I get to meet your pup! I currently work from home and have a ton of flexibility to step away from my computer as needed. My husband works a hybrid schedule and will be home some days. I have a mellow 5 year old resident dog who loves to play if your pup is interested. Otherwise she pretty much minds her own business. She is a St. Bernard and Blackmouth cur mix who is very gentle and has had a lot of exposure to dogs of varying temperaments through fostering. She can’t wait to meet you pup!

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. My goal with Rover is just to continue to do what I love to do. Animals in General have always been my life since i was a little girl and I cannot see me doing anything other than working with animals. Thank you for taking the time out to get to know me and I hope to see you soon! I am a sitter so what you says go! I will follow your dogs needs from morning to night so everyone is comfortable and to prevent accidents Your pet will be treated as part of the family in my home. “Huan was such great help taking care of my dog for 3 days. She was very communicative about his day and always sending me pics and videos of his day. Will totally recommend her as a pet sitter and I am sure we will be coming back again :).”

“First off, I’m afraid to say how amazing Ildiko is out of fear of her becoming sooo popular that we won’t be able to keep her as a dog sitter for our little fur baby. But, we like her so much, as does our little one, that we need to let others know what a kind, loving, caring, compassionate and thoughtful sitter. Our little pup literally tries to jump out of the car when we arrive. Ildiko has a little kitty who also makes out pups stays exciting as they get to know each other. Ildiko tracks our pups walks, potty breaks and takes photos showing how much fun our pup has staying with Ildiko. We have no worries or concerns our pup won’t be well cared for when we drop her off for a stay. We highly recommend Ildiko (but back off as we got her locked in!), and if your lucky to schedule with her, you won’t be disappointed.”

“I called Ekaterina when my regular dog sitter was not available. She quickly set up a meet and greet and was able to accommodate our schedule. She and Cenk live with two sweet and bouncy dogs. It didn't take too long for the dogs to accept Loki, and they all got plenty of exercise chasing each other around. They also went for walks to a local park several times a day. I asked for a photo, which Ekaterina sent each day. Although Ekaterina would have fed Loki with their food, I brought Loki's diet which they had no trouble following. Ekaterina and Cenk are obviously dog lovers, as am I. A shy or retiring dog may have a different experience than Loki did. To be fair, I don't have enough experience seeing Ekaterina with all different kinds of dogs to know for certain. Both Ekaterina and Cenk are clearly good people. I would use them again.”
“Molly and Joe are great! I feel really comfortable leaving my Lexie with them. Granma Is at home as well and they really enjoy Lexie's company. She enjoys walls and cuddle time and play time. They keep me posted with some pictures during the day and that makes me relax at work. Molly, Joe and Gramma thank you for helping me with Lexie.”

“Very nice. But keep in mind she may not be able to manage a bigger and energetic dog. My dog was too excited. I work until late at night and dont have time to go to sitter so I settled for a daycare day instead of overnight.”

“My husband and I am so grateful to have found such an amazing doggy daycare and sitter for our Ace! Sophia has been so pleasant and so helpful to our family with our dog. We trust Sophia 100%. She genuinely cares and very knowledgeable about dogs. She has gotten to learn and know our Ace very well. She has provided excellent care, keeps him safe, entertained, and comfortable. I think Ace looks forward to seeing Sophia every Wednesday because he runs right out my arms into hers every time he is dropped off. I highly recommend her and Ace will be attending daycare with her for a while.”

About: I’ve had two dogs, and currently have one at home. I have trained both of these puppies, and with new pets I am not afraid to ask questions or accommodate to your pets’ needs. I am a full-time student, but I am looking for hobbies. I currently live at home so I have a flexible schedule. I already walk my own dog, so getting some more exercise in never hurts. I’d prefer to meet the pets beforehand so that they are comfortable with me. I want to let dogs get the most stimulation out of their walk by letting them sniff a lot.

“Katelyn has been walking our dog Buddy for about a week now, and every day has been a breeze. She is always right on time, and it only took one walk for Buddy to grow completely attached to her! Getting a regular schedule set up with Katelyn was a breeze; not to mention a huge relief for us, as it meant we could get back on a normal schedule of our own.”

“Ruohan is amazing. She accomodated our request in such a short notice. She is prompt, reliable and pays attention to details. It is very comforting to know that George is in good hands. We will definitely rebook again. Thanks so much Ruohan for all your help and patience with George. ❤️”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. I’ve previously provided cats and dogs care with a company called Pet Nanny and was certified through Pet Sitters International. I especially enjoy walking small and medium-sized dogs and always make sure each walk is filled with patience, attention, and lots of love. After my job ended in September due to a reduction in force, I decided to follow my heart and focus on animal care full time, beginning with dog walking from 11am-10pm. I also except dogs day care. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I walk with full attention to my surroundings and to what your dog needs in the moment. We take our time so they can do their business, enjoy plenty of sniffing and “reading messages,” stretch their legs, and truly enjoy the walk before heading home. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and will always keep you updated about anything special, unusual, or urgent that comes up.
“I have been extremely satisfied with the dog walking services provided by Cornell over the past months. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional reliability, arriving punctually for every scheduled walk and maintaining clear communication throughout our arrangement. His genuine care for my dogs has been evident in the detailed updates and photos he shared after each outing, ensuring they received attentive, safe, and engaging exercise. I highly recommend his professional and trustworthy services to any pet owner seeking a dependable dog walker.”

“Teresa was very good with our little yapping dog! Our little girl barks at everyone and everything. She was very good with her. She was also very flexible when our trip went awry and we needed her for longer.”

“Hired Brittany to walk/play with Mason during the workday (60 minutes). He had a blast and was relaxed and tired when he came back. Brittany was timely and efficient and sent pics/update when finished. Will be hiring Brittany again.”

“Ben is always amazing. I have been using his boarding service and always had a great experience. This is the first time I traveled for 2 weeks and needed his help to walk my dog during that time. I cant say thank you enough for how much he loves and cares for my dog. He is a truely dog lover, very reliable. Chelsea remembered Ben right away and was so happy when he came to walk Chelsea.”

About: I’ve always been a neighborhood helper since I’ve been a kid. As someone with their own two dogs I understand how stressful it can be with trying to get your dogs outside enough for them to be content while balancing your own personal life. I am happy to not just walk and cater to your dog, but make their life thrilling and exciting! As a senior who’s graduated high school, with my old internship and sports out the way, my schedule has been super free and taking care of pets gives me the opportunity to get some exercise while getting spending money. I am very gentle and patient with my animals, I am also someone who is very attentive to body language. I will be able to recognize when a dog is in distress or ready to go home, or wants to play some more!

“Another wonderful stay for Raven! From booking to pick-up, Candice and Ross were super responsive and flexible. We loved getting candid photos of Raven living her best life on daily walks, relaxing on the couch. Highly recommend!”

“My dog was so excited to see Mina again ahead of her second stay! She loves her! Mina sends thorough updates and pictures each day and took wonderful care of my dog for a week. Will absolutely use her again in the future for any needs.”

“Carolina was awesome with our pup! She made us feel comfortable leaving our dog with her. She kept us updated with pictures and videos. It was clear she treated our dog as one of her own.”

“Carrie is a wonderful dog sitter, responsive, warm and welcoming! She made sure to learn about our dog's routine, kept us updated with pictures and was flexible with drop-off and pick-up! Our dog Juno had a great time at her house and returned happy and tired. I can only recommend Carrie!”

“Andrea is the perfect sitter! I appreciated her flexibility with drop off and pick up times and her very calm, personable and welcoming demeanor. Sarge loved being at her house and was already exploring the house by the time I left. Andrea made sure he had all the comforts of home and even got him to sleep in a dog bed that she provided. When I picked him up, he was very content and in no hurry to go home. I have already booked another stay, as I know Sarge will be in good care with Andrea.”

“Moose was in good hands with Jared. Lots of photos throughout his stay, having plenty of fun exploring and making friends. I felt good leaving him in his care while we were away and he came home happy .”

“We had a wonderful experience with Josh and Andres. We came to the Silver Spring area from New York City to attend the funeral of a beloved family member, bringing with us our dog Hobbs who had never been in a doggie day care setting. We were extremely fortunate to find Josh and Andres who agreed to take care of Hobbs while we attended the funeral, even without the usual "meet and greet," given our unusual circumstances. Hobbs was greeted by Josh, who immediately put Hobbs, my husband and me, at ease. We warned Josh that Hobbs would "yodel" in distress when we left. Josh assured us that he would distract Hobbs. Off they went on a walk, no separation anxiety expressed by Hobbs. While we were at the funeral, Josh periodically texted photos of Hobbs playing with his new doggie friends to reassure us that our "fur baby" was in safe hands and enjoying himself. I would highly recommend Josh and Andres to any and everyone who wants an excellent, safe, secure and happy day care or boarding situation for their dog. I wouldn't hesitate to bring Hobbs to Josh and Andres again when we are in the Silver Spring area. And on the basis of this excellent experience, I would use "Rover" again in other locations.”
