“Jason was great! He took care of our animals while we were out of town. Quickly responded to texts, and sent photos of our animals when he was with them. Greatly appreciated Jason’s high quality service!”

About: Hello! My name is Brett! I’m new to Rover but have been caring for dogs for over six years. Whether your pet needs a high-energy walk to burn off steam, or gentle drop-in visits with medication administration and playtime, I’m here to help. I'm very reliable, detail-oriented, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I work part-time and at my own schedule, so your pet's needs can fit into my schedule no matter the time of day. I take same-day appointments and am more than happy to drop-in on your pup any time after 6:00 AM daily. I'm also available for overnight pet-sitting. I have one dog at home and take her for walks multiple times a day around Rockville. We also have a small fenced backyard for sniffing and less energy-intense outdoor time. I'm comfortable crating dogs and reinforcing training behaviors.
“Anton has been walking our Pittie, Mihoshi, for months, and he is an excellent walker!! He’s very attentive to our pup’s behavior and communicates thoroughly. If we ever need to make adjustments, he is flexible. If he has upcoming plans, he informs us weeks in advance so we can work out the schedule together. I couldn’t recommend him more if you’re looking for a walker or sitter for your furry friend. :)”

“My partner and I are grateful for India! She was able to help us in a last minute situation which we were already nervous about because we have a rescue pup who needs strict routine but also kindness and patience. She seems to really love pets and would definitely consider her again for future walks.”

“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

About: I have been taking care of my husband’s family’s 3 cats for over five years now. They have made me fall in love them. We finally took the plunge in two years ago and adopted our own fur baby, a little tuxedo cat named Winnie! I also volunteer at the local animal shelter, providing love comfort and help to animals looking for their new forever homes. I love playing with dogs and taking them on nice long walks! Please note, I am not taking on recurring services at the moment. I would be happy to take a dog on a nice exercise walk at the end of the day, potentially with some toys to play with too! I would love to sit with your cat and give it some nice brushes and mice to chase. On Rover, I have taken care of cats, dogs, a bird and a horse. I am really open to any furry friend that needs some company! Your pet is my pet. I ensure the safety and security of your pet as if it is my own. Feel free to share other information that makes you feel most comfortable🙂
“Krystian was super at walking my two dogs while I was battling sciatica. He arrived on time, expressed concern for my condition and paid close attention to each of the dogs. He was very friendly and easy to work with. I will definitely call on him again.”
About: I have always loved being around dogs and being able to make sure their needs are met completely. Although I have only owned one dog I have been around different dogs from a young age. I trained my own dog as a puppy but I have family who have owned pit bulls, cane corsos, husky’s, etc. Animals and dogs have become a passion of mine and making sure they are living the best life they possibly can. I’m currently a bio major college student with completely open weekend times along with some weekday times. Tuesdays after 2:30 pm, Thursdays between 7 am to 10 am and after 2:30 PM, and Fridays starting at 11 AM. I understand the responsibility of the job and meeting your pets needs along with keeping them safe will always be the top priority. I also understand how hard it is to trust someone with your pet so I will also take pictures and videos to help making you feel comfortable while your away. Throughout my time I will make sure the pets feel as safe as possible and make sure they are getting the proper attention, care, and supervision.
About: I’ve had my own pets in the past(and only don’t have one now because of apartment restrictions) and I love all sorts of pets! It brings me serotonin to be with my furry friends! I’ve pet sat for my neighbors, friends, and family members! I will be working full time later this year and wanted to try out this fun side hustle to make extra cash and bring my serotonin levels up! My house has a big yard area! There’s a couple of parks nearby that are also perfect and I have a variety of pet snacks and toys!
“Calvin was always on time. Had water ready for my dog. Walked for the length of the dog walk. And was able to manage my dog through some of her issues -- deer, loud vehicles... I highly recommend him as a dog walker.”

About: I have over 20 years of experience taking care of my own, friends, family and others animals. I am well versed with dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and hamsters to name a few. Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to provide consistent care, attention, walks, playtime, and companionship while keeping pets comfortable and on their regular schedule. I enjoy making pet care a rewarding part of my day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for. I give each pet plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and individualized care while maintaining their normal routines as much as possible. My goal is to make every pet feel right at home while their owners are away.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I grew up with two dogs, two cats, and a bird. I have many years experience pet sitting as well as grooming and a bit of training. I work from home, so I am able to keep a constant eye on your pets (: I’m also able to take your pets for long, frequent walks, and take them to a nearby park if that’s something you’re comfortable with! I work from home, and I love going out for walks. Depending on you and your let’s needs, I can take them out as frequent as you’d like. I also have a dog park right next to my complex that I love to go visit. I live in an apartment, but the complex is gated and fenced in around the courtyard and pet grooming station. The complex itself is very safe- no one can enter without a key fob.
“Denisse is very kind and responsible!! She visited my house mid-day for several days to take my two dogs for a walk and let them play in the yard while I had long days out of the house. Everything with the booking went as planned and the pictures were great!! I highly recommend Denisse for your pet sitting needs!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rossmoor
She truly saved the day! We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, and she was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the whole situation. She took amazing care of Bella, followed all of our instructions, and made a stressful day so much easier. We’re so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Parisa is incredibly reliable, always on time, and goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is not only exercised but also happy and comfortable. I really appreciate the updates, photos, and little notes after each walk—it gives me so much peace of mind knowing my pup is in such great hands. Thank you Parisa! We will definitely reach out in future when we need help with Sky. 🙏
Ellen is one of the best dog walkers I've worked with. One of my dogs is nervous with strangers and can take many walks to finally trust, except for Ellen. First walk and my Willow was ready to follow her. Ellen was also always on time and talked to my girls like they were hers. Shes a gem!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
