About: I have been taking care of my husband’s family’s 3 cats for over five years now. They have made me fall in love them. We finally took the plunge in two years ago and adopted our own fur baby, a little tuxedo cat named Winnie! I also volunteer at the local animal shelter, providing love comfort and help to animals looking for their new forever homes. I love playing with dogs and taking them on nice long walks! Please note, I am not taking on recurring services at the moment. I would be happy to take a dog on a nice exercise walk at the end of the day, potentially with some toys to play with too! I would love to sit with your cat and give it some nice brushes and mice to chase. On Rover, I have taken care of cats, dogs, a bird and a horse. I am really open to any furry friend that needs some company! Your pet is my pet. I ensure the safety and security of your pet as if it is my own. Feel free to share other information that makes you feel most comfortable🙂
“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

About: From doing grooming and farm chores at a horse rescue and watching neighborhood dogs to raising my own terrier, I’ve gained experience with a wide variety of different breeds, sizes, ages and species. Need someone to look after your dog or farmsit while you’re away? Got an exotic pet, goat, sheep, horse or dog you need a sitter for? No problem! I delight in caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Almost all species and breeds are welcome here. I can also come to your farm or stable for horses and livestock animals. Note that I cannot take cats due to cat allergies. I’m currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! Dogs will be walked daily and will have free access to a large, fully fenced in yard. I can come to your house for any farm animals or exotics. I have a large fenced yard, plenty of pet toys and live in a suburban neighborhood filled with plenty of good parks to go for walks in. Any instructions you give as an owner will be respected and followed. Additionally, I am a private service for boarding! If you book me for your pets, then they will be guaranteed to be the only animals staying with me at the time. If I’m caring for horses or other farm animals, then I will come to your place rather than take them home. Horses will be groomed everyday as well as exercised according to your specifications.
“India helped walked our dog when we were doing a family and couples photo shoot and she was amazing. Would highly recommend her for all your dog walking needs!”

“Caroline was very good at communicating. She obviously loves animals and worked very hard to gain the trust of my fearful, reactive dog Hazel. She listened to my suggestions on how to handle Hazel’s insecurities. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi, my name is Ama and I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I recently lost my own senior pup, and I truly miss the companionship and joy that dogs bring. I’d love to open my home to your furry friend and give them the love, care, and attention they deserve while you’re away. Your dog will be treated like family, with plenty of belly rubs, playtime, and a cozy spot to relax. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and everything in between, including administering medication. Let me know how I can make your pup’s stay as comfortable and happy as possible. I can’t wait to meet them! I currently work on a hybrid schedule, so I’m in the office 1 to 2 days per week Monday through Friday. It really depends on the week and what’s needed. I’m a great communicator so we can decide which days might work best! I live a very active lifestyle and before my dog passed away recently, I would take her on 3 to 4 walks per day. There’s a park near my home and we also used to play catch and lay out in the sun.
“Our pup loved having Anton visit and walk her while we were out of town! We also had a neighbor drop things off which he brought inside for us. We will definitely have him help us again with our pup. Thank you, Anton!”

“Denisse has been fantastic with our older dog! Very responsive and super accommodating. Our 50lb dog needs to be carried up/down the stairs and she handles that without issue and provides plenty of pictures, updates, and even gives our dog cookies.”

About: I have over two years of experience caring for dogs, from young puppies to senior dogs that need extra attention and gentle care. I truly believe pets are family and deserve to be treated with love, patience, and respect. I’m a very active person, so I enjoy long walks with energetic dogs and giving them plenty of playtime and attention. I’m also comfortable caring for pets that require medication, including administering pills or liquid medication with a syringe, always making sure they feel calm and safe. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, comfortable, and cared for—just like a member of the family. I also send regular updates and photos so you can feel relaxed knowing your pet is happy and safe. I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet before the booking to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I’m currently in college on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 AM to 5 PM, and on Wednesday afternoons from 1 PM to 5 PM. Outside of those hours, including Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends, I have full flexibility, so I can easily fit in dog walks, drop-in visits, day care, or overnight stays. This allows me to give pets consistent attention, love, and care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at the owner’s home, I spend most of my time with them so they don’t feel lonely and can relax comfortably. In my home, I provide a cozy space for them to sleep and feel at ease, and I use cameras to check on them whenever I need to go out for errands. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and calm environment where each pet feels cared for and part of the family.

I'm comfortable with shy dogs, rescues, and seniors that need a little extra TLC. My priority is to make your furry family member feel safe, happy, and loved. As a Realtor, I’m trusted to care for people’s homes every day. I bring that same reliability and integrity in caring for both your pets and your home. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was very young, and I always had a family dog growing up. For 10 years, I have consistently been trusted by neighbors, family, friends, and even friends of friends to care for their dogs in various capacities. I took daily care of my sister's dog, Charlie (sweetest girl), who is a golden doodle and was a puppy at the time for 6 months. This included three walks per day and feeding her breakfast and dinner, plenty of tug of war and backyard time, as well as treats for being the best girl, but not too many.. I frequently take care of my parent’s dog who is high-energy and high-maintenance (Australian shepherd/poodle mix) who goes on two long walks per day and gets a ton of frisbee time in the yard. I've even taken care of another Rover Pet Sitter's dogs for multiple days, and overnight, while she was out of town, which included three daily walks (each and separately) for her two angels, I mean dogs. They are both a bit reactive and anxious, so I have plenty of experience navigating any possible issues along those lines. I currently have a very flexible schedule and work from home Monday-Friday, so I have plenty of time during the week for afternoon walks in addition to morning visits or afternoon/evening. I have plenty of availability on both weekdays and weekends. I am more than happy to answer any scheduling-related questions you might have! I've always had a dog growing up and love them more than most people (haha). I frequently take care of dogs of various ages for friends and family when they go out of town or are extremely busy, including my sister's puppy daily for months after she first brought her home (she was finishing medical school). I've also taken care of a very active Rover Sitter's two dogs that are reactive and walk separately, so I have plenty of experience tackling this kind of situation. They both got three (3) daily walks, breakfast, dinner, and a ton of play time for a few days while their owner was out of town. . I enjoy getting to know dogs and their personalities, so it barely felt like work. I have also worked as an Instacart Driver and in the Real Estate world, so I am more than capable of handling different ways of accessing apartments/condominiums via codes, lockboxes, etc, if that is of any concern. Happy to answer any further questions if necessary!! I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors and hanging out and playing with dogs, as I've been waiting, impatiently, to get one of my own (I want to ensure I have the right environment for a puppy before I finally bring one home). So, I'm happy to play with them in your yard, go on walks, or a combination of the two, as well as any specific meal-time or play-time requests.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rossmoor
She truly saved the day! We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, and she was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the whole situation. She took amazing care of Bella, followed all of our instructions, and made a stressful day so much easier. We’re so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Parisa is incredibly reliable, always on time, and goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is not only exercised but also happy and comfortable. I really appreciate the updates, photos, and little notes after each walk—it gives me so much peace of mind knowing my pup is in such great hands. Thank you Parisa! We will definitely reach out in future when we need help with Sky. 🙏
Ellen is one of the best dog walkers I've worked with. One of my dogs is nervous with strangers and can take many walks to finally trust, except for Ellen. First walk and my Willow was ready to follow her. Ellen was also always on time and talked to my girls like they were hers. Shes a gem!

Good job on tiring our Gordon setter puppy out, that’s not an easy challenge and you did it twice ! We hope you can continue to take care of Ulu and would just like communication to improve a bit in the future - but we are happy with your work and Ulu seems to love you too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
