I've taken care of pets since I was young. My family had cats growing up, and many of my friends had dogs and cats that I would help them take care of when needed! I love animals so much and they're such a joy to be around. We adopted our dog, Mako, in 2022, and so I'm very aware of the work, constant attention, and stimulation they need in their youngest days and months. The first initial months with a puppy can be a challenge as you wait to get them up-to-speed on their vaccinations, and I'd be more than willing to watch, puppy sit, or play with them if you need a break! If you have a dog that requires more structure/training, I'm able to provide that service too! We've put in a lot of time and work into our girl to make sure she is set up for success, confident, and guide her through facing her fears or anxieties. If you have a dog that is fearful, anxious, or reactive, let's chat! I'd be happy to talk with you about this to make sure you are also comfortable with your dog's caretaker. As a GSD dog owner, I am also well versed in high-energy and working breed dogs, especially the level of activity they need. If you are looking for someone with this knowledge and experience, let's connect! I'm also experienced with dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments and tailor my care to the personality of your pet! In 2024, our cuddly and adventurous Bombay boy, Kraken, showed up on our doorstep and he’s been a wonderful part of our family ever since! It’s been so fun to watch our dog Mako and our cat Kraken bond! There isn't anything that we haven't experienced with our own pets, and I'm able to do anything you need to make sure your pet is as comfortable as they are in their home while you're away (e.g., administer medicine, bathe, walk, play, provide supplements, ear drops, eye drops, etc). I can't wait to love your pet!

I stay in constant communication with you while I care for your pet! Please let me know of their routine, any areas of your home to avoid with your dog, and behaviors they may exhibit that I should be aware of and to help address while I am watching them (e.g., if you were to have a package delivered while I am house sitting your dog, do they bark or get nervous? Is there anything you typically do in these moments?)

Leah did a fantastic job watching our two cats. Our cats can be challenging—one is very shy and one eats everything but is very social. Leah did an amazing job meeting both cats’ needs and making them both feel comfortable and cared for. Both our cats got a lot of love while we were out and Leah went above and beyond to make sure they were well cared for. She sent a ton of updates as well which also made our day better. It made our vacation all the better knowing that everything was taken care of at home. We would definitely recommend Leah’s services and we’re hoping to hire her again in the future.
Leah was the the perfect sitter. I have a very skittish cat who does not come out when strangers are in the house, but Leah still sent pictures of her food bowls and made sure to check the house for anything amiss each drop in visit. She also brought my garbage cans and mail in, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be calling Leah again for our next trip.
Wonderful sitter. Bonded instantly with my cat and he already loves her! She sends me so many pictures of him playing and having a great time with her. It gives me peace and comfort to know that when we can't be at home, he's getting loving attention ad playtime! I will continue having Leah, as my sitter. Whenever we go out of town!
As always, she is a great help and our dog loves going on walks with her! He comes home nice and tired.

Schedule
I work full-time with an extremely flexible schedule as I primarily work from home. I have plenty of time to play and walk with your pups! I'm available for house sitting, walks, drop-in visits on most weekdays and weekends.
