“Jason was great! He took care of our animals while we were out of town. Quickly responded to texts, and sent photos of our animals when he was with them. Greatly appreciated Jason’s high quality service!”

“Liza is amazing and understands difficult dog behavior. We have an anxious dog who usually takes a while to warm up to new people which makes finding a dog sitter more challenging. Liza was patient with our dog and got him to more or less accept her on the first visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.”

“Anton has been walking our Pittie, Mihoshi, for months, and he is an excellent walker!! He’s very attentive to our pup’s behavior and communicates thoroughly. If we ever need to make adjustments, he is flexible. If he has upcoming plans, he informs us weeks in advance so we can work out the schedule together. I couldn’t recommend him more if you’re looking for a walker or sitter for your furry friend. :)”

“My partner and I are grateful for India! She was able to help us in a last minute situation which we were already nervous about because we have a rescue pup who needs strict routine but also kindness and patience. She seems to really love pets and would definitely consider her again for future walks.”

“Calvin was always on time. Had water ready for my dog. Walked for the length of the dog walk. And was able to manage my dog through some of her issues -- deer, loud vehicles... I highly recommend him as a dog walker.”

“Oluwaseun is such a wonderful dog walker! I will definitely use her again! She went far and above the walking responsibilities. She communicated before arrival and completion, sending cool photos of what my dog Ralph experienced on his walk.💗💗 She was attentive to all the details of what my dog needed. I felt so at ease having her walk my senior dog.”

“Cindy was great! She was very punctual, communicative, and caring with my dog when she took him for a walk. She also sent me many pictures from the walk. I would definitely hire her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I grew up with two dogs, two cats, and a bird. I have many years experience pet sitting as well as grooming and a bit of training. I work from home, so I am able to keep a constant eye on your pets (: I’m also able to take your pets for long, frequent walks, and take them to a nearby park if that’s something you’re comfortable with! I work from home, and I love going out for walks. Depending on you and your let’s needs, I can take them out as frequent as you’d like. I also have a dog park right next to my complex that I love to go visit. I live in an apartment, but the complex is gated and fenced in around the courtyard and pet grooming station. The complex itself is very safe- no one can enter without a key fob.
About: I have always loved being around dogs and being able to make sure their needs are met completely. Although I have only owned one dog I have been around different dogs from a young age. I trained my own dog as a puppy but I have family who have owned pit bulls, cane corsos, husky’s, etc. Animals and dogs have become a passion of mine and making sure they are living the best life they possibly can. I’m currently a bio major college student with completely open weekend times along with some weekday times. Tuesdays after 2:30 pm, Thursdays between 7 am to 10 am and after 2:30 PM, and Fridays starting at 11 AM. I understand the responsibility of the job and meeting your pets needs along with keeping them safe will always be the top priority. I also understand how hard it is to trust someone with your pet so I will also take pictures and videos to help making you feel comfortable while your away. Throughout my time I will make sure the pets feel as safe as possible and make sure they are getting the proper attention, care, and supervision.
About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life and have cared for friends’ pets for years, including dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m comfortable with energetic puppies, mellow seniors, and everything in between. I understand every pet has different needs and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for. I’m also happy to look after cats, small animals, and other pets, giving them the same attention and affection I’d give my own. I am a college student and have a set class schedule Monday–Thursday but I still have plenty of time for pet care during the day, evenings, and weekends. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely so they stay safe and comfortable. I’ll send regular photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life! I try my best to pick up on their body language and care for them as needed. I currently work part time and go to school. I am mostly available Friday through Monday but I may be able to work around your schedule! Please feel free to message me with any questions! I would love to make friends with your fur babies to gain their love and trust! I will care for them as if they were my own pups!
“Denisse is very kind and responsible!! She visited my house mid-day for several days to take my two dogs for a walk and let them play in the yard while I had long days out of the house. Everything with the booking went as planned and the pictures were great!! I highly recommend Denisse for your pet sitting needs!”

About: Hi, my name is what? (Yessica), my name is who? (Dog whisperer), my name is chika chika ruff ruff 😎 I am a dog lover at heart. Growing up with dogs has truly been a blessing, they are a man’s best friend. You can trust your dog will feel at home. Our furr baby Blake passed away in October of 2025, he was the goodest boy and forever will be cherished in our hearts. We live next to a long trail perfect for peaceful walks. About: I have been a pet owner for over 6 years now, and a pet lover since the day I was born. My dog at home is a pug that I adopted when he was just a puppy, so I've trained him and taken care of al his needs ever since. I have also dog-sitted for friends and family over the years, taking care of their pets while they were away. I love all my furry friends and would treat any of them with all the care I would my own! I am currently working a part-time job, so I'll have days throughout the week where i am fully available along with some days where my availability may start in the afternoon. I will be fully available on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And I will be available starting at 4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In my home, I have a fenced yard that's very large and spacious where my dog can roam freely and play. I also have a range of dog toys for him to play with and a medium sized crate that he can rest in. In someone else's home, I would make sure to make myself aware of all areas accessible to any pets and make sure they're secure and I can keep an eye on them. If there are toys available I could use those to play with the pets, and if not I have no problem bringing some with me as well.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Layhill
She truly saved the day! We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, and she was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the whole situation. She took amazing care of Bella, followed all of our instructions, and made a stressful day so much easier. We’re so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Ellen is one of the best dog walkers I've worked with. One of my dogs is nervous with strangers and can take many walks to finally trust, except for Ellen. First walk and my Willow was ready to follow her. Ellen was also always on time and talked to my girls like they were hers. Shes a gem!

Zaena was professional, timely and easy to work with! She is very quick to respond and was able to do a meet and greet same day. She took the time to make our dog Guinness comfortable before the first walk, took lots of pictures and had great communication updates for me. She even went out in the rain and made sure Guinness had his raincoat on. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
