Petcare is a massive part of my weekly schedule! I provide mid workday walks (10:30am to 4:00pm) Monday through Thursday, which is mostly taken up by regular weekly clients. However I do have some great flexibility that allows me to walk additional dogs/perform drop ins on cats and dogs in the mornings, evenings, and on the weekends, though I can no longer do pet homestays or midday bookings on Fridays since becoming a father.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a gentle and loving soul that pets typically respond very well to, even ones that typically very hesitant towards strangers. I will treat your pets with the same loving kindness I show to my and my friends' pets, following whatever care guidelines you may have for your animals. I am also trained in pet first aid and CPR should any emergency arise.
Information Michael S. would like to know about your pet
I will always suggest we meet up before I do my first walk/drop in/etc so we can get to know each other a bit and I can ask a few important questions regarding your animals' habits, training, feeding and walking rules, medical needs and play tendencies, and of course so you can ask me any questions you might have as well.
A typical day
Left to my own devices I like to take dogs on longer walks and vary up the routes and locations as much as possible, and make sure to include lots of time for fetch, tug-of-war and the like while at home. More importantly, I pride myself on being able to tailor care to your needs and desires, whether that means always sticking to the same walk route, avoiding other dogs, splitting time between walking and play in the backyard as you would like- whatever you and your pets need for peace of mind!

Pet care experience
**PLEASE NOTE: At present I have availability for one-off or weekly clients for the mid-weekday dog walking time period, roughly 10:30am through about 4pm, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Starting 6/8, I will have availability during that period on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well. I also have time available in the morning, evening and on weekends for drop ins and occasional dog walks, plus sometimes my regular clients do cancel, so I still encourage you to reach out. Thank you!** Growing up I wasn't allowed to have any pets (besides carnival goldfish) so as an adult I have attempted to make up for lost time! I took care of the pets of friends and family whenever I could, and I worked a part time job taking care of dogs and cats back in 2015 and 2016. I became a dog dad in my own right in 2019 and my wife and I now have a cat as well. In 2025 I became an regular dad as well :-) I have been providing pet care just about full time for over three years now and I love every minute of it. I have dozens of repeat and regular clients who all love the care and affection I provide for their pets and appreciate my friendly and prompt communication style. Should you chose to work with me, we will first meet face to face so I can ensure that your pet gets the best care possible according to your wishes and concerns- while your pets' happiness and safety is my top priority, your peace of mind is a close second! Each pet is unique with their own specific requirements, and I will treat your pets as the individuals they are, with the love and attention that they deserve. Besides working with typical adult dogs and cats I have experience with: -Puppies -Kittens -Nervous dogs -Senior dogs & cats -Blood sugar testing and insulin injection for dog & cats (I am also diabetic myself) -Highly reactive dogs to both people and other dogs, including a dog that was required to be muzzled while walking Additionally in March 2024 I became certified in pet first aid and pet CPR through Montgomery College. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions!
Reviews

Daisy loves her walks with Michael! He’s been really fantastic as she’s dealt with some minor health issues - slowing down the pace, taking her lead and keeping us in the loop.

As always, Michael did an outstanding job when taking care of our two cats. We are very lucky indeed to have his excellent care available!

Michael takes the best care of our cats! He sends detailed updates and goes above and beyond. He’s the best!

Michael continues to be one of the best pet care providers we’ve ever had. He is very thorough in taking care of our two cats when we’re away, and sees to their “idiosyncratic” behavior with good humor and much kindness. We are grateful for all that he does for our little ones, and we look forward to his services in the future. He really is great!
