Mom who loves pets
I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Growing up, we had fish and birds as well. In college, I had a goldfish and an African frog in my room. As an adult, I’ve had dogs, cats, parakeets and fish. My best friend and I pet sit for each other, but I have also taken care of cats, dogs, birds and Guinea pigs for other people. I have given medications to cats and dogs.

I love to visit. I can give medications as well as the usual food and water and potty breaks. I can just hang out with your pets if that’s what they need.

I had an issue the first day where my shy cat with lymphoma hid behind our curio cabinet. He needs daily meds, and I hired her because her profile indicated she can medicate animals. She didn’t want to disturb our stuff (fair) and I don’t expect her to move things and risk breaking things without me giving her permission. My issue was that she tried for under a min to lure him out with treats and when unsuccessful, she just put the pill in a treat and dropped it by him and said “eat it or not” and left. I have ring cameras which I let her know of before and because it was my first time working with her, reviewed that footage. I noticed that she had not actually medicated him herself, so I asked how the medication went. She initially did not indicate that she had been unable to administer it. It was only after I implied that I had reviewed the footage that she explained she had simply left the pill and treat beside him. Her Rover report had been 2 brief sentences that never mentioned it. I have another cat who could easily eat the pill and treat and I can’t have him taking medication for cancer not meant for him. I also would have appreciated being told immediately that she had not been able to administer the medication rather than having to discover that through the camera footage and ask about it myself. Day 2 she tried to medicate him but he hid from her and ran but she did try more this time. Fortunately, missing two doses was not expected to significantly harm my cat, but when I hire someone to care for my pets—especially one who requires medication—I expect clear and complete communication about what was and wasn’t done. The medication issue and lack of transparency were the main reasons for my disappointment. Otherwise she followed instructions for feeding well.
Catherine was very accommodating and communicative. She took excellent care of my 2 cats.
We appreciate Catherine looking after our cat. Our normally shy cat enjoyed Catherine's pampering.

Schedule
I am a teacher, so I am available for the rest of the summer pretty much all day every day to take care of your pets. Once school starts back up, I can do late afternoons, evenings and weekends
