Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
I would be happy to arrange a meet and greet before a stay if you would like. I would also like to know about your pets typical routine, food preferences, walking schedule, and favorite toys and treats! Also, being aware of their medical conditions and behavioral patterns enables me to ensure a secure and enjoyable stay. (There is a $15 late fee per extra hour for picking up pets late & also for non potty/house trained pets.
A typical day
During a typical stay with me, I love to get the pets mentally and physically engaged with fun activities. We can explore parks and trails for the dogs where we can find new smells and get some exercise in as well. For indoor cats I like to get them mentally engaged by the various toys I have and any toys from the owner. Always making sure your pet is as comfortable as possible!

Reviews

Several friends recommended Rover and we liked the info on your website. We understood that your sitters were carefully vetted and that we would receive text updates and pictures during the stay. We met with Rachel at a park of her choosing to introduce her to Rudy and explained his needs and daily routine. This was also supplied to her in writing when we dropped Rudy at her house. She was friendly and seemed comfortable walking him. One of our concerns was that he had frequent ear infections and he communicated that by shaking his head and pawing at his ear. When that occurred, he would need eardrops. We Several emphasized that this was unlikely to happen on her watch, but we would provide the drops just in case. We agreed to bring him to her the night before we left and asked for an address. She promised to text it. But she didn’t text until we texted her the following night to ask where to bring him. She sent her address and asked that we come at 9:30. When we arrived she hurried Rudy inside and returned outside. We said that we wanted to say goodbye, so she brought him back but was clearly in a hurry for us to leave. We asked to see the yard and she said “no” but she would send us a picture. Rae said that she had company as an excuse for not seeing the yard or inviting us in to see where Rudy would live. We never received that picture. She also confirmed that he got the eardrops twice daily, despite the fact that she seemed to understand the instructions the night before. At that point I regret that we did not cancel. The next morning, I texted from the airport to see how he handled that first night. Hours later I received a text reporting that he was fine and that she would send a picture when she got home. When I didn’t hear and it was getting late I texted again. She apologized and said she forgot. That was the pattern for the week. She didn’t give an update or picture, then when I asked, usually in the evening, she would respond. The worst was the pick-up. Whenever we are out even for a short time, Rudy excitedly greets us at the door. When we leave him overnight with someone he loves, he is bouncing all over when we return. When we arrived at Rachels’s there was no sound at all as we stood on the doorstep even after she opened the door. She said she would get him, closed the door and disappeared. Approximately 10 minutes later she came to the door with Rudy on a leash. He greeted us happily but subdued and rushed to our car. I asked where he was and she said in a side room but if that was the case he would have heard us. His eyes were glazed over. Since we were never allowed inside, we have no idea where he was confined. On a walk a few minutes after we picked Rudy up he exploded, urinating for a long time and had 4 weird bowel movements. On a subsequent walk 3 hours later, Rudy had 3 more bowel movements. It is not normal for Rudy to have 2 bowel movements on a walk. Thankfully he is back to normal now, but it was very scary and definitely impacted our trip. Please vet your sitters more thoroughly and tell your sitters that their clients should see where their pets are being housed. George and Nancy Sushinsky

This was my first time ever using a dog sitter since I had my dog and I will have to say it was a great experience. Rachel was professional, kind, accommodating and understanding. From the moment I requested her service, she made herself available to get to know my dog and myself. I can tell my dog truly enjoyed his time with Rachel. Will definitely highly recommend and will be booking again. Thank you for taking care of my baby.
Rachel was great fine to care for our dog Melo. We did a meet & greet at the park which went well. A few days later we dropped him off at her house for boarding. She sent the cutes picture of him and a cat sleeping side by side. She does respond promptly to rover messages sent to her. I would recommend Rachel and look to rebook again when the need arise.

Available at short notice and very responsive.
