Availability
Because we work from home, someone is always at the apartment to provide constant supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of company. Our daily schedule typically runs from 7 AM to 11 PM, allowing us to easily mirror your pet's routine and feeding times. We also have excellent availability for daytime walks during weekdays, and weekend walks can be negotiated.

Our neighborhood is in south Silver Spring right on the edge of a residential neighborhood in DC, which is perfect for quick and peaceful walks. For longer walks, we have a large, grassy park 5 minutes from us. If even longer walks are needed, Rock Creek Park is just a 15 minute walk away. Our apartment has a large open living space, as well as a wall-to-wall/floor-to-ceiling window in the main room. Dogs and cats usually enjoy the view (lots of squirrels, bunnies, birds, dogs, and other passersby to watch). We are south-facing and can get lots of sunlight if your pet likes that. We live on one of the upper floors, and there are two readily available elevators. There are other dogs in the building, but generally there's not much foot traffic, and there are multiple ways in and out of the building if you'd like us to keep your pet separate from others during their stay. Your pet is welcome on our living room furniture (couch, chairs, and recliner), but bedrooms are off limits as those are carpeted. We are also serious about following house rules when we take care of dogs/cats at their pet-owner's home. If your pet has any medications, allergies, special routines, or other considerations, please let us know. We are very detail-oriented and have experience with all kinds of different feeding routines and methods of delivering medication. Like we said, since we don't have pets of our own (yet), we really treat each pet the same way we would treat our own. Most importantly, that includes a lot of patience, love, and attention!

Information Aditya & Patrick B. would like to know about your pet
It helps to know your pet’s routine. Feeding, walks, and sleep. Any meds or special care they need. Their likes and dislikes, favorite toys, and treats. How they do with new people, other pets, and on walks. And any little quirks that make them feel safe and happy.
A typical day
Someone is usually awake and up by 7am, and we are in bed by 11pm. We work from home for most of the week, so someone will always be at home. We like to work from the living room when pets are staying, so we can give them cuddles and make sure they don't get bored or miss their potty breaks. Sometimes we need to take meetings in our rooms, but we take breaks every hour to come outside and check on things. Usually we take dogs for longer walks in the morning and evening, but we can adjust this according to your dog's usual schedule. By the end of the day, we also feel the need to let out some energy, so if you have a very active dog, they will be able to enjoy plenty of supervised running, fetch, and tug-of-war with us. We are also just as comfortable taking slower, more peaceful strolls with your senior dogs. At nighttime, we make sure your pet has had their potty. Most pets enjoy sleeping on our couch, which is low enough to the ground for most dogs to easily get on and off. Occasionally, either or both of us also like to sleep in the living room, so if your pet needs to have someone in the same room at night just let us know.

Two Trusted Dog & Cat Lovers
Pet care experience
Hi! We're Pat and Adi, a couple of dog and cat lovers with years of experience petsitting and dogwalking. Adi has been around dogs his entire life. Prior to grad school he was the main one responsible for walking, feeding, and handling medications for his family dog. Pat grew up with several indoor and outdoor cats, and later in life discovered his love for dogs. He spent a year volunteering at the Lost Dog Rescue Foundation walking (and hanging out with) dogs of various sizes, ages, and backgrounds. Over the years, many friends and family members have trusted us to look after their pets while they're away. Together we have combined experience with dogs and cats of all ages, from rambunctious kittens to sweet senior dogs (who we have a soft spot for). We do not currently have pets of our own, so we will treat yours like family every time they visit! In addition to petsitting, we also currently have availability for daily walks on weekdays (weekends can be negotiated).
Reviews

Pat is so great with my dog, He knows how to treat my dog well and work with her.,I will continue to rebook and I highly recommend him.

I couldn’t be happier with Adi & Pat’s care for Louie! They communicate well and clearly, they asked good questions to make sure they’d cover all the bases for Louie’s care, and provided regular updates and photos, which were greatly appreciated. Louie came home happy and relaxed after his stay and knowing he had a comfortable time is great peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anyone looking for local sitters and I will certainly be rebooking for any future stays!
Adi has taken care of our dog, Gullu on numerous occasions. Adi is very responsive, will send daily updates and pictures, and Gullu always returns in high spirits. She is always very happy when she sees Adi, probably cause she gets a lot of love and cuddles with him. Highly recommend Adi as a trusted dog walker/sitter and your fur baby is in good hands!

I can tell Adi is perfect with Timothy. They really hit it off. Adi is a keeper!
