“We had a great experience with Nezuko’s sitter and highly recommend them! They were reliable, attentive, and very caring throughout the visit. Nezuko was well taken care of, happy, and comfortable, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. Communication was excellent, and the updates and photos were really appreciated. It’s clear they genuinely care about the pets they look after.”

“Sophia took great care of my cat while I was away. I’ve never had someone watch my cat before and she listened to all of my thoughts and answered my questions kindly. Sophia sent updates and photos while I was away and I am thankful she cared for my cat so well!”

“Sharon took great care of our two cats while we were away for a week! One of our cats requires daily medication and she was able to administer the medication even when our cat was not being the most cooperative. We will definitely book her again!”

“Nicole always does such a wonderful job caring for our dog. I especially like her comments to us on Rover that truly shows she understands the personality of our stubborn, quirky yet lovable dog. It makes me feel secure knowing Nicole is looking after her while we travel.”
“Julianna did a great job checking on our cat for us! She was great at communicating how she was doing and patient with our cat that is a bit slow to warm up to strangers. I loved the pictures and could see my cat getting more comfortable with her throughout the visits! We would definitely recommend Julianna for cat sitting to others!”

“We highly recommend Xin’s cat care service. She did an awesome job playing with our cat and making sure his litter box was clean and cat fed for 5 days while we were away. She also sent a lot of cute pictures of the cat playing and when she fed him. I am planning to use her services again soon.”

About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog sitter who takes the time to understand each dog’s specific needs and routine. I have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m comfortable adjusting my approach depending on their age, energy level, and behavior. With puppies, I focus on reinforcing good habits like basic commands, potty training routines, and appropriate play. I stay consistent with whatever training style the owner prefers to help support their progress. I also have experience with senior care, including giving medications, monitoring mobility, and making sure older dogs stay comfortable and don’t overexert themselves. I pay close attention to any changes in behavior and keep owners updated. I’m patient, observant, and make sure every dog feels safe, cared for, and well looked after. I am a college student at Penn State University and am back for summer, so I’m free everyday and am flexible with timing to fit your needs. I follow each pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I stick to their feeding, walking, and care instructions while making sure the pet gets plenty of attention and exercise.
“William really put us at ease with his kindness, attention to detail and overall professionalism during our absence. Our boy was his regular self when we returned which speaks to the calm effective way he was cared for. Thanks William!”

“We utilized Kevin’s services for the first time during my outpatient surgery for a drop in visit. He inspires trust, which is extremely important on a day like that. He followed all arrangements well & kept us apprised. We certainly hope to hire him again!”

About: We are a family of four (kids are 12 and 15), plus Nash our 6 year old Australian Shepard who loves walks and snuggles. Before Nash (and even before kids!), we had Riley, our sweet black lab who left us too soon. Over the years, we have fostered dogs, cared for our friends' dogs, given millions of belly rubs and logged many miles of dog walks around our lovely neighborhood. We'll provide a caring and friendly environment, a fenced in backyard and a built-in furry playmate! I have an irregular schedule, but work from home >50% of the time. Both kids loves dogs and can also help in the afternoons and on weekends. We'll provide pics of your pup playing and on walks. Your pup will have a fenced-in yard and run of the house to play and rest. We will follow whatever schedule they are used to, can have them play with our dog or provide separation if you prefer. While the kids may help, all pup care will be done 100% by me.
“Alice exceeded our expectations in caring for our cats. They were very happy in her presence. We appreciate her clear communication and meticulous Rover cards. Her amazing care was evident throughout the stay. We were very much at ease with her cat-sitting for us, and we will gladly have her again. :)”

“Danny was very dependable and came to let our 2 dogs out exactly when he said he would. He sent a photo and let me know how they were doing. I would definitely book with him again!”
About: I offer more than basic pet sitting—I bring experience, intuition, and a calm, knowledgeable approach to every visit. From everyday care to more complex medical needs, including medication administration, I’m confident handling a wide range of situations while keeping your pet comfortable and stress-free. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, with a preference for early mornings, late afternoons, and evenings. My apartment is located in a safe, pet-friendly community that’s ideal for in-home sitting. The environment is calm, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of space for pets to relax comfortably. I make sure every pet in my care feels secure, supervised, and right at home.
“I highly recommend Ivan as someone who will take great care of your pet. He has been doing a great job looking after my dog (1h drop in visits daily). There was a recent minor medical emergency and he handled it extremely well. He is thoughtful and conscientious of the pet’s individual needs. Very grateful to have him!”

Ana was fantastic! I will absolutely use her again for my two feline furbabies. I know all cat owners say their cats are particular but mine definitely are and Ana followed all the instructions I gave her. Her photos and notes were so helpful while I was gone. My cats were clearly comfortable with her right away which made being away easier. Thanks so much, Ana!

Ashley was an absolute gem! She was completely reliable; we never had to wonder if she’d show up or follow through. The adorable photos she sent at every visit became the little highlight of our day we’d find ourselves looking forward to. The biggest sign she was doing something right? Our cat normally wolfs down her food out of anxiety or boredom when we travel — with Ashley, she ate totally calmly and looked happy in the photos. That said it all. We’re so grateful for the peace of mind and will 100% be rebooking her. Highly recommend!

One of the best pet sitters I have had. I have an older cat with medical problems. My 2nd cat can be aggressive with strangers especially when giving my older cat meds. She had the least problems of any pet sitter and was great with handling both. She is reliable and competent. Just did an amazing job.

Danny was a God-send! He was super responsive, accommodating, conscientious, and responsible. He was also wonderful with our dog, Mojito, who looks out the door every afternoon as if waiting for Danny. 😃 I can't recommend Danny enough and will definitely be using him again.

Fran is wonderful and I felt at ease with her checking in on my cats. She made their treat time more exciting/stimulating by adding toys to a treat maze and always tries to engage my shy kitties. I appreciate that she takes notes and asks good questions about care preferences.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
