“I cannot Believe how awesome Jason has been. Very happy I found him to take care of my dog and go to my apartment to check on him!! Absolutely worth more than 5 stars”

“I have had several sitters through Rover and Natalia is hands down my favorite. She is incredible with my girls ( a 6 yr old cat and 6 months old kitten). She's always thoughtful and sweet with them!”

About: I have had many dogs over the years, all adopted. Have fostered dogs too. Your pet will have access to several dog beds. My cairn and I would love to watch your dog with you are away. I am recently retired so am home most of the time. So your pet will get care and attention all day long that includes one daily walk. Additional walks available for a fee. I have a stockade fenced in back yard. I go outside several times during the day to hang on my deck and let my dog explore and play.
“We had a great experience with Khadija. She sent photos everyday and our dog really enjoyed her company. She followed all instructions properly and left all items in the correct place. We would definitely engage with her again in the future.”

“Jana was my first experience with a rover sitter and I could not be more happy about it! She was really communicative about everything. She made a checklist for everything she needed to do for each visit and was really prepared. She also sent photo updates of my kitties and let me know every time she was with them. Jana also went above and beyond and made the kittens a toy for them to enjoy (so sweet!!) which really shows how much she cared about my kitties [and animals in general!] She took time to play with them and give them attention :) Jana made me feel so much better about having left my cats alone for a few days and I would book her again and I definitely recommend her services!”

“Helene did a wonderful job taking care of Chester and Kate! She followed all care instructions and spend extra time visiting with them. Helene provided excellent communication and sent pictures of the kitties during each visit. In addition, she took in the mail, ran the dishwasher and took out the trash. Thank you for a job well done, Helene!”

“Ambar did a wonderful job taking care of our kitten Josie. She always provides a detailed report of how Josie is doing, which we really appreciate. Josie is very shy, but she loves playing with Ambar. We never worry about Josie when we have to go out of town because Ambar always does an amazing job. I highly recommend her!”

“Drew did an excellent job caring for our corgi over Thanksgiving. We really appreciated his willingness to do a meet and greet in advance. He was polite, professional, friendly and communicative. All of our directions were followed to the letter and we came home to a tidy space and a happy dog :)”
“Julianna did a great job checking on our cat for us! She was great at communicating how she was doing and patient with our cat that is a bit slow to warm up to strangers. I loved the pictures and could see my cat getting more comfortable with her throughout the visits! We would definitely recommend Julianna for cat sitting to others!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Carolina. She is very responsive, reliable and loves animals. She is caring and a pleasure to interact with. She came to meet our 3 cats ahead of a one-week trip we had and our cats immediately connected with her from there on. We highly recommend her!”

“Ilana has been checking in our dog, Bentley, during weekdays since January. She's been very reliable, easy to communicate with, and we can tell that she ensures our buddy gets exercise and love! Would highly recommend her. Thanks Ilana!”

About: I’ve had a dog for 12 years and family and friends have trusted me to take care of their dogs and give them the proper care. I am playing in a summer baseball league and I work at a summer camp for 4 weeks so during that time I’ll only be available on weekends but when that isn’t happening I am mostly available during the day. I routinely feed and walk my dog at home and go to my friend’s home when they are on vacation to feed and let their dog out.

About: I’ve had cats my whole life, and started taking care of my own very young. I have a kitty who is 5 years old now and he is my baby.! I’ve been in horse care for 7 years, as well as watching and caring for other barn animals. Have had dogs in the family and dog/cat sat for friends my whole life as well! Currently have full availability, am open for walks anytime for what fits your routine, and sitting when they need some extra care. I can work with you and your schedule for weekdays for my availability. I know how important it is to see that your pet family has attention when you may have a busy life! I am with my cat a lot, and keep him on a good feeding routine and have outside time everyday. He is mainly indoor, so I have understanding of protecting your animals in the home as well as needing playtime, exercise, and fresh air. Every human and pet friend alike are different! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kensington
Melissa does a great job with our cats. You can see why she has earned her Star Sitter status on Rover. It is nice to have someone take such good cared of our cats, and to be so reliable, such that our cats are well taken care of, and we can have peace of mind while on vacation.

Jazzel was awesome! No complaints at all. I needed someone to check on my cats while I was away, and even with very short notice, she was able to fit us in her schedule and took great care of them. She sent multiple photos during every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind, and even my super skittish scaredy cat warmed up to her after a few days. I would 100% recommend her, and she’ll definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to care for my cats! :)

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kensington. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
