“Franky has been walking my 57 lb, 12 year old boxer/lab mix for a week now and I’m very pleased. He asked good questions at our meet n greet before the first walk and is taking excellent care of my girl. He’s super nice and clearly loves dogs and knows how to treat them well. 5 stars.”
About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life, and dog-sat and cared for many different dogs over the years. I will treat your pup like family. They will feel secure and safe and get a lot of attention and affection. I work from home full time and have a very flexible schedule between 8-5. In addition to a great walk, your fur-baby gets cuddles, play time, and loads of love. Your dog will never be left unattended or alone in a yard. In my house, your dog can sleep in the bed if they like (and you OK it). My own dog is a 9 year old trained therapy dog. She is calm, sweet, and gets along with all dogs both big and small, chill or playful. She'll be happy to share her home. I use positive reinforcement only.
“Wow, what a lovely person! Jennifer truly cares about doing a great job caring for animals- specifically my dog and two cats!!! I’m so grateful for her incredible communication and dedication to her job!!!”

“Tom and Cynthia have been extremely helpful when we’ve needed a last minute dog walker. Tom is fast at responding, which I appreciate. I can tell he takes good care of our dog :)”

About: I’ve always had dogs, birds, and lizards surrounding me ever since I was young! I love animals more than anything, and dogs are my absolute favorite, although I am a lover of all furry friends. As a 30 year old and throughout my 20s I have had a mastiff mix, and now still with my husky/German Shepard mix, Cocoa. She is 9 years old and has been with me every year of her life! I love to take care of her, and will do the same for your pets! I have pet sat for many of my friend’s cats and adore their funny personalities as well! I am currently a student, and my classes are in the evening for a short time, so I have some free time to be able to pet sit and walk your pets! My classes end in the evenings early on so if someone needs their pet checked on and walked/ water and fed I am able to come later on in the evening! I have an apartment with lots of walking space, but can drive to anyone to dog sit or walk, and keep your pet comfy and happy with lots of walks, play time, and making sure whatever their routine is, kept accordingly! I also am familiar with crate trained doggies, which I have had my dog do in the past when she was younger. I am here for whatever your animal friend needs!
“Kelly did a great job with our dog Bonnie. She is very knowledgeable about what does and doesn’t work with dogs which I greatly appreciate. Would not hesitate to use her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Lucy, and I have always loved being around animals. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different sizes, ages, and energy levels through friends, family, and neighbors. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’m committed to providing dependable and loving care every time. I’m currently home from college for the summer and have a very flexible schedule. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and on weekends. I love spending time with animals and will make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. About: Growing up with pets, I learned how to care for them at a very young age. Whether it’s feeding, snuggling, walking, or playtime, I love caring for furry friends! I’m a college student home for the summer so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available for morning walks, mid day check-ins, and nighttime snuggles. I always make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable, no matter where they are. I’m great at following instructions and solving problems when they occur.
About: We only take hypo-allergenic dogs. We have a great backyard and love going for walks. We have three kids who love dogs. We also have two pups that love to play too! Enjoy taking pups for morning and afternoon walks and letting dogs out to play in backyard anytime. My kids enjoy playing with pups when they get home from school. We are a smoke free, clean and eager to play with an additional pup. We only take hyper-allergenic dogs and are firm on this. So please don’t choose us if you don’t have these kind of dogs.
About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
“Marti was a great walker. Super friendly and easy to connect with, she developed a bond quickly with our dog, and was willing to assist by walking our "cousin" dog the days we had already booked her for one. She provided great updates and photos, and was an excellent communicator throughout the process. Thank you, Marti!”

“Skylar leaves wonderful messages and takes great photos each time he takes my older dog for a walk. He always makes sure there is a light left on for her if dark, that she has fresh water, and most importantly that she enjoys her walk! I am so grateful and will be using his services again.”

“Shauna is great! She walks our (very energetic) dog weekly. She is responsive, flexible and always on time. Our dog (Kyla) is skid-dish with new people but she warmed up to Shauna very quickly and is always excited to see her. Kyla comes back from her walks happy and tired - well worth it!”

Claire has been wonderful to work with! She came by the day before for a site visit to meet my dog, which I really appreciated. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions, learn about my dog’s routine, and make sure she understood his needs. Communication has been excellent from the start, and she’s been incredibly flexible and accommodating. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave me peace of mind, and I feel confident knowing my dog will be in great hands. I’m looking forward to using her dog walking services and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. Thanks, Claire! 🐾😊

Marti is always so wonderful with our dog Hemi! She is very responsive with walking requests when sent. She is flexible with timing and will always make herself available for your doggo. Further, Hemi loves her and at the end of their walk Marti even spends time with our cat giving her AND Hemi both treats and pets.

My dog stayed with me for a few months and because of my job, it's hard for me to predict when I will need a dog walker in advance. Despite my many last minute asks, Edward K. helped me by taking care of Oreo. His communication was great. The pictures he sent indicated that Oreo really liked him and had a great walk each time. Most importantly when I got home I could tell that Oreo's walk with Edward made him more peaceful and settled during my long days away from him. Oreo is going back to live with his family in Ohio for a season but I just wanted to thank Edward publically for helping out in this really meaningful way!

Claire was absolutely fantastic! She stepped in super last minute to walk our 65-lb Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, her communication was excellent — she kept us updated and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Claire was incredibly kind, patient, and clearly very comfortable handling a larger dog. Our pup came back happy and well exercised, which says everything. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would recommend Claire any day and will absolutely be booking with her again. If you're looking for someone reliable, communicative, and great with dogs (especially bigger ones), Claire is the one!

I would pick 10 stars for Michaela, if possible. Star has some tigger issues and I have never asked anyone else to walk my dog as she can be a handful. Michaela walked Star today and I did not worry and Star came back super happy and tired! She loved Michaela and watched out the window as she left. I am hoping to book Michaela again, as needed as she is a dog whisper and I am recommending her to all my dog owner friends. She is the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
