Leslie was loving, caring and she treated Frances, my terrier-dachshund with the closest and kindest attention—plenty of walks, balanced diet, happy human company to sleep with when she desired, and various places to rest—so Leslie passed those all those important measures.She also sent me photographs with comments fairly often, which delighted me and made me know that Frances was safe and happy! But then, of Great value was the fact that she always could find positive human companionship—her cousin came, and let Frances and another dog, sleep on his knee, looking utterly content, her roommate really liked Frances and showed it, and Leslie did too. AND there was always her dog, and then occasionally a neighbor’s dog or another client’s dog visiting for a number of hours. That was Heaven for Frances, and just what I was hoping for. A place where Frances could be, as Leslie put it, a member of a pack. NOT a large, in any way overwhelming pack, but a small pack, consisting of one or two or conceivably three other dogs, which she could be with. THAT and the essential human warmth which was very much present—was all I could dream of—and Leslie provided it. Thank you so, so much. I will definitely use her services again! About: In my experience, cats are much more comfortable in their own homes, with visits from a caretaker person. I have had cats and been around cats all my life. I understand cats and won’t push them to be friendly if that’s not the cat’s personality. Kittens are another matter entirely. Please know that if they are destructive or high-energy, that is going to be a problem.

About: Huge lover of dogs and puppies of all sizes and breeds! I grew up with family dogs and fostered dogs throughout college; it was a super rewarding and FUN experience. I’ve dealt with shy dogs, dogs with anxiety and pups as young as 6 weeks. Eventually I adopted my own and I can now say I’ve spent hours on end at dog parks. I am a happy owner of a 5 year old mix named Tucker (DOB: 9/20/17) and 1 year old golden retriever puppy named Skye (DOB: 3/20/22). My fiancé and I as a team will both be responsible for your fur babies so you get 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! We would love to meet, care and play with your pup and I'm sure our dogs will too. Just to note: Tucker is weary with humans and will bark his head off the second he sees a PERSON he doesn’t know... but other than that, he has no problems with other dogs and would love to hang out with yours! I work a hybrid job which means my work from home days change every week depending on my teams' schedule: ON DAYS I AM IN THE OFFICE, I'm usually there from 9an-4pm. We have a pet camera in our living room and our dogs do perfectly fine while at work. As soon as I get home we play and go on neighborhood walks or to the dog park. If your dog is house trained and/or crate trained and have no issues being left out or in the crate in a calm environment they can come hang out with Tucker & Skye during the day! ON DAYS THAT I WORK FROM HOME, your dog will get all the attention they could possibly want. About: I’ve been working at a five-star pet resort in the Dulles area for several years now; therefore, I’ve had experience with all kinds of pets and behaviors. I have classes on my college campus Monday through Thursday, work at the pet resort on Fridays, so I’m only really available on the weekends at the moment. About: I started dog sitting for neighbors when we lost our dog in 2013 and we really missed our Lab, Bailey. We adopted a lab mix about 4 years ago, who gets along well with dogs that visit. We have a good amount of experience and about 5 regular clients who come back again and again. I have one teenager at home who also can help. We have a pretty good set up with a cabinet for dog food, drawer for doggie medicines and a place to hang leashes. We have a big deck and fenced yard, so dogs often lie in the sun on our deck. Come visit! I work from home a lot and have a very flexible schedule. So dogs are never alone for long. I walk dogs twice a day at least and play in the yard sometimes. I hade a fenced yard in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Very little traffic and very friendly neighbors. We have woods around as well so dogs love it.

About: Since I was little I always have had a love for dogs. I used to walk to my neighbors house and ask to walk their dog, because I of how bad I wanted one. Once I got my dog, I feel in love right way. I love and know how to care for dogs of all sizes, and needs! I'm free all days of the week! Right now I am taking a NOVA summer class to get ahead, so I will need to allocate some time to that. But my class will end after the first week of July. I have a fenced backyard, so I let my dog go out when he wants while also watching him. Also my dog is very calm, and doesn't run off. So When he wants to sit in the front yard, I let him off the leash but I stay outside to make sure nothing happens.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have taken care of my friends and neighbors dogs whenever they need a dog sitter. I also worked at Olde Towne Pet Resort for two years working with both dogs and cats. I also worked at Pender Veterinary Centre for two years, where I administer treatment and care of dogs, cats, and even exotic animals! When I care for pets, I make sure they are fed, taken outside on their daily walks and have some fun! When going on a walk, I make sure to carry a water, portable water bowl, bags and treats. I also check the temperature and make sure the heat index has not surpassed the recommended temperature for walking dogs. When feeding pets, I make sure to follow their feeding schedule and the amount recommended by their owner. I also check with the dog owner, if the pets have any allergies, medication or other health concerns. I ensure a safe, loving and welcoming space for each pet. My summer days are super flexible. I am also open to do super early walks, or late check-ins for dogs. My schedule during the day is open. I’m also available to housesit during the weekends. I try to update my calendar every two weeks. I treat any pet as my own pet. I ensure that they are comfortable, that they are fed, that they are also having fun and they feel safe. I know changes can sometimes cause pets to become anxious, and I want to ensure that while their human goes on trips, or is away, they are feeling like they are taken care of and feel safe!
About: I have been around dogs my entire life, I have my own doodle who loves other dogs. I often host play dates with the neighbor dogs! I have not met a pup I didn't love. I will treat your dog like my own as I always have done with other pups I have pet sit. I am trying to convince my husband to get a second dog eventually. I work from home most days of the week; however , if I go in then my husband watches our dog. My schedule allows flexibility for the dogs in my care. I have a fenced in yard and my own doodle so I prefer to watch your pup in my own home. There are plenty of trails near our home so we can take long walks if it's not too hot.
About: My family has had our first dog for 3.5 years now. His name is Hunter. We absolutely love him! I am a stay at home mom with 2 school age kids. I love to take care of my kids and Hunter. I walk my dog 3 times a day on the paths near my house. On a nice day we could walk to the park and hike among the river. Hunter likes to cuddle all the time and loves to go everywhere with us. Fenced backyard, medium to small size yard. My dog enjoys running in the backyard as well as in the front when it safe. Dogs allowed on all furniture including beds. My kids 10 and 16 enjoy dogs a lot. Hunter is very friendly and playful. Lots of love in the house!
About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.
