“Toby had a wonderful time with Shiyi, Tyler, and Toto! Shiyi and Tyler were very communicative and sent lots of pictures and videos of Toby :) Toto was an awesome playmate as well.”

“The Wenyan and Purple team are super super amazing! I was so nervous to leave Boba somewhere because sometimes his anxiety gets the best of him. After reading about all the care that the Wenyan and Purple team give to their fellow visitors, we had to see and try them for ourself…and let me tell you!! They were everything they said and more!! Purple is super sweet and Boba had an awesome time. We only did 4 hours just to try it out and we were provided ample photos and video of Boba and his new friends! We will def be bringing him back and thank you for taking care of our baby!!! ❤️❤️”

“Yi was great with Mr. Buttons - my 8 month old, 13lbs cavapoochon. Both times I left him for daycare, there were other similar sized pups around and he seemed to have a great time. Came back super hungry and tired. As Yi does not take large dogs, there is less risk of serious accidental injuries during playtime. Yi was also very prompt responding to messages, sent lots of pictures of our pup and had Rover cards with details of walks/pee /potty breaks. She was also very accommodating when I had to reschedule once at very short notice, when Mr. Buttons fell ill. I will definitely recommend YI if you have small dog and are looking for a safe place and personalized care.”

“Jane was amazing. She did more than expected and beyond. I got daily photos and updates. Her daycare space is so beautiful. My dog Maxx had such a great time there. She took extra care of him. I would highly recommend her. Thank you Jane.”

“I recommend Loreen to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter! She made my dog extremely comfortable and was able to accommodate to our last minute time changes. I will definitely be asking her to take care of Tofu the next time I’m out of town!”

“Sake always enjoys spending time with Carla and her family during doggie daycare. She is well cared for while I am away at work for the day. Carla sends plenty of videos of her eating her food, walking around the neighborhood, enjoying her snack time, playing with her doggie daycare friends and pays special attention, as needed.”

“Thankful for Renata for watching Zeus last minute and being able to accommodate my ever changing work schedule. She takes great care of my very senior dog, and I know he’s happy when he stays with her.”
“Watson absolutely loves being at Mings. When he knows we are approaching, his tail starts wagging like crazy. The entire team takes wonderful care of him. I love the pics they send every time.”

“Bella has a wonderful stay with Kevin and his family. They all made our anxious pup feel safe in their loving and calm environment. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!”

“We have used Sophia twice now for daytime services and each time, our dog came home safe and happy. It's obvious Sophia has a lot of experience with pet care and gives me confidence in her ability to keep our dog happy. Sophia responds quickly to texts and provides pictures. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sophia to any pet parent. In fact, we already have Sophia booked for a long term stay while we go on vacation.”

“Sriju is a very kind person. She is attentive to my dog, Daisy, when she stays for the day. Daisy loves staying with her. I will continue to keep bringing my dog to stay with Sriju🐶🥰”

“My dog had a great time in daycare at Veronica's! Instead of coming home from pet sitting anxious and clingy, he was actually calmer than usual when he got home and the next day (I think he worked off some energy as well as having fun playing with the other dogs). Veronica took the time to get to know him and to introduce him to the other dogs one-on-one until he was comfortable. I also appreciate that she was able to fit him in on a busy holiday weekend.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Great Falls
Michele was great. Very responsive. Made me feel comfortable leaving my dog son with her. I think he enjoyed it as well because when we left, he paused at the car as if he wanted to go back with her. I definitely look to booking her again real soon. She really seems to care for him just like I do.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
