About: We have always been around with dogs and have genuine love for them. We have a beagle mix (TOTO) and he loves running and playing with other dogs! We also have experience taking care of dogs and cats for our friends. Except for running basic errands, we will be home with your pets almost 24/7. I’m currently working fully remotely from home and my husband’s work schedule is also flexible, so we will spend a lot of time with your pups! Our day starts around 8AM and we do a 30-min walk then breakfast. We have a fenced backyard and your dogs will have free access to it. We offer playtime throughout the day as well. Around 6PM we have another walk for about 40 min and then dinner. Around 11PM we do another bathroom break before bed. 1. Daily Routine -We can feed according to your schedule and dietary instructions. -We usually do two long walks (30-45 min) per day and let our dog go out to backyard a couple times or whenever he wants to. So we will make sure your pet(s) have two (or more if needed) walks and let them have regular potty breaks in backyard throughout the day. 2. Exercise & Enrichment -Feel free to bring your own toys and we will also offer toys and play games with your pets. -Our dog loves playing with dogs too and he’s full of energy so I’m sure your pups won’t get bored! 3. Safe Environment -We have a fenced backyard to let your dogs run and explore! -We have multiple rooms so we can separate dogs if needed.
“I recommend Loreen to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter! She made my dog extremely comfortable and was able to accommodate to our last minute time changes. I will definitely be asking her to take care of Tofu the next time I’m out of town!”

About: I provide thoughtful, home-based care for dogs who thrive in a calm and structured environment. As a work-from-home sitter, I’m able to give consistent attention, supervision, and a steady routine throughout the day. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs with different energy levels and temperaments, and I pay close attention to their behavior, comfort, and safety. What sets me apart is that I keep things intentionally small and controlled. I take the time to understand each dog’s needs, and prioritize a low-stress experience with plenty of outdoor time, gentle structure, and a secure fenced yard. I also require a meet-and-greet to ensure the right fit, so every dog in my care feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after.I keep my care intentionally small so each dog gets consistent attention and a calm environment. Doggy care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and am able to provide consistent supervision and companionship throughout the day.Dogs in my care are part of a calm, structured routine that includes regular outdoor time in my fenced yard, walks on nearby trails ( My fenced backyard opens directly to walking trails for easy access to outdoor time and walks) along with plenty of time to rest and relax indoors. I build my schedule around the dogs I’m caring for, making sure they get a good balance of activity, attention, and downtime. On a weekly basis, I keep things predictable and low-stress, which helps dogs settle in comfortably. I’m mindful about not overbooking, so each dog receives the time and attention they need without feeling overwhelmed. Whether it’s a weekday or weekend, their care and routine remain consistent so they feel safe and at ease... When pets stay in my home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow each dog’s feeding schedule, potty routine, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. Dogs have regular access to my fenced yard for bathroom breaks and outdoor time, along with walks on nearby trails depending on their energy level. Inside the home, dogs are given a calm space to relax and are never left unsupervised for long periods since I work from home. I introduce dogs thoughtfully and only take on a small number at a time to maintain a safe and low-stress environment. I also pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall comfort, and I communicate with owners if anything seems off. My goal is to make their stay feel predictable, safe, and as close to their home routine as possible.
“Jason and Becky are truly two of the most patient pet sitters I’ve ever worked with. Communication was always prompt and clear, and they took such great care of my two dogs—everything felt so easy and reassuring. They also sent me lots of photo updates, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely book with Jason again and highly recommend them!”

“Kiran and his dogs Mysti and Maya were great company for my 65 lb lab-pitt mix Dudley. Dudley would run to the door every morning waiting to go see them and return home in the evening satisfied and tired. Kiran is super friendly and considerate. I hurt my leg one evening, on my way home from work, and Kiran was kind enough to squeeze in one extra walk right before I retrieved Dudley to get him to poop so I wouldn’t have to with my bum leg. This is after he kept Dudley for a very long day. I highly recommend his services and am saving him to my « favorites » list. :) Thank you, Kiran!”

About: I love dogs and have had many of them, so I am excited to watch your dog! My entire family love to meet new dogs and make friends I work from home, and my son loves spending time with dogs when he is home in the evenings and weekends. I walk in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and feed on schedule. I take dogs out on leash and keep them in a secure, climate-controlled room when we must leave the house. I walk dogs at least 15 minutes every 4 hours.
“Evie had a wonderful stay! She absolutely loves Ms. Catherine. Catherine is such a thoughtful, organized, and loving sitter . We felt completely at ease knowing Evie was in her care. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable pet sitter!”

“We are beyond thrilled with the exceptional care our dog received from Sang and Hee Suk! From the moment we dropped our pup off we knew she was in Good hands. Our dachshund isn’t the easiest dog, she struggles with separation anxiety and confidence. Lucky for us, Sang and Hee Suk raised a dachshund for many years and so they were SUPER understanding and patient with our dogs needs. Communication was great— both before and during our dogs visit. We never once worried about her during our time away, knowing she was in such loving hands. Our pup came home happy, healthy, and calm, which is the best sign of a great experience. She is now currently passed out snoring next to me as I write this review lol. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, caring, and truly understands dogs, we highly recommend Sang and Hee Suk! We are so grateful to have found them :)”

“Susan is an experienced dog caregiver. She was prepared when I dropped off Toby for his first visit and she had another dog to introduce. Toby got a lot of exercise in just a few hours and she provided detailed feedback about his behavior upon pickup.”

“Millie enjoyed her first Rover.com experience with Mario who calmly coped with her initial separation anxiety and a couple of carpet mishaps. He kept us informed during the sit, including photos, and we felt comfortable leaving Millie with him. We're all looking forward to a return visit.”

About: I have had dogs since I was 12 years old. I currently have a lovely Samoyed and he is the best! Gets along with other dogs and it's super playful. There is a lot of green areas around my apt so it makes it easier to go on walks and play. Also, my dog is super friendly and makes a great pay partner!

“Ronnie took great care of our 14 month old hyper energetic puppy Ando! She even prepared a toys scavenger hunt game before we dropped our puppy off to keep him entertained. Ando had a great first daycare experience while we are away. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely leave our puppy with Ronnie again when we need to travel. Thank you so much for taking care of Ando!”

“Jennifer took wonderful care of my small little Yorkie and her dog Sunny was such a gentle playmate! I was so grateful to leave my dog in such a sweet, loving home and will definitely book again!”

Millie enjoyed her first Rover.com experience with Mario who calmly coped with her initial separation anxiety and a couple of carpet mishaps. He kept us informed during the sit, including photos, and we felt comfortable leaving Millie with him. We're all looking forward to a return visit.

Ron was wonderful with Jennie! This was our second doggie daycare with him and he made sure Jennie got plenty of run time in his backyard with the other dogs and also took her on a long walk in the park. He shared plenty of photos from her day with him and we could tell she had an engaging and fun day!

Michele was great. Very responsive. Made me feel comfortable leaving my dog son with her. I think he enjoyed it as well because when we left, he paused at the car as if he wanted to go back with her. I definitely look to booking her again real soon. She really seems to care for him just like I do.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
