“Fritz always has the best time with ManYee and Hannah. It’s a good feeling to see him run to the elevator with her, not even looking back. And I always know he’s in the best care possible!”

“Yichen is a great sitter! We had a meet and greet before our first stay so that she could get to know my dog better. I think thanks to that, my dog’s stay went smoothly the next day. I appreciate her flexibility and friendliness, and I can tell my dog enjoys her stays at her place. Yichen has a playful shih tzu named Ube that my dog loves playing with. Overall, Yichen is a 10/10 sitter!”

“Shelley was a great sitter. Last minute, a day before I needed a sitter, Shelley stepped up to help me. She has a house set up for the dogs she sits. Nice bed, toys and open space. Shelley also took my 5 month old Golden on 4 walks. That was awesome for active Golden Retriever.”

“Repeat client here! This is I think my fourth time dropping them off, whether for overnight or daytime care. Convenient location, big yard for the pups to run around in, and Cindy's children love the pups. She takes the time to make sure everyone can be comfortable with the initial visit. After that, it's a quick and easy drop off, always accompanied with a smile. Cindy's updates are more frequent than expected, and are appreciated, with photos! Thanks again :)”

“Solomon and his wife were great watching Charlie last minute for me! It was clear they were very attentive to him and want the best for your pet by asking a lot of questions to get to know them beforehand. Thank you, Solomon! I can tell Charlie had a good time :)”

“Peace could not have had more fun with Michelle and Cinnamon running around in their very spacious back yard. It was a rainy day, but Peace didn't want to come inside. Michelle did a great job communicating to me and made sure Peace was dry when I picked her up. I seriously haven't seen Peace so excited about a daycare visit.”

About: I’m a dog owner myself, so I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pet. I’m patient, attentive, affectionate, and happy to handle walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and lots of cuddles. I’ll treat your pup with the same love and care I give my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pup and give them lots of attention. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and pet sitting, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special routines. I’m patient and attentive, and I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your pup is doing.
“Loreen was really patient with Milo, who is a bit skittish around strangers. She took the time to get him acquainted with her house, yards and kids. She and the kids genuinely love Milo and she sent great pictures of his stay at her house. I’ll definitely use her again!”

“Fantastic time for my pup! We learned she loves cats and now has a new best friend! My dog was having fun being chased around the house by a cat. Catherine was super flexible and very attentive to Cami as well as her whole family.”

“Carla and her family are amazing with our pup (and all dogs). She is transparent with communication with frequent updates and pictures. She ensures a smooth pickup and dropoff as well even with busy schedules. Thanks for making our dog feel safe and loved!”

“Rachel was absolutely amazing!! I have used multiple different sitters and walkers on Rover and it’s still always hard not to worry when your fur baby is in someone else’s care but while my boy was with Rachel I had complete piece of mind. She is very knowledgeable and skilled with the care of dogs and I genuinely felt that my dog was safe while in her care. I 100% recommend her to anyone in need of help with their fur babies!”

“Angela took great care of my dog Ezra. She was super communicative and took the time to ask questions about Ezra's behaviors and habits. I highlt recommend her. You can tell that she really loves dogs.”

“LaurieBeth did such a wonderful job with my pup, Mocha! I dropped off Mocha for doggy day care for the first time and I so appreciated the photo updates to see how she was doing. LaurieBeth was very communicative and Mocha enjoyed her stay. We already can't wait for the next visit!”

“Jon and Johanna are great care providers. I felt totally confident with their help with my dog Enzo. They clearly love dogs, especially dachshunds and are very structured in keeping my dog engaged and active and involved with training and fun activities. I will definitely keep them in mind for future bookings. I really appreciate the help they gave me this week.”

“Excellent pet sitter. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we picked her up. Erika followed all the instructions, and came across as a kind and caring person.”

Solomon and his wife were great watching Charlie last minute for me! It was clear they were very attentive to him and want the best for your pet by asking a lot of questions to get to know them beforehand. Thank you, Solomon! I can tell Charlie had a good time :)

Aly is phenomenal! I had two long workdays back to back, so I needed someone I could completely trust with Cheeki, and Aly is always reliable. She sends lots of updates and pictures, keeps track of everything, and I always know Cheeki is in good hand! Cheeki has been anxious around other dogs lately, so I was a little nervous leaving her. When I mentioned my concerns, Aly was incredibly understanding, patient, and willing to work with her at her own pace. It ended up being a great experience for Cheeki, and I had complete peace of mind while I was at work. You can truly tell Aly loves dogs and treats them like her own. I’m so grateful for the care she gave Cheeki and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again :)))

Yichen is such a good care giver to my Fur baby WALL-E. She's been understanding and mindful of my babies needs. She shows dedication and time. Kept me updated with photos and also monitors with care. Her fur baby Ube is so caring and calm ( matching good energy). I would recommend Yichen to care for your fur baby.

Kaitlin and Yung have been wonderful puppy sitters. They are kind, reliable, and always very responsive, which gives me peace of mind whenever I need someone to watch my puppy. They genuinely care about him and take great care of him while I’m away. The best sign is that my puppy is always so excited to see them, and it’s clear he enjoys spending time with them. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable and caring pet sitters.

Jayara was AMAZING! As a new Rover User looking for a last minute urgent sitter for my 2 Poodles, Jayara was available and ready to help. She was very easy going, knowledgeable, and accomodating due to our late arrival to pick up our boys. I HIGHLY recommend Jayara! You won’t regret it.

Winnie is a professional dog sitter who did an amazing job with Lily. She kept us updated regularly on how our dog was doing, including details like walks, bathroom breaks, and overall behavior, which we really appreciated. She followed all the instructions we left and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear that Lily was well cared for and in great hands. Honestly, she’s the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be booking her again in the near future!

Loved that Brianna was able to take my request last minute. She was very flexible and communicative. Kai enjoyed his overnight stay and seemed very comfortable. I received updates and photos throughout his stay, which I really appreciated. When I picked him up, she even gave me a cute vision board she made with photos she took of him. It was so thoughtful and adorable. I will def book her again🐶💛

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Oakton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
