About: I've loved dogs my whole life and grew up caring for our family dog for over 15 years, from playful puppy years through his senior days. I'm hands-on and energetic — happy to run, wrestle, and get down and dirty when a dog wants to play hard, but just as ready to offer calm cuddles and gentle care when that's what they need. Your dog will get attentive, affectionate attention and a sitter who genuinely treats them like family. My wife and I both telework full time from home, which means someone is almost always around, so we're able to consistently keep a close eye on your dog throughout the entire day without ever leaving them alone for long stretches. In my home, pets have a comfortable, low-stress environment to settle into. I live in an end-unit townhouse with a private backyard, so they have a quiet, distraction-free space to lounge in the sun, sniff around, and relax. I love spending time with the pets in my care — whether that's joining them outside, playing, or a bit of gentle wrestling and roughhousing for the ones who enjoy it. I'm an active person, so daily exercise is never an issue. If your pet has a lot of energy to burn, I'm happy to take them on long walks or even a run to keep them happy and tired out. I'm also a big believer in routine. I like to keep my own day structured, which makes it easy for me to fold your pet's feeding, walk, potty, and rest schedule right into mine so they feel secure and their normal rhythm stays intact. Above all, I want every pet to feel safe, engaged, and at home while they're with me.

About: I have trained many dogs including the two I have now, a border collie and a mutt, who are currently on vacation. About: Having raised my three dogs since they were 6–8 weeks old, I treat them like family and work hard to give them their best lives. From homemade meals and dedicated schedules for attention and exercise, to soft carpets and peaceful background music (classical, jazz, and lofi), our home is entirely tailored to their comfort. I know every one of their quirks, and our nonverbal bond is so strong that a single look says everything. They are deeply sensitive, wonderful companions. This summer, I devoted much of my time to caring for my senior dog during his battle with heart cancer. Losing him has left an emptiness in my heart, and I am still finding my footing as I adjust to life without him. As I slowly return to my routine, one of my goals is to create a memorial that honors the beautiful life and bond we shared. Because I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, secure, and loved, I generally prefer drop-in visits where your dog can remain in the comfort of their own home and familiar environment. When my schedule allows, I can also welcome one dog at a time into my home for a few hours of day care. I am home throughout much of the day and available to provide attentive, compassionate care, provided it aligns with the needs and schedule of my two resident dogs, who remain my priority from dawn to dusk. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I strive to treat every dog as family by providing a calm, peaceful, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and cared for. I care for pets by including them in everyday life. I talk to them throughout the day, tell them about my plans, ask them questions, and engage with them as if we’re having a conversation. While they may not answer with words, I’ve found that dogs communicate so much through their expressions, body language, and presence. Whether I’m cooking in the kitchen, working in the yard, running errands nearby, or taking my laptop outside so they can enjoy fresh air and companionship, I’m always mindful of their needs. I regularly ask myself: Did they eat enough? Have they had enough outdoor time? Do they need more play, attention, or rest? My goal is to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and included throughout the day. When caring for a dog in their own home, I approach it the same way I do with my own dogs. If I had only a few hours between commitments, I would make sure they had fresh water, a potty break, exercise, a meal if needed, and some quality companionship before I left. Knowing their basic needs are met and that they are safe, content, and cared for is always my priority. When dogs visit my home, they enjoy a secure fenced yard, plenty of attention, and a calm, peaceful environment. If your dog is crate-trained, I can easily accommodate that, or I can provide a private room where they can relax comfortably between outdoor breaks and meals. To ensure the comfort and well-being of all dogs involved, I keep guest dogs separate from my two resident dogs. This allows everyone to enjoy a predictable, low-stress environment and receive individualized attention. We also enjoy neighborhood walks, which are typically around 15 minutes long, depending on the weather and your dog’s needs.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I've watched my neighbors, family, and others' pets, making sure they are getting the top-notch care they deserve! Animals have always been a constant in my life, and I can't remember a time I didn't have any pets around. I work to build a connection with every animal I work with so that they feel comfortable until their human returns home. I've cared for pets big and small, and will always make sure owners get the updates they deserve. I am very flexible in my schedule, as I am a current college student. I have plenty of time in my day to make sure your pet is well cared for! In my home, I have a fenced-in yard with a designated dog area. I have plenty of room inside and outside so that your furry friend will feel comfortable. As for my client's home, I will make sure to understand the rules and boundaries for any animals I am caring for.

About: Over the years I have taken care of many different kinds of animals including dogs and cats (of which I've owned two of each), guinea pigs, mice, and more! In my veterinary science classes, I learned a lot about the handling of dogs, cats, and small animals and got lots of hands-on experience working with dogs during weekly grooming days. Previously, I have worked in a dog hotel as a kennel assistant where I provided many different services for dogs including feeding, cleaning and walking. Along with this, I also often pet sit for my friends and family :D I have plenty of time to look after pets this summer. If anything pops up that will be communicated through messages or on my calendar 👍 I have experience working with a variety of tempers in dogs, cats, and other animals. I'm very patient with nervous/shy animals and can match a higher energy as well.
