“I can't recommend Zosha highly enough. I scheduled daily visits while we were on vacation for our cat Chloe to be given her medication and some love - and Zosha did such a great job at both! He went out of his way to give her plenty of affection and even treats on her puzzle toy. Everything was clean and left in great shape, Zosha was super communicative, and sent lots of pictures! Chloe is definitely a fan, and so are we. Thanks again, Zosha!”

Morgan was friendly, attentive, and professional in carrying out all the responsibilities we asked of her - from the meet and greet to each of the drop-in care/walking times we scheduled. She left detailed notes and pictures for us each time, giving us peace of mind our dog was being well cared for. We'll definitely plan to book care with Morgan again!”

About: I’ve had a dog of my own who will always hold a special place in my heart. 🐶💕 I’d love to give your pup the same love, attention, and care they deserve! I work full-time, but I live very close to home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to check in on your babies throughout the day. I’ll make sure they get regular walks, attention, and care while you’re away! I have two friendly cats who are happy to keep your pets company! 🐱💕 If your pet prefers their own space, I also have a spare bedroom where they can relax comfortably and have some quiet time. I’ll always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
“Nadia enjoyed her visits with Katrina! Katrina was very attentive to Nadia and spent time during each drop in visit to make sure Nadia received adequate care and attention. “Miria was absolutely AMAZING! We have a very shy cat and within a few days, Miria had managed to get Siri to accept pets from her! She was extremely responsive to any requests we had and generally did a fabulous job. Can’t recommend her highly enough.”

About: I love caring for all kinds of animals! 🐾 I’m comfortable looking after pets with all sorts of personalities, routines, and special needs. Whether it’s taking an energetic dog on a walk, giving a cat some much needed cuddles, keeping small pets fed and comfortable, or simply making sure an animal has company while their person is away, I’m happy to help! I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for. ❤️ I have time for work I’m looking to make enough money to move out of my parents house and be able to afford basic living expenses I spend a lot of time taking care of my pets. I walk the dogs, clean up their poop, I also feed them multiple times a day. I also spend several hours a day holding or cuddling my clingy cat and caring for her needs as well.

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a young child, and have a deep love for animals. I have two fur babies of my own: one since he was puppy and the other since he was 1. I trained them both, and especially offered additional support and love to my one dog who was a rescue after being a surrender. I have incredible patience, and offer a safe, healthy, and loving environment for your precious fur baby. I currently work from home full time so your fur baby will never be deprived of attention. I have lots of dog toys, 2 dogs who are wonderful with other dogs, so your pup will have lots of stimulation. We will be sure to go on plenty of walks to get fresh air and time outside. Although I do not have a fenced yard, your pup will not have to worry about getting time outside. We will take plenty of walks. My 2 dogs are very social and love to interact with other dogs. If I am coming into your home, I will follow all directions you provide, and ensure your fur baby feels comfortable.

About: Hello! For over three years I've been caring for my friends' dogs and cats, and honestly, it's one of my favorite things to do. Animals bring so much joy, and I want yours to feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I work from home, so your pet will have company all day. I live in a townhouse in a beautiful, leafy neighborhood with lots of nature, perfect for long walks and meeting friendly neighborhood dogs along the way. I don't have pets of my own, so yours gets my full attention. I offer boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, on weekdays and weekends with flexible hours. I can also pick up your pet if that makes life easier for you. Whether at my place or theirs, I'll keep their routine: meals on time, fresh water, play, and plenty of cuddles. You'll get photos and updates so you can relax and enjoy your time away. I'm French-born and bilingual, so your pet may come home understanding a little French. The accent is extra! I look forward to hearing from you! À bientôt! Working from home means your pet is never alone. I plan my day around walks, meals, and cuddles, and I'm available weekdays and weekends with flexible hours. Whether at my home or yours, I keep your pet's routine, follow your instructions, and keep things safe and secure. I send regular photos and updates so you always know they're happy and well.

I will do everything I can to make sure your pet is comfortable while I am taking care of them! Whatever you believe is best for them is what I will do!
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mantua
Alexis was wonderful! She took such great care of our two cats while we went out of town. She gave great, thorough daily updates with photos, and was very quick to respond to any messages/questions. Would absolutely recommend for pet sitting services!! Thank you so much, Alexis!

Ni is amazing and super thorough with all the visits! She sent us plenty of pictures, including pictures of tasks being completed so you get a peace of mind. She is very patient and so good with all of them, our cats loved her, including our skittish girl. We have 3 cats and some of the instructions are not as straightforward but Ni followed them perfectly! Will definitely book her again for our future trips ☺️

This was our first time using Rover and working with Morgan for our dog's care, and we couldn't have had a better experience. Morgan was friendly, attentive, and professional in carrying out all the responsibilities we asked of her - from the meet and greet to each of the drop-in care/walking times we scheduled. She left detailed notes and pictures for us each time, giving us peace of mind our dog was being well cared for. We'll definitely plan to book care with Morgan again!

Sonia was wonderful with our two cats! She visited them every day, fed them, cleaned up after them, and spent time playing with them. From the very first day, it was clear that she is experienced and genuinely cares about cats. They quickly felt comfortable around her, even our very shy cat came out to greet her almost immediately! Sonia is dependable, trustworthy, and highly recommended. We will absolutely book with her again!

Abby was simply wonderful. She visited our kitty, Sammie, twice a day to feed her. She and Sammie played, purred and took lots of pictures for us to see the smiles. She is so kind and caring and we felt great leaving our almost 16 year old kitty in her care while we were away. She went the extra mile and gathered some stray deliveries and mail for us. We cannot recommend her highly enough. Ten stars for Abby!

Katherine did an amazing job watching my two kittens! It was the first time I had left them, and I felt very reassured they were being cared for and were well loved while I was gone. I appreciated that her updates about her drop ins included information about their wellbeing (food, water, litter box, etc) as well as their behavior (playing, cuddling, etc.). I would definitely recommend booking Katherine for watching your pets!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
