“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: We have owned dogs all our lives and we truly think dog sitting should be done not by big boarding facilities but by loving and caring dog parents that have the experience of loving multiple dogs throughout their lives. My wife and I have had pets from 4 years old to now in our early thirties and we just used a home dog sitter for the first time. We were a little hesistant as this was our first time and it worked out perfectly. Seeing this work in action we both said this is the way a dog should be treated if their owners go away for vacation, so we decided to try to do the same things for our neighborhood. We treat all dogs like they are our own and will not disappoint anyone that books with us. Prior to sitting each dog, I send owners a few questions to learn more about their pup (e.g., Does your dog have health issues, behavioral issues, dietary restraints, etc.?). About: Hi there! I love animals and have been dog sitting since 2012! I myself have owned dogs growing up and adopted a cat named Albus in 2014! I also have experience with fish, bunnies, chickens, geckos, chameleons, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and frogs! Megan is THE BEST. She would send me pics of my cats and updated me everyday. She went above and beyond to clean up messes my cats made. I went out of town last minute and left their litter genie a mess which she went out of her way to clean and take care of. Would give 6 stars if possible. Will 200% be booking Megan again if I go out of town again.
Our experience was wonderful. Tricia was incredibly caring, attentive, and proactive. She asked thoughtful questions about my cat’s routine and preferences before I even had to mention them, which gave me a lot of confidence that she genuinely cared about providing the best care. She was also very communicative throughout the stay, keeping me updated and asking questions whenever she needed clarification instead of making assumptions. I really appreciated her attention to detail and how seriously she took my cat’s care. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate cat sitter.
Laleh took excellent care of our two cats while we were away! It gave us peace of mind to be able to leave our cats in our home where they are most comfortable and have her check in on them daily. She was communicative, always on time, and provided detailed photos and descriptions of her visits. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!
