“Like most puppy parents, choosing a sitter or daycare can be a daunting task. I have an 11 month old new rescue who LOVES to play with other dogs and love to run. I unfortunately don't have the luxury of a fenced in yard so I was looking for a place that offered a place where my dog can play and interact with other dogs. I looked at a few brick and mortar daycares around the Northern VA area (around Fairfax and Springfield, Burke) and found that a lot of them didn't have an outdoor space and the daycare was entirely inside. Many of the daycares also had a LOT of dogs at one time to one person supervising--which is not ideal and even the one I tried beforehand let me watch over webcam and I could tell the person was overwhelmed. We tried dog parks--but we know how that story goes. You never know what will come in to a dog park, and some owners are more responsible than others. So thus, we began our search and found Serena. Nestled on large plot of land with a fenced in yard, Serena has doggy heaven. There is a doggy door so that dogs can come in and out as they please. Serena herself is a delightful woman who you can tell is passionate about dogs. She loves them, all shapes, all sizes, she has an affection for each dog--can tell you all about each of her dogs that she cares for personality. She loves every one of them like her own. She is thoughtful and methodical when it comes to how she introduces the dogs to each other and screens dogs before she accepts them as clients. She sent pictures and video throughout the day and I knew my pup had the best time. This is a very long winded review but I am so thankful to have Serena close by to love and care for my pet. We can't wait for our next daycare adventure!”

Upon meeting her, she is warm, kind & welcoming. My adopted chocolate lab has separation anxiety, which has been getting worse. He becomes immensely anxious when I leave him and he can’t be left alone at all, or else he barks non-stop. He doesn’t love doggy daycare because it’s too many dogs, not enough human interaction and no outside time. “Christy is everything you would want your Rover host to be. Logistically she checked all the boxes living not too far from major highway I took to my office. Easy to drop off/pick up and get back on the highway again. She responded quickly when I made an inquiry about a weekly daycare hosting for my shy miniature poodle. She demonstrated kindness and patience when our Meet and Greet began later than scheduled. During his stay, Christy texted pictures of Blinky going on a long walk or playing in the backyard. Lovely family took very good care of him. On the second day, I dropped Blinky off, he rushed through the front door without looking back. To me that said a lot because Blinky was not a social butterfly by any stretch of imagination. I can whole heartily give Christy five stars, just for that alone!”

Michelle was especially great for my first time using Rover and Mangos first day care day. She helped me navigate and understand the app and the rules. Nina and Michael are amazing! Our pup Ollie boarded with them and went for daycare twice a week — it was truly the highlight of his week. When he first started, he was shy and a little unsure, but with their patient and caring approach, he gained so much confidence and really came out of his shell. They have a huge grassy backyard where the dogs can run and play, and Ollie absolutely loved spending time there with his buddies. He’d start wagging his tail the moment we pulled up! We always knew he was in great hands — Nina and Michael are attentive, trustworthy, and clearly love what they do. We’re so grateful for how much they’ve helped Ollie grow and for all the joy they brought him each week.
