About: I adopted my cat Albus as a kitten in 2014 when he was found in a box on the side of the road. He was dehydrated and covered in bugs. After getting him to the vet and nursing him back to health, he loves staying close by! He is about 12 years old and is now losing his eyesight but is still so playful. About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs.

About: I've cared for small and medium size dogs for 8+ years. I am well practiced at picking up on behavioral cues for how and if a dog wants to play or be left alone. I work from home as a consultant with a lot of flexibility during the week, so weekday middays are actually open rather than squeezed around something else. I'm looking after all kinds of dogs, from easy ones who just want their loop around the block to dogs who need a little more thought. My own dog is Buddy, a 70lb pittie who was very reactive towards people and animals. I've also fostered for Lost Dog and AARF in Baltimore, which meant a steady rotation of dogs showing up with almost no history, so you learn to read a dog quickly and adjust rather than run everyone through the same routine. Some of those fosters were reactive, on leash with other dogs or with strangers approaching, and a few were both. It's an area I am familiar with and I'm glad to take those dogs on. It also just made me a better walker generally. I pay attention to the small stuff, the ears and the pause, and I'd rather pick a calm route your dog actually enjoys than a scenic one that leaves them wound up. If your dog does better in a particular harness or with a specific setup, tell me and I'll use it! I used to pet sit here on Rover, and these days I stick to weekday walks and drop-ins close to home so I'm never rushing between neighborhoods. I've got a car, so rain doesn't change anything and I can get to a vet fast if I ever need to. I ask for a meet and greet for reactive dogs before every first booking. “We were so happy with our experience with Helena and Nathan! After another Rover cancelled on us last minute, they fit us in and truly saved the day! Their yard was amazing - especially for our 95 lb mutt who just loves to run. And our little old man loved the cozy beds around the house. They sent pics and videos every day and our boys came back happy and healthy. As a bonus, while we have noticed our dogs often come back from Rovers smelling like a kennel, after a weekend with Helena and Nathan they came back smelling great!”

“We highly recommend Erika! We started with a meet-and-greet, and both Wishbone and Jack warmed up to her immediately. Wishbone is usually very shy with new people, but he felt safe enough to sniff her and lick her leg right away. They just finished an overnight boarding stay at her house, and it was a wonderful experience. Erika kept her promise and sent us photo and video updates, which gave us great peace of mind. Both dogs looked completely relaxed and happy when we picked them up. We will definitely be booking Erika for boarding again”
