About: I adopted my cat Albus as a kitten in 2014 when he was found in a box on the side of the road. He was dehydrated and covered in bugs. After getting him to the vet and nursing him back to health, he loves staying close by! He is about 12 years old and is now losing his eyesight but is still so playful. After caring for Albus I decided to extend my help to other cat parents in 2023 after settling in Virginia. About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life. I’ve had all kinds of animals, from tiny dogs to big dogs, from social cats to the prickly don’t get too close to me types! I absolutely love animals and have been a vegetarian for 8 years. I currently have two dogs of my own, and often take care of my family’s senior dog (going strong at 16 due to the loving care!) I love going on long walks as well. I’m currently on summer break from teaching so I have a lot of free time on my hands to care for your furry or scaly friends and family! About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Let me know if you have any specific questions! Summers are the best time for bookings. Between semesters I have full time flexibility to accommodate a variety of bookings and locations. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. I live with roommates on campus, and alternate between living spaces when I am home, so having pets stay with me is not something I am able to accommodate at this time. About: I have owned big ,small and any where in between kind dogs all my life. I Have never went longer then a few months at a time with out having some type of fur baby in my life, whether it be my personal, family or friends pet that I immediately adopted as my own. I currently own two medium sized beagles who love everyone, big and small dogs alike and they love to play as they are still young and ready to destroy any toy they get a hold of. I have watched cats, dogs, and small animals be it reptiles or small fluffy animals and I cant forget to mention birds. “Our dog Stark loved his time at Shi's. Stark had some initial anxiety since we had recently moved and it was a new environment. Shi was great and was able to work with Stark to address and mitigate his anxiety. Stark also had a flare up with his skin allergies and Shi provided his meds while we were out of town. It was a relief knowing he was in good hands while we were on vacation and he was back to 100% when we picked him up. Would highly recommend and also their dog Jealous is awesome. Our pup loved his time there.”

Alyce and her husband, Rob, are exceptionally responsible and caring people who clearly take seriously their role and duties of caring for your pet. They hosted me and my pet at their home for a meet and greet (of them, their dog and us) that covered all relationships and questions regarding stay and care of our dog prior to either of us locking in the booking. During our pet’s stay with.Alyce, he received the very best personal care, was very well accommodated and Alyce went above and beyond to keep me posted with my pet’s integration into their family and how he was adapting to their home. All this gave me great confidence that he was being cared for and was totally comfortable with his time with them. Upon picking up my pet, Alyce took time to cover her impression of my pet and how he fared and about his daily adjustments. My pet was very happy upon my arrival and clearly had been cared for properly and with great attention and concern by Alyce.
