Sophia can care for
Availability
Pet care is an easy and natural fit for my daily routine. I currently have a very flexible schedule, with only one regular dog walk midday Monday–Thursday, which leaves me plenty of time to care for new clients. I love making space in my week to spend time with animals, whether that means daily walks, drop-ins, or longer house-sitting stays. I’m also committed to giving each pet my full attention and keeping owners updated so they always feel at ease while I’m with their pets.

Safety, trust & environment
I focus on caring for pets in their own homes so they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, from feeding schedules to favorite walking routes, to make sure they feel secure while their owners are away. With nervous or shy pets, I move at their pace — sometimes that means quiet companionship, and other times it’s lots of play and affection. During house-sitting stays, I keep the household running smoothly in addition to caring for the pets. I can look after multiple animals, including dogs, cats, small pets, and even fish. I always tidy up after myself, wash any dishes I use, and am happy to collect mail or take out the trash for longer visits. My goal is for owners to return home to happy, relaxed pets and a house just as they left it — or better.
Information Sophia P. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know each pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications they need. It’s also helpful to learn about their quirks — whether they’re nervous around strangers or other dogs, tend to pull on the leash, have favorite toys, or need a little extra patience. For cats, I like to know if they’re shy, outgoing, or somewhere in between so I can approach them in a way that feels safe. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for each pet.
A typical day
I like to match activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, that might mean neighborhood walks, playtime with their favorite toys, or practicing basic commands to keep them engaged. For cats, it could be wand toy games, laser pointer chases, or simply giving them space and companionship if that’s what they prefer. My goal is to make sure pets feel entertained, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away.

Calm, Caring, & Reliable Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
What sets me apart is the combination of lifelong experience, patience, and genuine love for animals of all ages and needs. I grew up with large breeds like Rottweilers, have cared for high-energy dogs like a Brittany Spaniel, and gave a retired greyhound the gentle, structured care she needed after life on the racetrack. I’ve also spent the past decade helping friends and family with their pets, which has given me experience with doodles, pit bulls, labs, Goldens, beagles, and many mixed breeds. I have a soft spot for senior pets and those with special needs. I’m comfortable giving medications, helping with mobility support, and providing calm companionship for pets with separation anxiety. I’m also confident with puppies and basic training commands — I helped train my family’s Brittany Spaniel, and I always reinforce good habits on walks. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own and adapt my care to meet their unique personality and comfort level.

Reviews

Once again, Sophie took great care of our cats while we were out of town!

Watched my cat Pepper while I was away and treated her very well. Pepper won’t want me to leave again but will be happy when Sophia returns when I do! 😄

Chiaro seemed happy when we got back.

Sophie is responsive to requests and communicated very well. She was accommodating for a kind of last minute request and also let me know how things went afterward. I was happy she was available to give my pup a midday trip outside and some nice attention too. She listened to everything I shared about Elli and her habits & was very comfortable. Thanks, Sophie!
