Elizabeth can care for
Availability
I have animals at home who need to be cared for at least twice per day, so it's part of my normal routine. I'm happy to add your pet to the mix as needed. My schedule can be pretty flexible.

About Elizabeth B.

Safety, trust & environment
I carry pet sitter insurance and am in the process of getting an NAPPS pet-sitting certification. Years ago, my own dog ran away (from a pet sitter, ironically, when I was on the West Coast). It was a nightmare, and I don't want anyone to ever go through that. (Our dog was found, safe, after 9 days on the run.). Because I know exactly how awful that is, I'm extra super careful with doors, leashes, cars, collars, etc.
Information Elizabeth B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any special needs or behaviors in advance — for example, if I need to keep your dog away from other dogs when on the leash, if they're an escape artist, a food hound or something else. Again, safe and happy is the goal for everyone involved (four-legged and two-legged).
A typical day
I love dogs and I'm happy to let them take the lead (to an extent). If your dog is chill and would rather go on a "sniff" than a fast-paced walk, that's ok! But if they love walking, I'm there for it, too. My primary goal is to keep your pet safe and happy.

Pet care experience
I've had dogs just about my entire life (since I was 2), including a variety of breeds, sizes and personalities. I've handled dogs who may try to escape, dogs who eat everything in sight — and better behaved ones, too. :) I also personally have an elderly cat and two Guinea pigs in addition to my own dog (a "shelter special" pit mix). I've also pet sit for fish and rabbits before.
Cat care experience

Elizabeth also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Beth was lovely and flexible. Our kitty is a bit shy, so she was playing peekaboo with Beth. But Beth totally tolled with the punches and kept our kitty safe, sound, and well-fed. Thank you for all your help!

Beth is great with my cats. She's very responsible and sends detailed updates on how they're doing when I'm away. I know they're in great hands.

Elizabeth is WONDERFUL! She’s watched my dogs a couple of times now and definitely goes above and beyond. My dogs are so comfortable with her and I know they are in good hands while I’m out of town. She’s our go-to sitter!

Beth did an amazing job as a cat and house sitter while we were on a two week trip. She sent us updates on how our kitty was doing and was great at communicating before, during and after our trip.
