“If you asked me to describe the perfect Rover experience it would be working with Ana. She was friendly and prompt with communication, provided great updates, followed instructions, and reached out when she had a question. Fantastic sitter.”

“Claudia did a fantastic job for taking care of my cat Bobbie during my five weeks away from home. She showed up on time and fed and cared for the cat as scheduled. She took the cuttest pictures and filed a report every day. I have never been away from my cat for so long and was apprehensive about the change of routines but Bobbie was well-fed and cared for as if nothing has happened when I returned. Claudia is a sweetest person and very responsive and accommodating. I am sure her training as vet assistant is instrumental in helping Bobbie making the adjustment. I cannot thank her enough and will definitely ask for her next time I am away.”

About: I had my first dog when I was 8 and ever since then I have always loved dogs and have never been without a dog until this year. All dogs make me extremely happy and I love to play with them. I’m very energetic and love to go for runs or do different activities with dogs. I also don’t have a problem with any other animals but I am just used to dealing with dogs. I have had a miniature schnauzer, pit bull, and a lab. My hours are pretty flexible but I do prefer the morning because I am a early bird. The only times I won’t be available are after 8 Expect for Wednesdays unless I’m house sitting depending on how long that will be. If you would like any more information please message me
“Lined is amazing, she takes sub great care of my baby while I’m gone!! She has great communication and noticed when my dog had a slight limp in his back leg! She’s always on time and incredibly kind:)”

“I was confident that our boy was in good hands with Steph! Loved seeing all the photos from each day, especially the ones of him getting some nice play time in. He was his happy normal self when we returned, and anything that was out of the ordinary was communicated to me prior to us returning. Thanks Steph!”

“Katelyn was great with our pups. When she stopped by she stayed with them for an hour and took a bunch of photos for us. She played with them and made us feel great about being away during the day and having her stop by. We will definitely use her services again in the future if/when we need them!”

“Katie is amazing! Super friendly and great with animals. She took care of my cat and bunny we couldn't be happier. My furry little dears loved when she came round and especially enjoyed the extra pets and play time she would have with them! When I need someone to watch my pets again I will definitely go with Katie.”

About: ***I am independently insured through PetCare for greater peace of mind while you’re away*** I've recently gone through a career switch from caring for humans (I was a registered nurse) to caring for animals last year. However, I have loved and cared for several personal and friend’s pets, to include cats, dogs, guinea pigs, birds, and reptiles, throughout my entire life. I hold a strong passion for advocating and caring for all beings with empathy, patience, and understanding. Since my career switch, I have experienced pets who need extra attention due to daily medications, reactivity, older age, anxiety, and helping to instill training (I am not a certified trainer) the clients are already teaching their pet(s) during my walks and/or pet sits. Dog walking and pet sitting is my full time job now. Whether you need a midday walk or need someone to care for your pets while you escape on vacation, I’m available for either service throughout the week, weekend, and some holidays. While I do not provide care in my home, I do travel to your pets while you’re away. My approach to caring for animals is with a lot of patience and respect. I’m happy to take it slow for each animal that may be a bit timid at first. I have a lot of experience personally and professionally working with animals who are timid, reactive, etc. For new clients, I like to have a meet/greet to go over care instructions before the pet sitting/walking dates. This gives us the opportunity to ask questions and discuss further what you can expect while you’re away. My goal is to provide care the way your pet is used to. I send daily updates/pictures/video to give you the reassurance that your pet is being loved on just the way you would if you were there.

“Miranda was able to accommodate me last minute before a short out of town trip for a few days and was available for a virtual meeting and she followed instructions I sent her through a Google Docs very well. She was so attentive, loving and patient with both my fur babies Suki and Lilith and I could tell from the Rover card pictures that my kitties felt so comfortable with her! She went above and beyond to give them treats and playtime and she was overall amazing. She was very communicative and flexible. I would book with her again and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to drop in on their cats while they’re away! Thank you tons, Miranda 🥰🐈⬛🐈⬛”

“Rachel is amazing!!! She handled my two very different dogs with ease. One is big with high energy and the other is little, cranky, and old. They loved her and she was in and out with no problem. She sent a bunch of photos and also kindly did this drop-in on a very last minute basis. I am relieved that the dogs are taken care of and so pleased with how extremely nice and professional Rachel was to speak with. Will definitely call again if we need more help. Thanks Rachel!”

About: I live on post at Fort Belvoir- yes base access. Hello friends! My name is Breanna and I have been working with dogs for 6 years. In 2018, fresh out of high school and not looking to work in fast food, I decided to take my love for dogs and turn it into a job. With a regular client base of 10, and 30 something here-and-there's, I was the top-dog in my small town. I could go into any pet related establishment and they'd know my name and what I offered. All of my business was from word of mouth. When I discovered Rover, I joined a bigger community of animal lovers. In 2022, I moved away from Rover to work in the doggy daycare business. After a PCS across the country here to Northern Virginia, I am now the manager at a different doggy daycare. The biggest thing I have noticed working in commercial pet care, is that not every dog needs a $50 trip to daycare. A lot of dogs I see are stressed out in the new environment, or taking the most expensive 6 hour nap. My goal is to be the person that comes along and gives you a personalized experience cultivated to your pets specific needs, and give your wallet a break as well. To offer a service that leaves you with a smile and your pup a wagging tail. I have experience with any breed you can think of, alongside basic medical care and dog training. I'm a jack-russell of all trades. I currently work 6:30-3pm most days, and my calendar will be accurately and timely updated. As mentioned, I do work full time. I also have three german shepherds at home that require a good amount of my attention. I do not offer boarding or pet sitting because of this. I request that you send me a text or leave a sheet of all your dogs do's & don't's. I have handled all types of behavioral issues, but I cannot accept any dog with aggression to people. I am well versed in dog body language and animal restraint, but I can't do that if your dog tries to go after me.
“Lenny is absolutely amazing! We just moved from overseas and I was worried my dogchild (he’s a senior) was going to have a problem bonding with a new sitter because he adored his last sitter. It’s safe to say he adores Lenny already and that’s such a relief. Lenny is such a great communicator and I love all the pictures taken daily. I couldn’t have picked a better person.”

“Jennifer was great with my cat, Ted! I appreciate her updates and that she came by before the service to grab the keys. Would book her again, and highly recommend her!!”

Lenny checked in with our two cats once a day for 2 weeks and we are so thankful for her. The girls seemed relaxed, well taken care of and happy when we got home. One day seemed a little tough on them and Lenny stayed way past her time to show them the love they needed. She kept us updated on everything and send lots of pictures which was much appreciated. Thank you so much!

I wish there were more than five stars! I contacted Isabella to take care of some feral cats I have been feeding as well as watering my gardens which I am very particular about while we are away for a week, In one word - FABULOUS. When I returned all the kitties were happy and the gardens were flourishing. Isabella has very kind, warm presentation which was so lovely and I felt completely relieved when I knew all these tasks would be in her caring hands. She even came back when I returned to drop off treats for the kitties and my dog (who came with us - which I thought was such a thoughtful gesture since she didn’t care for him). She also rolled out my trash cans and took in the mail which she voluntarily offered to do. I will absolutely reach out to her whenever I am in need of pet care (and/or garden care). She is just wonderful!
Angela has been an absolutely wonderful cat sitter. She is reliable, always punctual, and clearly genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. During every visit, she kept us updated with thoughtful messages and great pictures, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It was so reassuring to see our cat happy, comfortable, and well cared for in her hands. We truly appreciated her professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. We would highly recommend Angela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Juan was very kind and sweet with our cats. he came for a meet and greet as this was the first time he took care of our two cats. He even hand fed one their daily medicine as she's a little finicky. Would ask Juan to care for our cats again. This was our first time using Rover.

Frank was wonderful, again. Drawing out my cat when I swear he won't come out at all. And getting a great picture of Toulouse in Frank's shoes. Frank provides such great updates and photos, even when I'm gone just 36 hours. I know Toulouse is well looked after.

Esther-Elizabeth did such a great job taking care of my three kitties over the holiday! I have one kitty who needs insulin and one who is shy and she treated them like her own! I’m so glad I found her and would absolutely recommend her as someone who thinks of my pets as family and wants to make sure they’re in good hands. I also felt her rate was very reasonable for the care she provided.
