About: I owned a dog for most of my life. My dog sadly passed away after fifteen great years of happiness! I watch my friend's dogs when they go out of town because I'm usually always reliable and do most of my work inside my home. I am not lazy with taking dogs on walks and I care for pets like they are my own :) I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year old so I am always home to care for your loved one. We have a fenced backyard and lots of areas to walk. I can be flexible about what your pet needs. If you would prefer them in a crate at night I’d be happy to do that but usually I love having your pets roam around my townhouse and our fenced yard!
“My dog had an amazing time and I am so appreciative that he was able to accommodate my last minute booking. Absolutely loved the photos and videos, and the fast communication. Will definitely book again!”

“My pup had a great time at Russ's house! She came back super tired from playing with the other dogs. Russ sent me several updates throughout the day, which I really loved. Drop off and pick up was super easy- I will be using Russ again!”

“Awesome experience! Jason and Jeremy were wonderful and gave us piece of mind that our dog was having a great time as opposed to being locked up in a kennel all day. Thank you!”

“Hats off to Michael & Erin for a job well done. Mochi loves to hang out at their house and he actually cried when I drove off the other day💕 If you are looking for a loving, laid back approach on doggy daycare you won’t be disappointed!! Communication is great, they send pics and updates! BOOK THEM🫶🏼”

“Matthew hosts an excellent environment for any dog. The environment is clean, Matthew pays attention to the care of the animals, and communicates very well the activity of your pet. Highly recommended!”

“Perfect doggie daycare. Nicole and her team of family and dogs made sure my dog was well taken care of. Humans for my dogs' need for human interaction and affection and also dog interaction as she loves making friends. All these combined to make a great stay for my dog. When I got her home all she wanted to do was sleep which was perfect! Nicole is a very warm, and friendly woman who certainly cares about your pet. I would have no hesitation to book Nicole again if needed. Oh yea the treats she gives are home-made just for your dog which was over and beyond what I expected. I feel like if my dog had to choose between me and Nicole, Nicole would win hands down as I noticed when I drive up to Nicole's house my dog jets out to her door and when she opens immediately runs into the house haha A++ stay.”

“You guys were a life saver, I must admit I was a bit nervous as this was a first time using Rover. But Natalie and Bryce made me at ease for the moment we met. Now let’s get into Dutch :) we had a time getting in the truck as he was still trying to follow you guys!!! That tells me he really enjoyed the care you provided. Thank you thank you soooo much!! We would definitely use you guys again!!!!!!!”

“Christin took such wonderful care of Vinny! We received regular updates with messages and photos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. Vinny was clearly so happy and comfortable with her — they went on walks, and she was flexible with a later evening pickup. When we got him back, he was calm and relaxed, which is not something we experience very often. It was clear he felt safe, cared for, and truly enjoyed his time with Christin. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent care.”

“Brian and Andrew took great care of our girl! Our pup was a little nervous being in a new place, but Brian and Andrew were so patient and she quickly felt right at home! They sent lots of photos and updates. Their pup Naomi is so sweet and playful. We picked up a very happy girl! Our dog Twyla is excited for her next visit!”

About: I pride myself on offering personalized, dependable, and highly attentive pet care. What makes me different from other sitters is the combination of hands-on experience, patience, and a genuine love for animals. I’ve had many of my own pets and have taken care of my loved ones pets as well. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and quirks so they feel safe and understood. Whether it’s helping a puppy build good habits, supporting an older pet through a calm and consistent routine, or simply giving your pet extra love and attention while you’re away, I treat every animal like my own. I am recent law school graduate, currently studying for the BAR. I’m also not working, so I have free time to care for your pets! I provide pets with a safe, calm, and enriching environment in my one-bedroom apartment, which is ideal for animals who enjoy a cozy home setting and plenty of one-on-one attention. One of the biggest perks of my home is the large grassy area directly outside, giving dogs convenient access to frequent walks, potty breaks, playtime, and opportunities to burn off energy throughout the day.
About: Hello I'm a fellow dog owner. My Charlie is a 30 pound sheltie mix and gets along with everyone. He's super friendly so he'll get along with your dog. I work from home two days out of the week and I'm available on weekends for doggy daycare where they'll play in the backyard, get walks, I'll make sure they eat, and get enough water. I can do over night any day of the week as well. The days I work from home are Tuesdays and Fridays. If you have questions please feel free to ask. I'm very accommodating but obviously I do have concerns. I have two crates and two beds on my own they can used so you don't have to bring your own.
“Jenny did a wonderful job of taking care of Ringo. She is incredibly conscientious and caring. She pays attention to her charges and made provided pictures and updates on Ringo’s stay. Will be using in the future as well.”

Paula was an exceptional rover! I had a last minute daycare request the evening prior and she accommodated for an early drop off. She gave my dog tons of exercise throughout the day which Miley loves, sent pics, and even gave fitness stats of the walks. My dog seemed content and received a take home treat when i picked her up. I recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter!

Russ and Andra are excellent dog sitters! They are very reliable and treat our dog like one of their own. They always send cute pictures and videos of our pup running around, playing, and relaxing. Our pup Twyla has the best time when she visits Russ and Andra!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hybla Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
