“We really enjoyed our meet and greet with Matt. He was great with both my dogs and his background and understanding of dog behavior and dog training is very reassuring with my very anxious puppers!”

“Bella was fantastic! We contacted her last minute because we needed help with giving medication to one of our kitties. She was able to come same day. We did a video call and I walked her through everything. We definitely will be using her again and if we loved the photos she sent of the kitties. It was clear that she loves animals.”

“Steven did an incredible job taking care of our Siamese cat, Monroe. He was patient with her the first few days as she warmed up to him and then loved on her once she came around. The daily pictures and updates were appreciated and helped ease our mind during our two week trip. We will definitely book with him next time and will include our deaf and blind Great Dane. His love and care for animals is obvious. Thank you Steven!”

“Hilary was AWESOME. I would highly recommend her, reason being ... her thoughtfulness. Just before my sit started she informed me of something that could change my mind, instead of canceling I keep the booking and I'm glad I did. She came on time even though she could've came anytime that day, she played with Felix, fed him, kept me up to date on his antics (he's a bengal so he's full of them), she left the light on for him and the tv on cat tv so he wouldn't get bored. I would definitely book her again. Thanks Hilary.”

“Very kind and easy to work with. Even offered to help us with our move. Patty was always happy to see him and get some play time - and she’s usually a very shy cat!”

“Bria gave our senior dog Chesley her subcutaneous fluids while we were out of town so that we didn't have to worry about having an inexperienced sitter try to handle medical matters. Really appreciate her expertise and training.”

“Constanza was fantastic! She was incredibly reliable and so sweet with our kittens. she spent lots of time playing with them and sent us tons of great photos and updates while we were away. She was very thoughtful and responsive, and even helped bring in our packages while we were traveling. We felt completely at ease knowing our kittens were in such good hands and can’t wait to have her back to look after them again!”

“Meeka has been incredible for my golden retriever. She is amazing with him whether it’s a long walk, playing fetch, or giving him dinner while I’m at work. She is super flexible on the schedule. Couldn’t be more grateful to have found her!”

About: I have years of experience taking care of my own pets as well as family and friends pets. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and genuine care for every pet I look after. I treat each animal like my own and take the time to understand their routine, personality, and specific needs. I have experience with both puppies and senior pets, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training like potty routines and leash manners, as well as providing gentle, patient care for older pets who may need a slower pace or extra attention. I’m also very observant when it comes to behavior and health, and I always keep owners updated so you feel confident your pet is in good hands. I currently work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule, so caring for your pet fits easily into my day. I’m able to plan my time around feedings, walks, and visits, making sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel comfortable. Because of this flexibility, I can give each pet plenty of attention and not rush through my time with them. I treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment by giving them attention, patience, and companionship. I also keep the home clean and tidy—refreshing water, cleaning up after pets, and maintaining litter boxes or outdoor areas. I always provide regular updates and photos so you feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

Caitlyn did a wonderful job! She came before my trip to need Ophelia and learn what needed to be done and how to care for her. She showed up each evening on time and sent pictures , brought in package for me and let me know if anything was out of the norm! I highly recommend and will have her in the future!

Our cat Ella loved Elyse right away which doesn't always happen with new people. Elyse was very communicative , flexible, and so great to work with. She provided great updates while we were away which was really appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to book Elyse again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Washington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
