About: I’ve always had dogs and cats in the house. I have experience caring for both from birth to end of life. I can give medications, hand feed, clean incontinence/accidents, scoop and clean litter boxes, administer subcutaneous IV fluids, walk, play, and anything your baby may need. I will care for them as if they are my own and would love to spoil them. My schedule is semi-flexible as I work from home. I’m available afternoons and evenings. About: I’ve been passionate about animal science and animal welfare for as long as I can remember. I’m currently a veterinary technician at an animal hospital in the DC area. I’ve worked at the Smithsonian Zoo, NIH facilities, doggy daycare and boarding facilities, animal clinics, and a humane society shelter for birds, cats, dogs, rodents and reptiles. I will be applying for veterinary school this summer and I am currently in a Master’s program with a concentration in bioengineering. I’m currently working full-time at an animal hospital, including mornings on Saturday. I have two days during the week that I am off the clock. My shifts are from 7:30am to 6:00pm during the week and 7:30am to 12:00pm. I’ve used my experience in veterinary medicine and educational background (B.S. in animal science from UMD) to recognize animal behavior. I’ll know to understand your pets boundaries and behaviors when interacting with them in their home.
