About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m patient, dependable, and comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pet while you’re away. I’m active and enjoy walks, playtime, and keeping higher-energy dogs engaged, but I’m just as comfortable providing a calm environment for older or lower-energy dogs. I’m also comfortable reinforcing basic commands, routines, and good behavior with younger dogs. My goal is to follow the routine you’ve established and make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re with me. I currently work week days from about 830 to 330 and off weekends. I often work from home if needed. I am very flexible with coordinating care. I have a fenced yard that is great for your pets to play. My house is very open and spacious and very pet friendly. I am very flexible depending on your pets needs.
“Ja'Lynn came over to meet my puppy in advance for a meet and greet, which was nice as this was my first time booking for him as he is 3 months old. Ja'Lynn arrived early for the two shifts and provided photos. I would book her again.”

About: My name is Taylor and I am a veterinary technician servicing the DMV area. I have been working with dogs specifically since I was 15 and cats since I was 18. I personally have a cat and have had dogs in the past, and I understand the stress put on the importance of finding someone that you can trust to watch your animals while you are away. Safety is my upmost concern and as a veterinary technician and a groomer, I am very experienced in dog and cat care and would love to babysit your little angel! I can't wait to meet you and thanks for visiting my profile! I currently work from home so I have more than enough time to devote to your pet and their individual needs. My hours are not necessarily tied to a desk or computer either, so I am able to do walks freely throughout the day. Depending on the customers request, I am able to accommodate most housing accomodations. There is a room specifically designated in the house for the pet for the duration of the stay, which has toys, beds, food and water as well as a TV. it’s also a daybed for me as well so that I am able to stay in the room with your pet. My backyard is large and it’s open, however I will be keeping pers on-leash anytime they are outside.

“Kiara was am amazing dog-sitter for my crotchety old pup. She went above and beyond expectations, giving him lots of love and attention. She also worked hard to clean up after him and keep his area comfortable. We will definitely be hiring her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I had a golden growing up for 15 years and now have a dog of my own! I love going on long walks with dogs who need it, playing fetch, and giving lots of scritches and love! No dog is too small or too big for me. Happy to accommodate anything your pet needs! I’m currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I work in VA and living MD so I’m really all over the map. I would prefer any time after 3 but can also come in the mornings with enough heads up. I do not have a fenced in back yard but do have a nice trail to walk on and get some energy out. I also have a lead in the backyard to keep the dogs safe and not escape if they would like to roam freely. My coonhound has been just fine with the set up! I also have a crate if preferred. My dog is friendly with others and loves other dogs!

With a safe, comfortable home and a fully fenced yard with plenty of shade, your dog will have space to play, relax, and feel right at home. Our love for dogs means we provide personalized care, ensuring a happy, stress-free experience for both you and your furry friend! Pet care is at the heart of our daily routine! Our family of dedicated dog carers includes full-time and part-time workers, ensuring that someone is always home to give your pup the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s playtime in our fenced yard, cozy relaxation indoors, or supervised socialization, your dog will always have loving companionship and a safe, comfortable environment throughout the day. In our home, we follow a loving and consistent routine to ensure every pup feels safe, happy, and well-cared for. Each day includes morning walks—rain or shine—followed by feeding and plenty of outdoor playtime in our fenced yard. If it’s raining, we bring the fun inside with an assortment of safe dog toys and interactive play. In the afternoon, we head out for another walk, and if applicable, a trip to the doggy park for extra social time. Treat time is always a highlight, and in the evening, we wind down with a final walk before tucking your pup into bed with soothing music for a peaceful night’s sleep. If your dog is more of a lounger and loves to relax while watching TV, we’re happy to accommodate their favorite pastimes, too! Your dog becomes part of our routine—and part of our family.
“It was our first time using Rover and couldn’t have been happier with Jhonathan! He was extremely easy to contact and super patient with all our questions. He treated our cats like they were his own and when we needed to extend the services an extra 5 days, he didn’t hesitate to accept the new contract time. Being new to VA, it’s such a relief to have someone in the area we can trust to watch our cats while we’re away. Will absolutely use him again the next time we are out of town!”

About: Three dogs, three personalities, three very different experiences. I’ve raised and cared for three dogs from puppyhood through adulthood: Nova, an American Cocker Spaniel, Ansel, a Rottweiler, and Coco, a Chocolate Lab. That experience has taught me how to work with dogs of different sizes, energy levels, temperaments, and needs. I know every pup is different, and I believe their care should be too. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a potty break, some playtime, or simply a little company while you’re away, I’m here to make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. Although I have a regular job, pet care fits naturally into my schedule. I’m available during my off-hours for walks and drop-in visits, allowing me to give your pup quality time and attention while you’re away. I value reliability, consistency, and making every visit a positive experience for your dog. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I give my own three dogs. I make sure my dogs get regular exercise, playtime, attention, mental stimulation, fresh water, and a consistent routine. I also pay close attention to their individual personalities and needs. When caring for your pet, I’ll follow their normal routine and your instructions closely, prioritize their safety, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“This was my very first time using Rover, and choosing this Star Sitter was one of the best decisions I could have made for Marley and Mocha! I interviewed three different sitters, but the moment she walked into my home, sat down with me, and I watched how naturally she engaged with Marley and Mocha, I immediately felt at ease. There was something about her energy, attentiveness, and genuine love for my pups that gave me the reassurance I needed to leave them in her care. I was away for five days and received consistent updates and follow-ups throughout my trip. I never had to wonder how Marley and Mocha were doing because she kept me informed and made sure I knew they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. And the true confirmation came when I returned home — especially with Mocha! She was actually looking around for her “Auntie!” That told me everything I needed to know. ❤️ I HIGHLY recommend her. When she says she cares for your pups so that “YOU CAN RELAX,” she absolutely means it. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing my babies were in loving, capable, and trustworthy hands. Thank you, QUEEN!!!!! 👑 You have officially become Auntie to Marley and Mocha, and we will definitely see you again soon!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Piscataway
Emoni was been amazing. My daughter was unexpectedly hospitalized for a week and we needed someone to care for her high energy 2 year old Belgian Malinois who was not happy to be left alone. She did a great job managing his exuberance, as he is a handful. (If it had been me, I would have quit!) Not only did she feed him and play with him in the yard, she even went so far as to move things in the house that he was getting into. She truly went above and beyond. It was a such a relief to have her there and not have to worry. I definitely recommend her and will use her again.
Caitlyn did a wonderful job! She came before my trip to need Ophelia and learn what needed to be done and how to care for her. She showed up each evening on time and sent pictures , brought in package for me and let me know if anything was out of the norm! I highly recommend and will have her in the future!

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
