About: I’ve been passionate about animal science and animal welfare for as long as I can remember. I’m currently a veterinary technician at an animal hospital in the DC area. I’ve worked at the Smithsonian Zoo, NIH facilities, doggy daycare and boarding facilities, animal clinics, and a humane society shelter for birds, cats, dogs, rodents and reptiles. I will be applying for veterinary school this summer and I am currently in a Master’s program with a concentration in bioengineering. I’m currently working full-time at an animal hospital, including mornings on Saturday. I have two days during the week that I am off the clock. My shifts are from 7:30am to 6:00pm during the week and 7:30am to 12:00pm.
