About: I used to work at Felix and Oscar so if you need any food recommendations, i’m your girl! I also have walked dogs for about 2 years as well as overnight care and drop ins. I just graduated from James Madison University and I am working a part time job so I am available to work mornings and afternoons as well! About: Fairly new to Rover but not to dog sitting!!! Previous Yorkie and Rottweiler owner. I have cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Looking for new families to support and doggies to play with! I work fully remote from home, which means I am the perfect victim for someone's fur baby who needs constant attention and cuddles!! About: My older brother used to breed South African Mastiff’s and train different breeds. Claudia was amazing! This was our first time using Rover or any type of pet sitting service. At first I was slightly nervous as I knew our cats are somewhat shy and I didn’t exactly know what to expect. Claudia eased all my concerns! If you need a catsitter, make sure it's Jackie! She came highly recommended by another repeat client whom I know personally. I get anxious leaving my "velcro kitty" alone, but from the moment I met Jackie I knew my girl was in good hands. Jackie sent thoughtful updates with the sweetest photos. She went above and beyond in caring for my cat, and we're incredibly grateful! But don't just take my word, trust my cat's review. She crawled into Jackie's lap during her very first visit and parked there for each subsequent visit!
Sweta saved us last minute by spending time with Sunny while we were in Alexandria. Sunny needs companionship and doesn't like to be alone, and Sweta spent time with him, gave him a walk and kept us updated. She's very responsive and helpful. Leaving my dogs behind while out of town for six days was a first for me, so I was naturally pretty nervous going into the process. I interviewed several people before meeting Velkin in person. My girlfriend and I hosted her for a meet and greet, and her genuine, welcoming presence stood out immediately. There was nothing fake or performative about her. She has the kind of ground-level authenticity that puts you at ease right away. My Chihuahuas took to her immediately as well, which said everything. If you know anything about Chihuahuas, they do not warm up to strangers quickly, if at all. Hiring her was an easy decision, and she did not disappoint. She came by twice a day to handle feeding, water, outdoor time, and spending quality time with them. Beyond basic care, she treated my dogs like her own. I received regular photos and detailed updates after her visits, giving me complete peace of mind. I also felt totally comfortable giving her unfettered access to my home while I was away. On top of everything, she was remarkably flexible. When I came home a day early, she was gracious enough to modify the booking and remove that final day. Since she had reserved that slot for me, it would have been completely fair for her to charge for the full six days, so that gesture was unexpected and extremely kind. Velkin did a phenomenal job, and I have zero regrets about hiring her. She provides world class service, and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
