“Claudia has been amazing with Daisy! It’s so nice to know someone is stopping in to check on her while I’m at work and Daisy appreciates the extra attention. Daisy gets so excited whenever Claudia walks in the door and we’re grateful someone loves our fur baby as much as we do!”

“Samantha was amazing with my cat! I had an emergency because there was a fire alarm in my building and I panicked about my cat’s safety. I called Samantha and she immediately replied and stopped by to check in on my kitty after the regular daily visit. She made sure that he was ok and told me that the alarm was in the building next to mine. I was so relieved and so thankful to her for going the extra mile in this situation!!! She even offered to bring my cat to her place if necessary, which I really appreciated.”
“Eric was very thorough with his communication prior to his stay - he checked in regarding details of of their behavior as well as their likes/dislikes. His Rover card also included helpful details and pictures of the stay. Will definitely be asking him to watch my dogs again!”
“We were out of the country with no cell access and Andy watched our little kitty. Everything went well. Despite us being unreachable, she sent updates and photos from each visit and I know our kitty enjoyed having her. Everything looked great when we got home.”

“Olena took care of my kitties during two very busy weekends. I came home both weekends to kitties who were relaxed and happy. It is so nice that my kitties have a relationship with her now and they come out to visit with her when she is here.”

“Ian was great with my young, energetic puppy during the meet and greet. He worked to reinforce behaviors that we are training, such as no jumping. He arrived for my pups visit on time, followed all directions, and left a tired and happy dog! I am so glad to have found him for our dog care needs!”

About: My wife and I are around the house most of the time. One of us will almost always be home. We have a large fenced yard with room to run and explore, a deck, and a patio for lounging or sunbathing. Always look forward to meeting new dog friends. I’ll take good care of your furry family members and keep them happy. I am 54 years old and have been a lifetime dog owner and foster home for dogs. We have adopted two Bassett Hounds (spayed & neutered) who would enjoy the four-legged company. I work from home, which allows me to be home with the dogs i sit. If I have to run some errands my wife will be here. We do have the occasional family outing, but limit the time we are away. I have a large fenced backyard to run and play in, a large couch to sleep on, and two Bassett hounds to play with. I am experienced with giving medications and special care needs.
“Robin has become Auntie Robin to our cat Maui? Not only did Maui get amazing care from Robin but he made a new friend! We feel so blessed that we picked Robin on the Rover app. She was a perfect fit! For once we could go on our vacation and not worry about our baby being neglected. My only wish was that I had discovered Rover (and Robin) sooner. The peace of mind we got from having someone like Robin come every day was mind blowing. Not only did she do the regulars (feeding, replenishing water, scooping litter) but she also brought in our mail and packages and took the time to connect with Maui through daily play and grooming. He got the full spa treatment! Robin sent us the cutest videos because she knew how much we missed our pet. She even fully cleaned out the litter box (I had just asked her to scoop)! Robin A. is trustworthy, gentle, and full of love. She truly is the best pet sitter you could ever find and we will continue using her for every trip. Thanks Rover for letting us find Auntie Robin???”

“Lucy was fantastic with my 3 dogs! I had her do a 30 min check-in mid day while I was at work, and she kept in touch with me while at the house, played with my kiddos and sent me pictures. The dogs loooove her! I will definitely book more time with Lucy for my dogs!”

“Dominique was fantastic. She sent clarifying questions to ensure that she knew exactly what we wanted prior to the start of her visits and send pictures while we were gone. We were very happy with her services and will be using her again.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had my own, as well as cared for friends’ pets. I also worked as a dog walker (prior to the existence of Rover) and at a doggy daycare. I absolutely love dogs and would like to give your dog the care they deserve! I work from home and have flexibility with my schedule, so I can do drop-in visits and/or dog walking throughout the day, every day of the week. I am very flexible, depending on the needs and requests for each pet. If there are any allergies, behavioral tendencies that I should be aware of, please let me know.
About: I've taken care of my own cats and dogs and for friends/family my whole life. Pets bring joy to me. Experienced with senior care, but not with puppies training. I work 6:30-15:00, Mon-Fri. My office is 5 miles from the apartment. When I have my own pets, I walk them at 4:45 and 6:00 prior to leaving. I take 1 hours lunch break around 11:30 to come home to walk my pets and have lunch with them. I come home around 15:30 to walk them again. My pets love their 17:00 dog social at nearby dog park. I spend the evening working out and cooking with my pets by my side. Walk once again before bed around 20:00. Repeat again around 4:45 next day. Generally, pets can enter any rooms, but I have a gate to fence off certain area, as needed. I shared custody of 2 female dogs with my ex spouse, they are with me a few days a week, they are 5 and 9 years old. They are gentle and wonderful companion to human and other dogs. I will accommodate to not having my dogs around for cat boarding.
About: I have taken care of friends, colleagues and neighbors pets over the past 20 years. Some of my residents would not trust their pets to anyone else (so I was told). Pet care would fit into my daily or weekly routine just nicely at this time. I was laid off recently and what better ways to spend my days than with animals. I have two big dogs and a cat but my daughter lives with me so I can come and care for your pets in your home while my pets are taken care of by my daughter.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rose Hill
Great communication, kind to people and pets. We had to last minute change our trip dates due to a pet injury. Scotty was still able to accommodate us and took great care of our injured dog and two cats. His prompt communication, flexibility, and compassion towards our dog was much appreciated Thanks so much!

Jackie was a delight to work with, as always! When I had forgotten to confirm an important booking detail, Jackie reached out to proactively ensure she had all the necessary information and went above and beyond to make sure our cat got the care she needed on time. She also sends the sweetest photos, and our cat adores her.

Repeat customers here! Olivia is the absolute best. Our dog loves her, she is timely, thoughtful, has experience with dogs who have more behavioral challenges, and I trust her completely with our dog. Our dog already can’t wait for the next time she gets to see Olivia!

Overall the best person I've found to watch my three cats so far! Very reliable and considerate with the times we agree on prior. Additionally, Debra has gone out of her way to make extra visits that were not requested simply because she was already nearby. Clearly loves animals. Very thankful for her help and fully recommend to anyone looking for someone to watch their cats.
Julianne was a diligent, confident, and thoughtful dog sitter for my dog Terra. I felt completely at ease knowing Terra was being well taken care of. My dog can be fearful and reactive but Julianne was calm and professional, and Terra was safe and happy the whole time I was away! Will book Julianne again and highly recommend her service!

We had a great meet and greet! Jenna was friendly, responsive, and clearly has a good understanding of cat behavior. She asked all the right questions and was thoughtful about learning Fifi’s routine and needs. I really appreciated her attention to detail and feel confident she will take great care of Fifi!

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
