About: I have been a high school teacher for 26 years. I dog-sit for my friends and sister all the time, and even for my friend's cat sometimes too! I also used to dog-sit for my parents' dog for 2-3 months while they were away over the winters, but unfortunately Mollie passed away a few years ago. She was 17 and we spoiled her! I grew up with dogs (poodles) and I love animals so I thought this would be a fun way to earn extra money! I really enjoy dog sitting, and have been doing this for about 9 years now and I look forward to meeting your pup! I work full time and am away from my home from 7:15-3:30 during the week. Weekends I am either home or in and out throughout the day, but have plenty of time in the evenings or on the weekends to go for long walks with the dog or even a hike if they are up for it! I usually take the dogs for about 3-4 walks a day, usually at least one longer walk! I also can relax and sit on the couch with the dog too, and give lots of belly rubs, of course!

About: I have almost 30 years of experience taking care of pets, from mostly dogs, to gerbils, to fish, to rabbits, and even cats. About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.

“I don't even know where to begin, but Jackie has been such an absolute BLESSING during a very tumultuous time where I have not been able to walk my dog, Sadie, due to having leg surgery and needing someone short notice. Never would I have thought that I would find my dog's godmother, but HERE WE ARE! Jackie is incredible with Sadie and Sadie is IN LOVE with Jackie. I used to work in vets myself and can feel Jackie's empathetic and beautiful nature when it comes to pets, and even my little demon hobbit cat loves her too and he is hard to please. Jackie is also aware of any inconsistencies with Sadie's behavior, potty breaks and has even checked for ticks as the spring gets nuts with those terrible creatures. We are going to be so sad that she won't be coming 3 times a day anymore, but Jackie has become an actual friend and Sadie and I plan to have visits. There is no way Sadie cannot be in Jackie's life and Jackie has expressed the same. We seriously love her so much and will still book with her when needed in the future. He was well taken care of and she would provide daily updates and pictures. She also was super flexible when our plane was so late we had to pick him up the next day. “Dan boarded my niece's beagle and my lab mutt over Christmas week, and I couldn't be happier for how the pups got to spend their holiday. As a former dog owner, their home and yard is very dog friendly, and it was clear they enjoyed the stay and the attention they were able to constantly coax out of Dan and his daughters. They were even able to relax and hang out with the resident cat. I highly recommend Dan if you need to board your dog for any reason.”

“Just an awesome person to leave your fur-kid with! I received regular updates and pictures of Xena as well as good feed back for some concerns that I had. Aisha was able to make an accommodation for me based on my busy schedule and this is something that most would not have done and I appreciated it. The location is great because there is a huge grassy area right outside the door. In the end I even received a handwritten card thanking me for using her service! I highly recommend Aisha”
