I work a flexible hybrid schedule, which makes me ideal for pet parents needing drop-in walks, home visits, or house sitting. I know that boarding facilities aren't right for every pet, so I'm happy to care for yours in the comfort of their own home. With experience handling reactive and special-needs pets, I understand when staying in a familiar environment is the best choice. While you're away, I'll keep your pet's routine consistent and ensure they feel safe and comfortable. I keep my calendar updated to reflect my in-office days. I'm typically available on weekends and weekday daytime hours. If you're facing a long workday, a busy weekend, or are concerned about leaving your pet alone for extended periods, I'm happy to help with check-ins and care as needed. I work from home most of the time, which means I have wonderful flexibility to spend quality time with your pup! I'm especially available for late morning and midday visits, so your dog will never have to wait too long between potty breaks, meals, or playtime. I am usually in the office on Wednesdays but I aim to keep my calendar as updated as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I'm naturally cautious and attentive, always thinking ahead to prevent any potential issues before they happen. I've received training in dog body language, so I can usually quickly pick up on when a pup needs space, comfort, or extra playtime. My own reactive, special needs dog has been an incredible teacher. I've learned to be especially mindful during walks and around other people or dogs. I also know that dogs pick up on our energy, so I aim to stay calm and composed in every situation to help your pup feel secure and relaxed.

About: Lifelong experience with dogs and I currently have two 5 year-old cockapoos who I got as puppies. I’m open to caring for any and all pets and all age ranges. I work from home full-time with a flexible schedule that allows me to flex time during the day to meet your pet’s needs. I sometimes travel for work but other than that I’m available and flexible. I have a small fenced-in yard and live in a one-level spacious condominium. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and there’s plenty of paths and trails to walk around in the neighborhood.

About: I decided to start working full time again, but have built a great client base over the past year. I have truly enjoyed every dog I have watched. I purely do it because I love the dogs and so does the rest of my family! So if you need a weekend sitter or are okay with me being out of the house during the week, please contact me! I have been pet sitting on Rover since July 2021. I have 11+years experience as a dog owner as an adult. I had a family dog growing up as well. I have also watched friends dogs in my home. I previously volunteered at the fairfax county animal shelter to walk dogs and play with them. Starting 12 September I will be working full time out of the home for about 9 hrs. If your dog can be alone for that long, than I would love to watch your pet. I am also available weekends. I have a small fenced in yard that is paved. However, the neighborhood has green areas and sidewalks to take the dogs on walks. I’m an active person so I can take your dog on walks as often as you request. My two kids love animals, but I am strict about how they play with them and I will not leave them unattended with your pet. Your pet will have free range of the home or if you prefer they can be crated if I have to leave the house.

About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.

About: I've lived with dogs of different breeds and sizes and ages my entire life. My favorite thing is to make them feel loved by giving them the care they deserve. I am a college student trying to discover what my passion is. I love dogs and want to expose myself to this field of experience. As a dog lover, I understand an owner's concern for their dog's safety and happiness. My goal is to alleviate these concerns and to ensure their dog is well taken care of so they can take care of their obligation without stress over their pets.

About: Previous Yorkie and Rottweiler owner (one has passed, and one is with my parents). I have cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Looking for new families to support and doggies to play with! I work fully remote from home, which means I am the perfect victim for someone's fur baby who needs constant attention and cuddles!! My schedule is pretty flexible, and so I can easily accommodate walks, potty breaks, boarding, and play sessions. Because I'm home majority of the week, I am more than happy to provide some relief to where your pet will have some structure and interaction while you're away. A pet's safety and comfort is my top priority and if there is a preferred routine by the owner, I have always been told I follow directions very well! About: I’m gentle, caring, and dependable. I love animals, follow instructions carefully, and am eager to gain hands-on pet care experience while earning money during summer break from college. I’m currently a student in college and am on my summer break until late August! This leaves me with plenty of time to look after pups and pick up shifts, so I have a very flexible schedule. I currently don’t own any pets but am open to welcoming them for brief stays if needed! I am also very good at following directions, so I would be happy to care for pets as needed in their own space.
