About: For over 24 years, our dogs have been more than pets — they’ve been family. We’ve cared for two beloved dogs, including one with special needs and epilepsy, which gave us firsthand experience administering daily medication and responding calmly during emergency situations. We understand the patience, attention, and love that special-needs pets require because we’ve lived it ourselves. We know how hard it can be to trust someone else with your animal, and that’s why we care for every dog as if they were our own — with compassion, safety, and the same love we gave our own family pets. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine because my husband works remotely and is home throughout the day. During the summer, our teenage son is also home and enjoys helping with walks, playtime, and attention. With someone almost always home, dogs receive consistent care, companionship, and plenty of love. We care for pets like they are part of the family. In our home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervised playtime, regular potty breaks, walks, feeding on their normal schedule, and a safe, comfortable environment. About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.

About: Fairly new to Rover but not to dog sitting!!! Previous Yorkie and Rottweiler owner. I have cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Looking for new families to support and doggies to play with! I work fully remote from home, which means I am the perfect victim for someone's fur baby who needs constant attention and cuddles!! About: I’m gentle, caring, and dependable. I love animals, follow instructions carefully, and am eager to gain hands-on pet care experience while earning money during summer break from college. I’m currently a student in college and am on my summer break until late August! This leaves me with plenty of time to look after pups and pick up shifts, so I have a very flexible schedule. Steve is the best. Our slightly special needs rescue needs a gentle but confident hand, and Steve is great with him. He makes sure our old boy gets his medication and food (which he can be quite uncooperative about) and he always takes him on the best walks. We’ve used Steve for boarding and drop-in visits/walks in our home. We know we can trust that he’ll take care of Riley just like we would (or maybe even better!) He’s reliable, communicative, and always sends great pictures, so you’ll always know how well things are going with your furbaby while you’re away!
I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want Tara all to ourselves! It’s very difficult to find a quality/trust worthy dog walker these days, but Tara is surely both! She is extremely detail oriented and follows instructions to a T. She sends TONS of pics and videos with a detailed report card about the visit. It’s clear my pups adore her. They usually take a little while to warm up to strangers but it was love at first site with Tara! She also left the most thoughtful card and puppy cookies. Excited to use her for more walks/visits in the future!

I don't even know where to begin, but Jackie has been such an absolute BLESSING during a very tumultuous time where I have not been able to walk my dog, Sadie, due to having leg surgery and needing someone short notice. Never would I have thought that I would find my dog's godmother, but HERE WE ARE! Jackie is incredible with Sadie and Sadie is IN LOVE with Jackie. I used to work in vets myself and can feel Jackie's empathetic and beautiful nature when it comes to pets, and even my little demon hobbit cat loves her too and he is hard to please. Jackie is also aware of any inconsistencies with Sadie's behavior, potty breaks and has even checked for ticks as the spring gets nuts with those terrible creatures. We are going to be so sad that she won't be coming 3 times a day anymore, but Jackie has become an actual friend and Sadie and I plan to have visits. There is no way Sadie cannot be in Jackie's life and Jackie has expressed the same. We seriously love her so much and will still book with her when needed in the future. You could not be in better hands than with Jackie and I have trust issues lol. She is the VERY BEST <3
