“We recently hired Carlos to take care of our Bichon mix “Gus” while on vacation in FL. Gus is five years old and we've had him since he was 10 weeks and he has never stayed with anyone other than family or close friends. Therefore, we were a bit nervous about leaving Gus with a stranger. Well Carlos was amazing! We cannot say enough good things about the way he not only took care of Gus but also reassured us on a daily basis through photos and detailed texts how great Gus was doing. What a relief! Gus interacted very well with Carlos’s dog as well as a couple of small dogs that came and went during Gus’s fun stay. We highly recommend Carlos and look forward to letting Gus camp out with him again! What a great decision we made to use Carlos!”

“I wish I had found Dana 3 years ago when I moved back to the area! She recently watched my cat, Lily, for two weeks in her home while we were out of town. She did not bat an eyelash when, after we made the booking, I called to tell her lily was just diagnosed with lymphoma - and with that came new meds, a vet visit, and watching for signs of worsening symptoms while she would be in her care. About: I was a devoted dog mom to my Pomeranian mix, Bear, for 12 wonderful years and have been caring for pets through Rover since 2023. I’m very comfortable caring for dogs, including those with health conditions that require patience, consistency, and extra attention. My husband, Michael, grew up with dogs and helps care for pups during their stay when he’s not working. We enjoy walks, playtime, and most importantly following your dog’s routine to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I work from the office; however, my husband or a trusted family member is usually home, so your dog is not left alone while I’m away. About: Lifelong experience with dogs and I currently have two 5 year-old cockapoos who I got as puppies. I’m open to caring for any and all pets and all age ranges. Your pet will have free range of the home or if you prefer they can be crated if I have to leave the house.

About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.

“Emanuel was great and my dog, Ruben, had a great time at his house playing with other dogs. Ruben has clear markers for anxiety, so when we picked him up we were on the look out to see if he'd been stressed. Ruben was happy to see us, but also clearly very happy and comfortable with Emanuel. Back at home Ruben is happy and is not showing any of his anxiety markers, indicating to me that he felt safe and comfortable while we were away. He also came back freshly bathed and his bed had been cleaned too.”
