I have cared for pets as long as I can remember, and I have a deep affection for all animals. I am comfortable caring for animals with all kinds of temperaments, including large and small leash reactive dogs and nervous cats. I also have experience giving medications, including shots. My cat Ollie had diabetes, which required daily insulin injections, so I am comfortable with this level of care. My dog Gizmo is a leash reactive dog. I've learned a great deal about doggy body language and putting him, and others around him, in the best situations while on walks. I have completed many hours of leash reactive training as well. I confidently use proven techniques, including clicker training and positive reinforcement, to defuse stressful situations during walks. I also know the best ways to avoid potentially difficult scenarios before they occur. I focus on creating positive experiences for all animals in my care as this consistency builds trust and can improve behavior over time.
