Availability
I am currently a part-time dental hygienist, available to care for your dog 4 days of the week (Thursday through Sunday)! We recently lost our family dog quite unexpectedly, and we are really missing having a canine companion for cuddles and walks!

I am available to watch your dog at your home for drop-in visits or walks and at my home for daycare or short-term boarding. I live in a townhouse with a small fenced yard, including some grass. There are no other animals living in the house, but I do have 2 daughters (ages 4 and 7). As such, your dog must be good with children, as well as my husband!

Information Maren B. would like to know about your pet
I would first love to know your dog's general temperament - calm, lazy, active, spastic, anxious, etc. and if they are good with kids! They must be good with kids and have all required vaccines. Also, does your dog have any behavioral issues (separation anxiety, chewing, accidents, grabbing food) and any triggers? Good with men (i.e. my husband)? How is he/she on walks? Can he/she be left alone for an hour or two (and do we need to crate?)? Does your dog take any medications? How can I help make the experience better for everyone?
A typical day
I love to take the dogs for walks around my neighborhood and sometimes we might go down to the path along Lake Royal! The dogs also have access to my fenced-in backyard for play-time (fetch, tug of war, etc.). In addition to all the activity, there will be plenty of down-time to rest and snuggle.

Pet care experience
Dogs are a huge part of my life! I got my first dog when I was in 4th grade and then volunteered with dogs at a local humane society throughout high school. After college, I was a live-in nanny for 6 years, helping to care for 2 different family dogs. During my years as a nanny, I also did a lot of dog sitting for a bunch of families in the neighborhood, taking care of the dogs at either my house or theirs. After getting married, my husband and I adopted a puppy of our own and we spent the past 9 years devoted to raising her! I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and providing medication.
Reviews

Maren was awesome with my pup! Great walks and TLC.

Charlie loved his stay! I'm so glad you were able to take him in. We appreciate the flexibility, attentiveness, and all the pictures! We will book with you again :).

Great communication and care. Would definitely call again! It's nice to know my aging dog was in good hands!

Maren was helpful and easy to work with! She communicated well and took great care of our pup. He enjoyed walks in the sunshine and snuggles at home, and was truly a part of their family while we were away. Thank you!
