I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I regularly pet-sit my teacher’s two Maltese dogs, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I’ve also helped care for a Great Pyrenees, which gave me experience handling large breeds that need confidence, patience, and attentive care. In addition, I’ve spent time around and built great relationships with my neighbors’ dogs, including a Corgi, an Australian Shepherd, and a Border Collie, which has helped me become comfortable with both playful companion breeds and highly active working dogs. Caring for my own rescue cats, Lily and Sky, has also taught me the importance of routine, gentle handling, and paying close attention to animal behavior. I treat every pet with patience, affection, and the same level of care I would want for my own.

1st time using this service and was extremely happy with the care Tamara provided. She was accommodating to a last minute booking and her communication was quick, responsive and thorough. I received multiple updates, pictures and videos. My puppy had a blast playing with her dogs and came home happy and exhausted.
This was my first time having someone from Rover do a house stay, and I'm so glad that Tamara did it! She took great care of Hailey and kept me up to date on everything going on. Tamara took great pictures as well. I'd ask her to sit Hailey again.
I highly reccomend Tamara. We were first time vistors to the area, and she was very accommodating when our plans changed last minute, was helpful answering our questions about the area, and was understanding when traveling back from D.C. took longer then we anticipated. Most importantly, my nervous dog settled in very quickly and was very comfortable staying with her, and I picked him up relaxed and happy.
Tammy was so sweet and so communicative and very flexible! You can tell Ben had the best night with her, and her space is perfect for the pups! Thanks for watching Ben, Tammy! 🐶

I’m flexible and able to provide attentive care throughout the day, especially during weekends and most weekdays. Since I’m local to Burke and nearby areas, I can reliably maintain your pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and companionship. I’ll make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away.
