I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I regularly pet-sit my teacher’s two Maltese dogs, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I’ve also helped care for a Great Pyrenees, which gave me experience handling large breeds that need confidence, patience, and attentive care. In addition, I’ve spent time around and built great relationships with my neighbors’ dogs, including a Corgi, an Australian Shepherd, and a Border Collie, which has helped me become comfortable with both playful companion breeds and highly active working dogs. Caring for my own rescue cats, Lily and Sky, has also taught me the importance of routine, gentle handling, and paying close attention to animal behavior. I treat every pet with patience, affection, and the same level of care I would want for my own.

Our dogs had a great time with Tamara! We got lots of pictures and updates and our dogs always looked like they were having a great time. Tamara was also very responsive and quick to answer all of our questions. It was the first time leaving our older dog, who has developed arthritis, and she listen to all our concerns and made sure our older dog was well taken care of.
Tammy was wonderful with our dog while we were away for a long weekend. She made sure to give him extra love and attention with walks and play time. She sent photos and updates regularly. Will definitely have her care for my dog in the future!
Tamara watched our three cats for a weekend and did a great job! She made sure they were fed, pet, and played with while we were away and also gave one of our cats a pill with every meal (and made sure the pill was taken). She followed our care directions and took great care in our home!
Sabrina seemed so happy when we picked her up ! Sent amazing updates and photos. I felt so comfortable knowing how Sabrina was doing during her first stay!
Tamara was wonderful and worked with my sweet pup who’s had anxiety and made him so comfortable and happy in her home! We got all the updates and sweet photos and she was so wonderful daily with communication! Sam is excited to go back and hang out!! ☺️
Tamara was very accommodating to a last-minute request to extend our time due to a home inspection. We are so thankful we found her and she takes great care of our dogs.

Schedule
I’m flexible and able to provide attentive care throughout the day, especially during weekends and most weekdays. Since I’m local to Burke and nearby areas, I can reliably maintain your pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and companionship. I’ll make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away.
