“Suzi was very kind to my old Bucky. She took special care of him with his particular needs and limitations. I highly recommend her and will certainly use her again when I have the need.”

“Jorge and Alejandra were AMZAZING!! I have a very anxious girl (dog) Roo and they made sure she was very comfortable and felt right at home! They were great about sending updates and putting my mind at ease! Roo had a great time and was very tired when she came home! I felt very comfortable with her staying with them! They truly treated her like part of the family and I will be contacting them when needed again!”

“Candice did a wonderful job caring for our dog! She was communicative throughout the booking, pre-arrival, during care, and through pick up. She genuinely cares about the dogs in her care. We will definitely use her again!”

“Joanna and John treat our pup with the greatest attention and highest level of care. When our four legged family member is in their hands, we never have to worry.”

“Andrea was an excellent host and took a great car of our dog! She strictly followed our instructions, provided frequent updates, and delivered instant communication. Her home is well equipped with everything a dog might need including gates and a fenced backyard. At our meet-and-greet, we instantly felt that our dog is welcome not just by Andrea, but also by both of her little dogs. Overall, she exceeded our expectations with a wonderful service. We will definitely come back again!”

“Aly did a great job. Sent a few updates throughout the week and monitored for any issues and checked in with any concerns. First experience with Rover and was pleased! Easy to coordinate drop off and pick up. Would use her again if we need a pet sitter!”

“It's our first time to have Guojin sit our dog. It was ten days long. We received pictures and videos every day. We're very happy with her service. Our dog seemed very happy too. We're definitely going to use her service in the future.”

“Karen has watched Ruby & Albert a couple of times & she is fabulous. She takes them for lots of walks and snuggles them. Plus she is great communicating with us and telling us how they are doing. Karen is wonderful.”

“Kate was an AMAZING sitter for my two pups. They looked comfortable and happy with her from the start. She sent photos and it was clear that they were relaxed and feeling at home. She was also very attentive to their behaviors and contacted me a couple of times to obtain suggestions on how to proceed. I cannot say enough good things about her! Hope to be able to leave them with her again in the future. THANK YOU KATE!!!”
“Brianna was fantastic! She sent me pictures every day and it literally looked like my dog was smiling in every one of them! Brianna is super responsive and took such great care of our pup! I’m already rebooking for summer vacation!”

“Mariel and her family were lovely. We received daily updates with pictures and videos. They took Remy on all sorts of fun adventures, entertained him with new toys and gave him lots of snuggles. Our pup is our baby and we would happily use Mariel again in the future.”

“We left our senior (15 yrs), dog in Michelle's care for a weekend, and couldn't have asked for a better environment, and family. Michelle was kind, extremely responsive (key criteria for us), and kept us updated throughout the weekend. We felt content knowing our dog was comfortable, and having fun with her new friends at Michelle's. Keep up the great work, Michelle!”

“Kooper always enjoys his stay with Rachel. She's absolutely wonderful sending us frequent updates with photos. We definitely have peace of mind when leaving Kooper with Rachel.”

“Carlos went above and beyond in the care and love he provided my dogs. They were regularly walked throughout the day and enjoyed their time with his dog, Sasha. He sent me many, many photos and videos showing them eating heartily, walking the sidewalks, and sleeping soundly. I highly recommend Carlod to others. You will have peace of mind.”

“Cindy is great for dogs that need to be with families when they are away from their humans. She has an awesome home and having her kids and other dogs around really helped keep my dog from getting lonely. Highly recommend!!”

“John was fantastic. Extremely communicative, took excellent care of my senior golden that requires medications and shorter walks due to ACL surgery. 10/10 recommend booking with John and we will be using his services again.”

“AMAZING. By far our best experience with anyone on Rover! Priscilla was very communicative. Perfect amount of pictures and videos as well as updates on how the stay was going. I could really tell that our girl was getting the care and attention she is used to as well as play time. We have an English bulldog, and anyone with one knows their folds need daily care, and I could see Priscilla gave these areas attention care as well. I would feel most confident and comfortable bringing our girl back to Priscilla without hesitation!”

“Poppy has stayed with Leslie several times and always has a blast. Poppy loves all the walks and attention. Couldn’t recommend a better dog sitter in the area. Love all the photos and videos too!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fairfax
We had an excellent experience with Chris and Ellen. They were friendly, communicative, and clearly attentive to our senior dog Macy’s needs. We received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us real peace of mind knowing Macy was comfortable, cared for, and in such good hands. They have a very friendly dog of their own and you can tell they genuinely love and understand dogs. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter.

Serena and family were a home away from home for our girl. She kept us informed of how our dog was doing and sent a lot of pics of her having fun with the other dogs that she has over at her home for daycare. Her large backyard is a wonderful playground for the dogs even in the summer heat with plentiful shade. I felt reassured she would be in good hands while we were away. Serena seems very knowledgeable about dogs and dog behavior generally. Extremely pleased, and we hope Serena will be available to sit for her next time we are away.
Leigh is amazing! She truly loves dogs and welcomes them into her home as if they’re her own. My senior dog wasn’t eating well the first two nights so Leigh paid extra close attention and tried a few tricks to get her to eat and it worked! My dog had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at her home. She also has a big fenced in yard that was perfect for my hound who loves smells. We will absolutely use Leigh again for boarding.

Mrs YJ L. was awesome with our 2 black labs. She is a gentle and kind lady who had no problem handling by 2 large dogs. She sent many photos each day showing how much fun our dogs were having in her care. They weren’t just playing by themselves with other dogs but I can see that she spent time playing with them. She provided toys and threw balls for them to catch. Her home provided a safe and comfortable environment for our babies. They came home healthy and happy. We can’t thank her enough for her accommodating style.

A big thanks to Natalia for her good care of my dog Yeena. Yeena is a picky eater but Natalia worked to get her meals she liked. Yeena is still learning to socialize so being able to run and play in her yard was perfect. Natalia sent several videos so I could see Yeena was enjoying her visit. I thank her again for her patience and hope we can call upon her in the future.

Michelle was amazing with our two doodles! We could tell from the first visit they felt safe in her home and trusted her. Her home is very pet friendly and suitable for extended pet stays. She sent daily pix and videos of them. We could tell they were happy and she treated them with love like they were her own. Michelle's positive energy made it apparent our girls were safe in her care. We would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking a qualified pet sitter who will help you feel relaxed so you can enjoy your time away from your pets.

This was my first time having a non family member take care of my 16 year old dog. I found Suzi on Rover and felt comfortable with the reviews showcasing how great Suzi was with other senior dogs. Once I reached out to her and I got to visit her and get to know her as a person and her caretaking experience I knew I had found the right person to care for my dog for a long weekend trip. My dog felt right at home as soon as she arrived to Suzi's house and from then on she received only love and the best care. I got daily texts from Suzi telling me how things were going which helped me feel comfortable and enjoy my trip more. Suzi was 100 percent focused on meeting my senior dog's needs and medical limitations. I plan to continue using her caretaking services many more times. I feel very lucky to have found her.

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
